Glass Ass: The OFFICIAL JGlass Thread

So simply because Cutler had one good game we're supposed to ignore the fact that he's a total diva?

Aaron Rodgers has shoved cameramen away from him and Tom Brady is religiously known for fighting with his coaches. Yet we seem to be role models to ESPN. I'm not saying Cutler is on the same level as Brady or Rodgers, but no one seems to give him credit where credit is due.

Rodgers and Brady are also a million times better than Cutler. I don't think they should get a pass simply because they are better, but it certainly eliminates any question of if their behavior will effect their role on the team.

I always thought Pikachu was a smug asshole.

Cutler in his past 10 games as a starting QB is 9-1. And in that game where he argued with Tice he had a down right amazing game. So many of the people he pushes seem to get better. The entire locker room is behind Jay, even Urlacher who usually doesn't take that kind of attitude praises him as the toughest guy in the NFL. Jay doesn't get himself arrested, you don't find him in night clubs with underage girls, and you don't see his girlfriend blasting his team mates to the press after a dropped pass or two. Cutler is not the greatest guy in the world, but he is no where near as bad as ESPN makes him out to be.

Heh, puns. :lmao:

Come on guys, if Mark Sanchez threw for 275 yards and 2 TDs I'd be thrilled too. Then again, Mark Sanchez is easily in the bottom tier of starting QBs, and Cutler was once hailed as a future superstar.

Cutler's still got an arm... But he acts like a scolded child and makes some awful throws. I wouldn't be surprised if Campbell started in his place a few times by the end of the season.

Jiggles, you watch Breaking Bad, right?

Skyler is perhaps the biggest cunt in T.V history, one of the greatest characters to hate on T.V.

This is so far from the truth it's laughable. What has she done that's so terrible besides cheating on her husband? Not approve of the fact that he's a meth dealing murderer?

There are many bigger ***** in the history of TV. Jan from The Office comes to mind, as does the high pitched voice chick from Will and Grace. From what I understand most of the women on Mad Men are ***** too.

Skyler's a bitch, but she's not THE worst. She's annoying, but it's justified. She's only trying to protect her family, while refusing to throw her meth dealer husband under the bus and getting berated by her son. She's a bitch because of her circumstances, but I still don't like her.

So I'm going to buy some vidya games today... but I don't know what to get. Right now I'm thinking Saints Row 3 and Madden 13, but I might replace SR3 with an FPS/First person adventure game, but right now I have no ideas. Any suggestions?

Skyler is easy to hate when you watch the show from the perspective of Walt, but if the show was portrayed through the perspective of anyone else Skyler would look like the biggest victim. She's acting bitchy because she has to to protect her family.

NBA 2K13 is the best sports game I've ever played. Consider it, at least.

I can't argue with that. She's not in an enviable position. Walt's the main character, so most people look at him as the "good guy," but he uses the fact that he's in the drug trade to provide for his family as an excuse to do whatever the hell he wants. I'm sure he'll get worse and worse as the seasons go by.

I'm sure you would. It's a blast to play. The gameplay is smooth, the presentation is great, the soundtrack is awesome, and it's likely the best sports game of all time. I'd check out the demo on PSN, but it's an excellent game.

Absolutely, which is something it appears the Catalyst never counted on. I think one of the biggest messages of the game is that you can't stereotype anyone. There are Salarians who will consider emotions, Krogans that will push for peace, Geth that want to build bridges with Quarians, and humans that will sacrifice themselves to save the galaxy.

Definitely, strength through unity has been a recurring theme ever since ME1, and it's quite a great message. Appropriate for the world we live in.

Have you played Leviathan yet? It pretty much reveals the origins of the Reapers 100%, and it's a pretty satisfying backstory. The missions for it kind of suck, but the story is a good one and you get a powerful new power that you can give to Shepard.

No, I've not played Leviathan, can't imagine it'll be that long until I do. I've heard very mixed opinions on it. It's either a complete waste of time that complicates the ending, or it's up there with the Overlord, Lair of the Shadow Broker DLCs.

Damn, I've never been able to convince either guy to stand down. It must have something to do with the conversation choices because in my second play through I always had full paragon points.

What was your first saddest moment? Joker having to pull the Normandy away and abandoning Shepard? Something with the little boy?

