It was Evolve 1, I have Evolve 4 on DVD, thats when Danielson returned after the tie incident to face Bobby. Load of ties were thrown into the ring while he was making his entrance.

It wasn't Evolve 1, they might have faced each other there, but that's not the match I'm thinking of. It was in the smaller building. I want to say it was the same show Moxley vs. Homicide was on, but I'm not 100% sure.

EDIT: Just looked it up, it was 6.

Anybody want to chime in with their most anticipated match from the 11th Anniversary card??

Honestly I can't narrow it down to one contest that I want to see most. If pushed I would probably be between the Wolves/Forever Hooligans match or Strong/Elgin 2/3 falls. But really there is not one match booked on this card that should disapoint. I don't know if there will be one match the caliber of Steen/Elgin, but overall this show could end up stacking up very nicely with GBH XI(my vote for ROH's best show last year), atleast on paper.

I also expect that the likes of ACH, who recently signed I contract(there is a god), QT Marshall, TD Thomas, and/or Silas Young will be added in some fashion as well. Anyone care to predict how?

American Wolves versus Forever Hooligans.

Great move by Delirious to pick up one of wrestling finest tag teams, and one of New Japan's finest tag teams at that. Both men have history in Ring of Honor, Romero has history with Davey going back to NRC, all four have very similar in-ring styles; I just can't see the match being bad. TNA supposedly severed ties with New Japan after their poor use of talents so maybe Ring of Honor has a chance of doing it the right way.

Looking forward to every match on the card though, even SCUM versus C&C, solely cause I'm interested in who'll be joining SCUM.

ROH 11th Anniversary Predictions

Kevin Steen (c) versus Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship

The Briscoes (c) Bobby Fish & Kyle O'Reilly for the ROH World Tag Team Championship

The American Wolves (Eddie Edwards & Davey Richards) vs The Forever Hooligans (Rocky Romero & Alex Koslov) in a Dream Tag Match

"Unbreakable" Michael Elgin vs Roderick Strong in a 2 out of 3 Falls match, with Truth Martini banned from ringside.

Adam Cole (c) versus ??? for the ROH World TV Championship

"The Outlaw" Charlie Haas vs BJ Whitmer in a No Holds Barred Match

SCUM (Jimmy Jacobs & Steve Corino) vs Caprice Coleman & Cedric Alexander

Now... I haven't been watching for over a year. But do those predictions sound about right to you ROH veterans?

Honestly I think most of the matches on this card could go either way, but if pressed I'd disagree on a couple predictions...

As of this last week's TV, Cole will be facing Taven who won the TPT and will have Truth in his corner, but I don't think Cole drops the belt at this show. Especially since he still hasn't had to defend it against Hardy and that rematch already has a title stipulation if it happens.

I also don't see Steen dropping to Lethal here, unless there is a massive double-swerve where Lethal takes Steen's place as leader of SCUM.

In fact I'd say the tag straps are at most risk of changing hands, but I agree that the Briscoes are likely to retain as well.

I think the Wolves will get the better of Romero and Koslov, it doesn't seem to jive with me that they'll be booked to lose against guests, and this may be a one-off for the Hooligans.

And hopefully BJ gets his revenge against the Haas-hole, maybe with an assist from Brindell(Cheeseburger).

But, again, this card is put together in such a way where anything could happen.

Well, I was on the right track.

According to ROH's site they have signed a new match for the 11th Anniversary show...

It's "6-Man Mayhem" featuring TD Thomas, ACH, Silas Young, QT Marshall, Adam Page, and Mike Sydal.

TaDarius, ACH, Young and Page I dig. Sydal is working off his brothers fame and Marshall is pretty horrendous. Wouldn't surprise me if given the time he transitioned into a Mike Bennett-esq type of guy - nobody likes him at first, but if he places the effort and work in he'll gain fans respect.

I want to get more into ROH. I've seen highlights of most of the guys and their work. I know the basics, but I don't know where I can watch it. Are the weekly shows online?

Yeah. They post the newest episode on their website each Thursday if I'm not mistaken.

I think this pretty well hits it.
Thomas is an interesting case. A guy who came into the business late, but has such a unique offensive arsenal. I think he has alot of upside and he continues to show flashes of it.

Young is a more than serviceable vet and would make a solid full time roster addition.

Page has serious potential for a 21 year old.

ACH is the high-flyer the roster has been missing. A great signing.

I am also a fan of Taven who is another solid midcarder to help round out the roster. Should be interesting to see how far Truth can take him.

