Jam packed crowd, potentially sold-out even and a cool set-up.

For those interested, THAT is the lighting rig ROH bought, this is the first time they've used it. It looks pretty good.

Roderick Strong has re-signed with Ring of Honor, the company announced Tuesday.

PWTorch has learned that Strong's deal is an exclusive deal with ROH, similar to deals with current ROH World & TV champion Jay Lethal and The Briscoes.

Strong has the ability to work out individual bookings with the ROH office, such as PWG, where he is currently PWG champion, but he is unlikely to work for a promotion like WWNLive (EVOLVE/DGUSA) while under contract to ROH.

Earlier this year, Strong wrestled for ROH and WWNLive on the same weekend, but that is off the table.

In Tuesday's announcement, ROH touted Strong as exemplifying Ring of Honor’s pride for having the best wrestling on the planet."

Strong wrestled Jay Lethal to a 60-minute draw on last weekend's "Death Before Dishonor" Internet PPV. Their re-match is August 21 in Philadelphia.

Strong then faces IWGP World Hvt. champion Kazuchika Okada on August 22 in Brooklyn, N.Y. in a ROH vs. New Japan star clash.

Strong, who is having one of the best runs of his career entering his 13th year wrestling for ROH, said in the press release: "I’ve set the bar really high for myself and anyone who comes after me. I’ve got unfinished business in Ring of Honor and winning that ROH World Championship for a second time is of the utmost importance!”

If you're a fan of Roddy in PWG, I'd say you'd be betting against the house if you were to bet he won't be pulled from their shows. Don't be surprised if he drops the title at BOLA.

Also DS if you could resig this to WZ forum required size that would be amazing. :)

They'll most likely release a poster for both matches after Roddy vs. Lethal in Philly.

Edit: Also, gotta love how every guy in the foreground is an ex-TNA/WWE guy.

It's just simple marketing, they have the most exposure, they go on the front, however I wouldn't classify Jay Lethal as an ex-TNA guy anymore, I think most people would refer to him as an ROH guy, not how like Styles is still kind of the ex-TNA guy working in ROH, or how Xavier Woods is never referred to as an ex-TNA guy when people refer to his WWE work.

That looks awesome. Seems to be worth the money. Where is this arena located?

Sam's Town, it was used at the Las Vegas house show. The fact they went a bit over the top on production for a house show is a good thing. I thought Baltimore looked better than this for DBD13 though.

I tend to consider someone a ??? Guy, if their big break came through there. So Raven is an ECW guy, Triple H is a WWE guy, and Jay Lethal is a TNA guy. Kurt Angle may have spent more of his career in TNA, but he's still very much a WWE guy. Whereas EC3's big break was in TNA, which wipes the slate clean with him for the most part.

I'm more for where they achieved more or made more of an impact. I wouldn't consider Angle a WWE guy anymore, for example, hes been in TNA too long and has been their cornerstone for close to a decade now. Lethal is a completely ROH guy for me not because of his current run, but also because really his big break by your standards came in ROH. He was the protogé of Samoa Joe and challenged CM Punk during the Summer of Punk which was a huge angle at the time which everyone on internet forums was following.

It looks good. The arena would look nice on TV.

I am trying to get back into ROH. I remember back in the day I would watch ROH on my PS3. There was only 13 maybe 14 episodes. Show was awesome an from the talk around here it has still been awesome.

Honestly, the NYC TV tapings which are airing right now on Destination America haven't been great. However I've heard a lot of good stuff about the Baltimore TV tapings so I'm just holding out for those right now. The PPV's, iPPV's and house shows are all delivering though. I'd highly recommend last Friday's Death Before Dishonor iPPV.

So the Philly tapings will have

- KUSHIDA vs. Matt Sydal
- Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Adam Cole
- Jay Lethal vs. Roderick Strong for the ROH World title

And that's without Kazuchika Okada, The Briscoes, The Addiction or reDRagon booked for a match yet and Michael Elgin will be back from the G1. This taping is gonna be good!

Finally getting around to last night's TV show. Maria is what Stephanie tries to be on Raw. She knows she's gorgeous and better than everyone, but has just enough cockiness to not sound self obsessed and can make the "I told you so" moments sound perfect.

Listening to WOR atmo, the July 27th one. Bryan thinks that the match of Strong vs. Lethal is going to be repeated two more times in a best of three match, the next match also being one hour and the one after that being no time limit.

If true, that would be completely ridiculous.

That's what they did with Punk/Joe, which is probably what they are going for. The problem is that Roddy and Lethal aren't nearly as good, and I can't see crowds going for that in 2015. I've seen/heard tons of people who were pissed about the first match going to a draw, so I can only imaging what'll happen if they do it again.

The only problem I saw with the first match was that it was soo fucking hot in that building & both men looked like that were pretty much dead after abut the 30 min. mark, so there were pretty substantial sections of the match were the action pretty much came to a complete stop as the guys were trying to catch their breath & rolling out of the ring to get away from that damn lighting rig (that same lighting rig JR's been on them about since he started podcasting) that was just cooking them when they were in the ring. I was literally tweeting with people at the show & they were bored at points in that match.

They also kept saying the Cary wasn't at the show that night, which if you know anything about ROH, Cary is pretty much always at the show in which a title change is going to happen since he's the guy that present the new champion with the belt, so the second I heard commentary say Cary was watching from a home I knew Lethal was retaining, & as the match went on it became more & more clear they were going for the 60 min. time limit draw.

Problem with the draw this time was the way they worked the match. You could tell 20 minutes into it that they were trying to stretch it out, neither was going for the win, it took Lethal 40 minutes to even try the Lethal Injection.

I don't mind them doing the series, so long as they do it right.
