Gamers unite -HQ

Just did the New Donk City Festival in Mario Odyssey. That was incredible.
Oh it's the best. And the music is even better.

And Nintendo just released a soundtrack to the game on iTunes. Unfortunately it's only on iTunes and Apple sucks, but Jump Up Super Star is there 4 times.

is it just me or do Nintendo consoles Suck if you are playing a game that isnt a Nintendo Exclusive?

It's a bit of a generalisation but it's difficult to argue against it. The Switch isn't perfect on that front based on what I've read.

And the best games on 3ds are Nintendo or from those closely associated with them.

On the whole though, since the Wii, Nintendo have gone down a completely different path with their consoles and once Microsoft and Sony did not really follow, there became a great divide in the type of games Nintendo was suited to compared to Xbox/Playstation.

That made it a far more involved process to port games to Nintendo, and with the ridiculously rapid turnover of games, the extra time needed to do became a turn-off for many developers.

That said, it is still possible to do it right and there have been some great ports to Nintendo consoles.

One of the FIFAs worked an absolute treat on the Wii with the Wiimote allowing for pinpoint passing. Batman Arkham City was tremendous on the WiiU; better than the PC versions I had played in the series.

When it comes to Nintendo consoles I find that it's more of a case if what they have rather than what they don't.

Games like Pokémon, Zelda and Mario Kart. All unique & never bettered.

If developers can put in the time and imagination that Nintendo themselves do then the lack of power should not be a hindrance.

it may have changed since then but in 2009 i had a Wii and one thing i hated about it was that when i played a game that was both on the Wii and the Xbox 360/PS3 I noticed that the Wii's version had like half the features the other systems had

Playing Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain. I'm on an intense mission where I have to kill these five prisoners being held hostage. Boss finds them and they're only little kids so you have to carry one of the weak ones and order the other 4 with a -wait- and -go- command to the chopper extraction. I get half way there when I get too ballsy and alert the bad guys. They start hunting us down in this valley from behind, it comes down to me running wildly with this little kid over my shoulder and offing bad guys with a handgun, then I have no idea what wrong button I pressed but my character threw the kid like he was a grenade! I laughed so hard while getting ripped up by bullets that I didn't care that I failed the mission. Not sure what I was expecting when throwing the poor kid like a second weapon. Fuck this game is awesome.

Detective Pikachu for 3DS is heading to the West in March, and with it an amiibo that's huge in comparison to the Smash Bros. Pikachu amiibo:

I finally got a PS4. Any suggestions for games

In bought Shadow Warrior 1 & 2, Worms Battlegrounds and Grim Fandango. The PS4 also came with the Crash Bandicoot trilogy and No Man's Sky

I'm all for the Labo. It costs a little more than a game (you're mostly paying for software anyway) and it's something interesting for kids and the kids at heart, which is what they said was their target audience.

That and the fact the sole commercial it's gotten so far is better than any marketing done for the Wii U and I see this being yet another Nintendo success.

899 Moons in Mario Odyssey...

There is only one I am failing to get...

And I got it! It was the damned skipping one in New Donk City.

Collected everything - moons, regional coins, hats, souvenirs, except the 9999 coin skeleton costume. Not sure I am willing to spend the time collecting that many coins...

Needed: 9999
Current: 60

I can't see it happening...

The 'without jumping' is basically a lie. Bouncing off Cappy is a jump.
You can get near 200 coins a minute from that bonus vine in Bowser's Kingdom.