Sydal is a bust. Generic, puny, and on the sloppy side. Even his high spots aren't overly impressive. He isn't half the performer his brother is(and I'm not the biggest Bourne fan to say the least).

As for the Marshall/Bennett comparison. I see what you're getting at, but while Marshall may be able to round himself into a comparable worker, he doesn't nearly have Bennett's look or natural charisma. I also can't imagine he has Bennett's work ethic. Bennett is constantly working to improve. Marshall seems like the type to be satisfied that he found a way to make it this far.

Glad to read the Hardy has a job. Thought his ass was still in rehab. I was hoping for him to be TNA's A&8's reveal, but this steady start is probably better for him.

We got New Japan Pro Wrestling talent at the 11th Anniversary Show, now Pro Wrestling NOAH at Border Wars??! I fucking love Delirious. This is the shit Jim Cornette should have been doing!

KENTA or Morishima versus Michael Elgin should be a given, know there's little chance of it happening but if KENTA versus Steen could somehow clash It'd be awesome. The brutality!

This week's episode of ROH on SBG was very good television.

I liked the segment with Nigel in the ring surrounded by the non-SCUM members of the locker room. It came together nicely, and put a few guys, as well as the war angle over, it set-up some fun future title defenses, and culminated in a nice simple promo by Jay Briscoe.

Also- Taven and Truth are a match made in a very obscene corner of heaven.

As for the wrestling action, seeing RD Evans back for the QT/BJ match was a nice treat, and I wonder who the female companion he was hinting at will be. QT looked better with the blonde die on the top of his thinning hair. And most importantly BJ looked good dominating the contest and it was good to have that type of performance to back up his announced future title shot at Steen.

As for Roddy/Lethal- I hate to see Roddy have to do a clean seven minute job to Lethal, and it makes me wonder where they are going to go with Strong in near future, but it was a good match for what it was. It also gives Lethal momentum heading into a number one contender's match with Elgin at Supercard.

But the highlight of the show was definitelty the tag match between the Wolves and the first ever pairing of TD and ACH. This was just an awesome television tag contest and the crowd was into it big time. I really like the chemistry between Thomas and ACH and would be very happy to see them continue to team up in the future and see where it goes. A match between them and C&C could produce fireworks. And if its true that the Bravados are on their way out of ROH and will be focusing their American bookings on Chikara instead, the ACH/Thomas pairing could be a good supplement to the shallow tag ranks.

Marufuji's two matches at Border Wars weekend are going to be against Davey Richards at the IPPV and Elgin at the TV tapings.

There is a God(and apparently he is a lizard man).

Not strictly speaking ROH, but who cares it's still indie related. What's Brian Cage(-Taylor) doing these days? TNA passed on him on Gut Check, but other than that I don't know what he'd been doing. He did some enjoyable stuff back in FCW, good in the ring but never really amounted to much before he got canned.

He's a regular in PWG, but as far as I know that's the only major indy he does regularly. Maybe the former NWA Hollywood as well, but that's about it.

Is PWG worth watching? I'm going to be bored over the summer so I'm going to try following indie 'rassling. ROH holds no appeal for me (I didn't like their shit when Danielson was there, don't see why I would now) and Chikara's as funny as a punch in the balls. I'm not going to follow a fed I've not heard of, so that leaves DGUSA and PWG. The only thing I know about either is one's booked by the guy who got fired from booking ROH, and one (apparently) has Brian Cage, who I like.

So is ROH not shit yet? Ive tried it repeatedly, but everytime is just downright fucking cringeworthy

Well, lets put it this way, they have Matt Hardy. Really outside of Steen, Lethal, & the Briscoes (and I'm not even a huge Briscoes fan) they really don't have much going for them right now, WWE & TNA have pretty taken the best ROH had to offer, & now all that's left are scraps & has beens. What I've seen of the Weekly show sucks. Occasionally you'll get a few decent good matches on the iPPV's but overall I haven't been all that impressed with them lately.

Even if the likes of Strong, Richards, Edwards, etc. aren't your thing, it is ridiculous to call them scraps or has-beens.

Also along with the "scraps and has-beens" ROH continues to develop the most talented mid-twenties and younger wrestlers in the country. The same way ROH was a developing and proving ground for the Styles', Joe's, Punk's, Aries', Rollins', Bryan's, etc. of the world, it is now doing the same for the next crop. Guys like Elgin and Cole are already amazing talents. They have even surpassed guys like Lethal who you mentioned. Arguably the number one reason to follow ROH right now is to watch the Elgin's, and Cole's, and Cedric Alexander's, and Kyle O'Reilly's, who are very young and have a shot at being stars in the business.