It may do. I was always open to giving them a chance at redemption, especially Saren. Since the mission on Virmire, 'twas obvious he never really wanted to do what he did, and was indoctrinated. I'm not saying The Illusive Man wasn't indoctrinated, it's fairly obvious that he was, but Saren's reasons for assisting the Reapers was a lot more sincere, than Illusive Man's hunger for power. My first saddest moment was Mordin's death, that mission didn't feel much like a victory despite being arguably the biggest step you take towards galactic peace after that. What about yours? Joker Turning away the Normandy? The little boy's death didn't impact me much after playing the demo, 'twas still shocking the first time I did it though. Thane's death is definitely up there for me.

Oh lord, the sniper rifle was a godsend in my second play through, it made everything SO much easier. As far as I could tell it was really the only weapon worth using besides the assault rifle in ME2 as the shotgun was severely nerfed.

Never used the shotgun properly, only used submachine guns or assault rifles. And heavy pistols actually. What's your favourite sniper rifle in Mass Effect?

Don't forget the Guardians. The sniper rifle allows you the opportunity to shoot through the little slot in their shields, but it's a tough shot. I had Liara rocking biotics on that mission, but those guardians would come out of nowhere and we were usually separated, or sometimes she was dead. I also had James on that mission, and his heavy offense really wasn't much use against their shields.

Liara's endurance was never a strong point, still, Singularity's very useful. Being the only one that can down the Gaurdians isn't easy. Being made even more difficult without a sniper rifle.

So I hear. From what I understand they were rushed by EA or something to get the game out by the release date. At least they corrected their mistake.

Yes, something people tend to forget. Not many game developers would have even bothered with fixing their mistakes. Thank goodness 'twas free, otherwise there'd have been riots. Not really, but you get what I mean.

Picking destroy in my first play through was REALLY hard because I had sacrificed the Quarians for the Geth on Rannoch (I didn't have the option to save both), and I felt like destroying the Geth would have made the Quarian sacrifice all for naught. I also felt bad killing off EDI after encouraging Joker to fall for her. But it was the right decision for the galaxy. Species will always come and go, and it wasn't Shepard's fault that a few of them were wiped out during the Reaper Invasion. At least, it wasn't entirely his fault.

Exactly the same thing happened in my first playthrough, and I'll be honest, I felt like I fucked things up big time. I had to play it again, I had to save the Geth and Quarians. Of course in the grand scope of things, it could have been a lot worse. But after completing ME2 with no deaths, I felt like nobody should have been left behind.

I don't think there was a character for the embodiment of Synthesis, but it was similar to what Saren wanted.

I suppose the fact that the catalyst is pushing so hard for Synthesis to be chosen should give away that it is the wrong choice, but he does sell it pretty well. Eternal peace, total cooperation between races, the final stop on the evolutionary train... pretty solid stuff, right?

I think Javiik's belief that evolution is the greatest force in the galaxy is telling about the Reaper's Plan's fatal flaw. They want to stop evolution every 50,000 years, and once Shepard has proven that they won't always win they want to put the kibosh on evolution altogether.

Of course, very solid. I fell for it in second playthrough... that little cunt did indeed trick me. Yes, although Javik's got a very cynical view on just about everything (justifiably so) he's not wrong often.

It's very tempting to make Shepard into a well meaning dictator of the most powerful race in the galaxy... but that just sounds like the beginning to a tragic story of a man that comes into power only to fall into darkness.

It does. I felt I'd need to be there myself to make every decision, to basically keep him behaved. I've never trusted that option for that reason amongst others already mentioned.

It's actually even more non-interference than Destroy is, which kind of fits my philosophy for the game a little better. However, I just can't get past the fact that all my friends are going to die and it's all my fault.

Exactly. I'd have loved to do Refusal and end up winning regardless based on your galactic readiness and military strength. So many friends lost for doing nothing is completely unlike Shepard though. At least my Shepards anyway.

Are you sure that this is the last Mass Effect? The little note BioWare leaves for you at the end of the game implies they might make another game that takes place in the Mass Effect universe.

I think that's for DLCs. But you're right about another Mass Effect game, I think. BioWare seem like they want to do another. I just hope it isn't a ME4. I have trouble imagining that turning out well. A prequel would be best, there's PLENTY of history that you could play through: The Rachni Wars, The Krogan Rebellions, The Morning War, and so on. And that's just shit we know about. You heard about this Retaliation DLC? The return of the Collectors?

I watched Wrath Of The Titans & The Raid last night.

Wrath Of The Titans - Laughably bad.

The Raid - Watch it. Watch it now.
