Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

The more I hear about your film professor the more I am think he is one of those educators whose own education prepared them for how to pass their exams rather than actually teach them anything.

It's a woman, actually. I don't think she's actually a film professor by nature, but a Japanese studies professor because I've never seen her listed as a professor for any other film class. In fact, the other two professors I had for my foreign film classes were usually based in the cultural studies rather than film studies, though the guy I had for Cuban cinema definitely knew his stuff, and the woman I had for French film wasn't bad. This professor seems to know the least about film of the three, or at least she hasn't displayed a vast knowledge of it thus far. She's a slightly older woman (40s or so), and a tiny bit of research says she's teaching this class as well as Japanese pop culture, which leads me to believe she's mostly interested in Japanese culture, and not film analysis.

I'm not upset with her. There are only a handful of students in this class for cinema studies requirements, and most are here for culture requirements. They don't need to learn about montage theory or about how Marxist theory interacts with film; they need the basics of how to analyze film so they can interpret the images they see.

It's snowing buckets. We get lots of snow every winter, but this shit is unreal. The worst is when that drizzle starts to freeze, though. Ice is gnarly to drive on.

We are in the process of getting 80-100 cms dumped on us over about a 36 hour time period. Which sucks because prior to this storm we had practically no snow at all.

For some reason my opponents seem to love sliding out of the ring, taking apart the announce table, and then climbing back in. I am yet to see any interaction with the table otherwise.

But that reminds me, do you know if there are any other OMG moments besides the announce table, the corner barricades, and breaking the ring with two super heavyweights?

It happens a lot. They just slide out, get it ready, then walk off. Only one time though have I actually witnessed a guy do an OMG moment on it. One guy did fall through it after a running STO, which was lame.

The only other one is the suplex to the outside. It works the same as breaking the ring, except it involves two non super heavyweights.

Technically catch finishers count as OMG moments too, but I have yet to pull one off, and only a few guys have them.

I read an article on ESPN today about how Jarred Allen, Vikings DE and mullet aficionado, was one of those doomsday preparers who crazy prepared for the end of the world last month.

Welp, I'm 0/3 with the bars I've checked out for bartending gigs. Luckily that's a pretty small number compared to the huge amount of bars in Boston.

I think most of the big name WWE guys have catch finishers: Cena, Orton, Taker, possibly even Sheamus, etc. I'll have to test those out later.

This makes me sad. I like Jared Allen, but those doomsday preppers are nuts. I'd love to see some reaction statements from people who bought full into the 12/21/12 doomsday thing after it didn't happen. If anyone has any links to something like that, hook a brother up.

Driving out where? The only person that doesn't live within like, 30 minutes of Met Life Stadium is NorCal, and I'm sure he'll be spending the weekend in NJ, probably at IC or D-Man's house. Obviously I'll have to come down from Boston, but I plan on coming down after my classes on Friday.

Oh wow, didn't know you guys were quite that close. That's sweet!

Off the top of my head I know they have the AA, the GTS, the RKO, Sweet Chin Music/Super Kicks, and choke slams. Kane caught me in a few choke slams in Attitude Era mode.

Haha, nothing is that far in NJ unless you live in Southern NJ, though even then it's only like a 2 hour trip, totally doable in one day.

They can do it with the Tombstone too. I ate a few of those in AE mode.

I know as a Packer fan I'm not suppose to say shit like this but Allen is pretty awesome guy, he does crazy amounts of charity work, & not ust for his own charity either, but for shit like Wounded Warrior. He's also highly entertaining, & should get a TV job in no time after he retires. His cook book is pretty awesome too.

I sent a PM to Lowdown last night asking him if he'd be interested in joining the fantasy hockey league, I have yet to here a reply from him so I'm going assume he's not interested. Does anyone know if LSN still post here?, I remember him talking hockey a lot last year, if he still post I'd send him a PM asking him to join as well.

Thank you for a fantastic idea.

I don't mind Adr anymore, He's good in the ring, if he wouldn't of put me off with that destiny shit a while back, all the time. I would be a fan of his.

Delberto is WHC again.... :icon_neutral:

It just proves they have no faith in Ziggler. If they did, they would have let him be the one to beat Show. But that would screw up their formula when it comes to booking him to lose big time matches.

He is never going to be taken seriously as champ if they keep him booked like this. You cant expect people to care if you have the guy lose the way he does. I think he will cash in on ADR at the RR. He loses it at the EC. They wont likely have him keep it till WM. Look who he will probably have to face in the Chamber:

Show
ADR
Orton
Sheamus

Now I can see Show\ADR not winning, but I doubt they will have Ziggler go over Orton or Sheamus. Plus there is another slot open in that match. If Christian or Henry come back, one of them are in. Only way that Ziggler gets out of there with the belt is if they decide to put Langston in there so he can watch his back. But even then the chances are slim. Between RR & EC they will see he is a mistake & get the belt off of him in the Chamber one way or the other.

Just got back from Gangster Squad, and for a movie that took a refreshing change of pace in 40's cop movies, it had a ton of action movie cliches. That being said I enjoyed the movie somewhat, if you got a free movie ticket laying around or if you find Emma Stone simply beautiful than I suggest seeing it.

Better than Ziggler.

Watching Big Show take a massive dump in the ring after eating an x-lax lined bowl of bran flakes would be more entertaining than Dolph Ziggler.

Because I have impeccable taste in wrestling. And all forms of art, really.

Basically, I'm the coolest person you know.

You play the smark to my rational approach to professional wrestling, I'll say that much.

Think I might have a college story right up there with the robbers under my bed from last year. I'll let my Facebook status explain.

Why, I certainly love being woken up at 4AM to find that my bathroom and bedroom ceilings are leaking like mad because the people upstairs seem to have stuffed someone in their shower. Not like I have a class at 9AM or anything. Really classy, guys.

Apparently the girls living above us destroyed their toilet so the tank was spraying water at high pressure EVERYWHERE. Maintenance shut off their water. Like, I could hear it from my room, it seriously sounded like they had the shower on full blast it was that bad.

Basically they wrecked their whole apartment, got crazy drunk, and passed out on their couches, and it got so bad it was dripping like crazy through our ceiling. Carpet's soaked, luckily no real damage other than that. Got next to no sleep though. Great story, not so great Saturday.
