Sam, have you played the Mario + Rabbids game? I think it was you you said you were interested. I have enough in my Christmas fund to get either that, BOTW, or Splatoon 2. I think the former peaks my interest the most, but the girlfriend would have more fun with Splatoon or Zelda, so I'm conflicted.

I've not played it but I have played Zelda and Splatoon so, if you want to emulate your heroes, you know what to do.

I don't think you can really go wrong with any combination.

I've been waiting and saving for six months for tomorrow. Just got to find the right deal.

Although I'm not even sure that I should be getting it given that a jackass builder has left me and my family without a bathroom to use.

Rainbow Six Seige is getting more goodies with three new multiplayer maps and 8 new operators! Impressed with the dedication being put into this three year old game.

If I am going to fully complete Mario Odyssey before tucking into BotW, I might be a while...

It took me a little over a week but it did become almost compulsive after a while.

Upon trying to play Ultra Sun today I ran into an error saying the save data is incompatible. This came out of the blue, I'd just played last night with no issue and hadn't touched the game since.

Gonna try to contact Nintendo support about it. All my Pokémon literally since the GBA games were in boxes on that game and to say I'd be upset about losing them is an understatement.

Is this a file save transfer job or not?

When the Pokémon games on the 3ds save, they save a bit of extra data to both the system and the cartridge (or SD card for digital games, which is my scenario). Somehow when I was last playing Ultra Sun my most recent save before this incident put this data on my system but not the SD card- I'm not sure if the card came loose or had some sort of error or what.

Nintendo support couldn't help me as while they can remotely access my system's data, that data isn't the issue. My only option now is to use a savefile manager via homebrew and inject my save back in (thankfully I have it backed up on my PC). This will trigger the incompatible error again, but with the file manager application I can remove the data on the system, re-inject the save, and be back to my old save prior to this issue.

Is Breath of the Wild really worth all the hoopla that it's getting? It's just been named Game of the Year by a few places. I'm thinking about getting a Switch just to play it. Is it worth all that?

You can make Link take his clothes off, so that would be up your alley. Then again, people complain in game when you run around naked so maybe it isn’t for you.

I've put 145 hours into Breath of the Wild. Man, terrible game.

But in all seriousness; the 2nd pack of DLC has been interesting so far, as far as the story bit is concerned. I also remembered earlier today that Hello Neighbor came out today, I'd nearly forgotten it due to my Zelda hype, but thanks to
dying multiple times during my revisit of the Yiga Clan Hideout
, I'm willing to take a break to play Hello Neighbor awhile.

I'm sold on the Switch after 5 hours of Mario Odyssey on a buds system. Best Mario ever. Only thing I don't like is the ease of the bosses (Same with every Mario) but that's quickly forgotten by the level design and fun factor in every other part of the game. Somebody mail me a Switch right now.

How would you know all this? Did you make Link run around naked? Sounds like you had Link run around naked and people complained about it. Maybe you're the one who's enjoying the game a little too much.

Or maybe he read about it on the internet.

Also possible that he encountered people before ever wearing armor, since Link wakes up naked and his old clothes aren't worth a shit.

The Champions Ballad main quest was solid.
The final boss Monk was unique and hard as hell in Master Mode. The Master Cycle Zero and the additional memories were worth it, but I wish it would've given some sort of alteration either to the final Ganon fight or the final cutscene after.
Working on gathering the new items and armor now.

Anyone playing the Monster Hunter demo this weekend? I like it considering the 30 minutes that I played tonight was my first exposure to the franchise.

If I had a PS4 I'd be all over that demo. I've played MH since the first game on the PS2, and from what I've seen World has a good chance at beating MH4U as the best game in the series.

Playing Mass Effect Andromada, the first few hours of this game were pretty slow to the point where I didn't think I'd like the game at all. Things are picking up and I've cleared the first massive vault on a planet while picking up a badass alien character who just wants to fuck things up and another unique female character who is archeology obsessed. I'm still pretty disappointed in how bland as shit my main character is, like the father in Brady Bunch for God sakes, he's so boring I'm hoping something terrible happens to him just so I can half invest in his character.
