Gamers unite -HQ

Some people would lie down in traffic before they said a bad word about Bayonetta. Every game on that list is a justifiable 10/10. Colour me excited.

I just read a bit about it, and that game sounds like it's right up my alley. I'll probably buy it tonight.

Maybe we can play together sometime? <3

It's a whole $20, but well worth it. The map is pretty damn Massive despite the towns and cities being so damn deep and rich to explore. I had a damn good time ignoring the main quest to simply up my numbers and upgrade my home base.

Ain't no mulitplayer sadly, but I heard rumors they might add some if the game does well enough. That could be a lie though.

I would have never figured you for a GTA 4 guy.

Huh, from reading the description is sounds like it would be perfect for multiplayer. Shame.

Bayonetta is phenomenal. It deserves the 10/10.

I think it's one of those games that is the pinnacle of a genre, I've not played all of it but I've had a go briefly and what I've seen is excellent. It's not my thing personally but it certainly felt better to play than God of War or DMC.

I think 9/10 would be a solid score for it given that I know a few people said it was great but not quite perfect. From what I've seen played and read a 10/10 certainly isn't unjustifiable.

But yeah, last of us has me even more excited than it already did.

Yeah but a 10/10 isn't a perfect game, reviewers always say that. Ocarina of Time is far from perfect and has tons of glitches.

State of Decay: fun, addicting, exhilarating, and riddled with flaws. Still a good time though. I wonder if they plan on working out some of the bugs and glitches considering this was just day one of the release.

Man if there's one thing I hate about online consoles its that games can be released buggy as all hell and 'fixed' later. Unless its impracticality expensive. Remember what happened to Fez?

Last of Us seems to be getting 10s left right and centre.

GOD DAMMIT!!! Now I have to go buy another PS3.

I have Arkham City sitting next to my XBox waiting to be played right now. I'm about halfway through Rage right now, and I'm really not that enamored with it anymore, but I'm a bit of a completionist so I don't want to give up either.

That is good news. I've been contemplating buying a PS3 just for this and the Uncharted series. Hopefully it'll be worth it.

I bought a PS3 just to play Yakuza 3 and 4. I sold it since PS3's exclusives, in my opinion, are shit compared to the ones on the 360. I have to play The Last of Us, though.

He has a cunty name.

Looks like a cunt
Carries himself like a cunt
Has the ego of a cunt
Acts cunty regarding his ONE game
Has a cunty attitude to anyone that criticizes him
Claims that he's sad after he's gotten all the "unjust hate"

Seriously, what does he expect when he says
1. That all japanese games are shit
2. Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate should be on the Vita as it's shit on the 3DS and claiming the 3DS wasn't very good.
3. Claims all that PC's are good for is spreadsheets and makes arrogant statements about how his game was only made for the Xbox and that PC users should be lucky to be getting it
4. Mocks gamers with statements like this in regards to his game "...it's #1 on steam right now and it's not even out yet. you should boycott harder, nerds..."(His game dropped to #13 the next week)

Yeah in short:

Phil Fish is a cunt.

I'm not really bothered. Kiefer Sutherland should do a pretty good job. Plus people didn't bitch half as much when Richard Doyle voiced him in MGS4.

Been playing Duke Nukem Forever recently and honestly I'd rather play that than a lot of the FPS's out now

xBOne has showed how stuff will work:

http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/privacy for kinect.
http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/license for games.
http://news.xbox.com/2013/06/connected for net connection.

Main things are:

- With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.

- In our role as a game publisher, Microsoft Studios will enable you to give your games to friends or trade in your Xbox One games at participating retailers. Third party publishers may opt in or out of supporting game resale and may set up business terms or transfer fees with retailers. Microsoft does not receive any compensation as part of this. In addition, third party publishers can enable you to give games to friends. Loaning or renting games won’t be available at launch, but we are exploring the possibilities with our partners.

I enjoyed it for what it was, I just wish I hadn't paid full price. Not as bad as many reviewers made it out to be, though, but not good enough to justify the 30 year development cycle.

Well I borrowed it from a friend and really enjoyed it. I'll probably get it at some point for myself and it's probably dirt cheap now anyway

Expectations hurt it for me, but if I'd come into like you I've no doubt I'd think better of it. I just hope the franchise continues, because the Duke character is one of my personal favorites in all of gaming.

Also, has anyone played the Fire Pro Wrestling game on Xbox Live? I just stumbled across it, and now I'm getting the demo. The reviews I've read aren't flattering, but they aren't bad enough to run me off. Anybody tried it?

What really stood out to me were these things:
 • 24 hour DRM
 • 1 hour DRM if not using home console
 • No games rentals
 • Used games determined by publisher, participating retailers only which completely negates any potential possibility of private selling.
 • Can lend a game to a friend whom has been on your friends list for at least 30 days, and only once

If PS4 implements these things(Well except the DRM) too then I'm moving to fucking Nintendo(Ugh never thought I'd say that).

I do think that there is a chance that both Sony and Microsoft in catering too much to more hardcore gamers and their own pockets will undermine some of their more casual fans.

Enough to make a real difference? I do not think so

However, the negative reaction to the XBox One and PS4 (and how both companies seem to focus on just each other) should definitely encourage Nintendo to stick to the niche that the Wii carved for them, while at the same time reaching out to other game companies to get their games ported to the Wii U, such as they have done with Arkham City, Assassin's Creed III, Darksiders etc. That way they could actually present themselves as a viable alternative to those annoyed by the insularity of Sony and Microsoft.
