Future Endeavored

In Orton's case, he is on a long term deal - 6 years left so it's a tough position for WWE. They'd love to re-negotiate it I am sure but till he screws up again they can't, I do see him being released but cos I cannot see him staying clean for 6 years, his record so far says he can't.

As for the annual releases, some bigger names will probably go this year, based on the sheer level of talent coming up from FCW. Guys are coming up better prepared and in the main ready to go to mid card and higher within a year so that means those really doing nothing are in danger.

DiBiase is interesting cos I have seen that he is considering his future anyway, I personally would not blame him but I think Vince owes him a little bit as he hasn't been treated particularly fairly. So I can see him staying if he gets some assurances, same for Swagger, he is someone who has talent, potential and is a great worker so I am not sure they want to let him go just yet.

Some are obvious, Riley (beware the Cena monster), Tatsu, JTG, Hawkins, Kidd and Ryan but of the shock names I can see Ryder being one, that they are ending his youtube show indicates either a release or repackage. Someone said Truth and I can see why, but he could still help put some new guys over first.

The biggest shock names I see are gonna be guys like Mark Henry, it's been known for a while he is struggling to come back from his injuries and time was short for him anyways. If he isn't back in the Rumble then I would expect them to cut their losses as he isn't someone who has a massive out of ring potential. Rey Mysterio is one I can see going and not through wellness, although that is a big possibility Rey is clearly starting to wane in the ring and there is less and less for him to really do other than start losing lots of matches to newer talents. I can see him wanting to do one last run in Mexico or Japan before retiring and asking for his release.

Well I dont expect them to fire Mark Henry or Rey as others seems to think. Those two can still go and are known to the general audience still and are somewhat relevant

Guys like Joe Henning. JTG,maybe Swagger ( tho i hope he becomes mr.America and feuds with Antonio C. ).

To be honest there isnt much talent that could get let go for the simple fact that the company NEEDs jobers. And there arent a lot. I mean if they fire the above. They got who left for single competition ? The Wolf AUUUUUUUUUU ...I mean Justin Gabriel, Tyson Kidd ( who they are really dropping the ball with ).

If they dont come up with stuff for 3MB too do I could see them getting rid of them. But as always they need jobbers and some low mid carders that can sometimes have a good match and be relatively credible.

Khali they will never fire because it seems that he is the only draw for indians.Tho I read on a site from a indian blogger that people in India actually dont care for Khali as much as people might get you to think. And that he is pretty irrelevant.

There's a much better chance of Kofi getting fired than Khali I think. Khali is at least supposed to be hugely popular in India. Considering the size of India's population, I doubt WWE will ever fire the guy who probably makes them the most money over there. Khali will probably be with the company until he chooses to leave, even just making appearances after he retires from in-ring work. That's my prediction anyway. He is valuable to WWE.

I don't know why you think Kofi has no chance of being released. He's only a midcarder and I don't think WWE plans on giving him the same kind of megapush that they started w/ the 2009 feud w/ Orton. He's actually one of the first people that came to my mind when I read the original post. I think he will be in danger of getting cut. WWE does not seem to care about the midcard anymore. Everybody just gets shot to mainevent, thrown in a tag team or becomes a jobber.

I also agree with you about Sheamus, I would love if I didn't have to fast forward through that idiot anymore. Sadly not gonna happen

Also I agree with the people saying Riley might be in danger of getting released, which upsets me, because I like him. As for Orton he won't be getting released, even if he fails that third drug test they'll cover it up, I'm sure he's already failed more than 3 by now anyway. He's one of the most over people on the roster, until that changes I doubt he is in danger of anything really

So Jinder Hall or whatever his name is you think has no play in this? I think he is someone they will push, and if they can turn him face in say 6 months to a year or at least a tweener, you think he would have no impact on Khali's future? I think so, I think you list the reasons why they keep him and he's on tv and maybe this is just my wishful thinking but I hope he is gone soon.

Someone I fear being cut and I'd be interested in hearing people's opinions on this is R-truth. I think he had a suspension, now he's hurt and has seemed lost in the crowd imo since turning face. I know he had the tag-titles with Kofi for a bit but since the feud with Cena/Rock he's sorta teetered on irrelevant. He had the tag titles before Kane and Bryan and when I feel like the WWE has focused has really focused on building that division up and make it actually one of the stronger parts of its show.

I guess WWE will probably try to have Jinder Mahal take the spot on the roster that Khali held once Khali leaves, but I really don't think Mahal will be forcing Khali out the door any sooner than Khali wants to go.

I don't think Jinder Mahal will have the same success that Khali did (purely as being a big name in India, not talking about entertainment value here), because he doesn't have the unstoppable monster push that Khali had the benefit of getting, and obviously doesn't have the freakish height either. I'm guessing WWE would rather milk Khali for all he's worth and then worry about pushing Jinder Mahal to that level once he's gone. It's short-sighted thinking but that's nothing new. Sad cuz I've wanted him gone too, since the 2007 draft

The Great Kalhi pair him with Jinder Mahal. Build Kalhi back into a stupid beast who does Jinders dirty work.

They tried this and it failed. Keep them apart. In fact, release all 3 of the 3MB (slater, jinder, and whats his name) Mahal has done as poorly as Tiger Ali Singh in the 90's, who had a few matches after singing a huge contract and then disappeared.

Curt Hawking needs to got and if they aren't going to do anything the Alex Riley needs to move on. I'd let the Miz go, and Swagger, Vickie needs to get off my tv, if you have to keep the Colon's around, at least bring back the one with some talent or have a 3 man team of Carlito, Epico and Primo. Call them Colon Damage.

Santino needs to drop the comedy levels and return to his roots as a more serious in ring worker, people forget he is actually a good wrestler without the comedy and having him be more in line with himself could make him interesting. Same could be said for Khali, but while I've never been a detractor, I do accept that he is limited and frankly, I think it might be time for him to move on. He still looks too clumsly in the ring, though he isn't as bad as some say, his body limits him more then it presents options for him in the ring.

STOP for the love of all that is decent STOP bringing in Mae Young. There are dozens of other former divas/former women you could bring in to tie to the history of WWE. In fact dump most of the divas and bring back women's wrestling. For a few years it looked like it was going in the right dirrection but since about 2007 it's been all downhill. Perhaps if Kharma had panned out for them it would be different. Imagine a women's division with Beth, Natalya, Kharma, Tamina, AJ, Kaitlynn, with support from Layla, Eve, and some of the NXT upcomers. That's a true women's WRESTLING division instead of the pathetic PG era T'n'A they have pushed down our throats for years.

Big Show, Mark Henry, Tensai, Bourne, Paul Heyman, all need to go. Bourne and Henry injury prone with Bourne's suspensions, Tensai was ridiculous to bring back and with him goes Suckamoto, Show's time is past and there's nothing left for him. He's done every role there is from comedic turns, to monster heels and invulnerable face turns, it's just time for him to go. And I've never found anything interesting or entertaining about anything Heyman says or does, except perhaps the time Stephaine beat him for bad mouthing her kids.

The main difference to the roster's I'd make isn't a personnel issue but a timing/schedule issue. Stop or Reduce the insane amound of backstage/talk/ineterview segments and start showing actual wrestling again. For years my biggest complaint has been that there isn't enough wrestling on wrestling shows anymore. If I wanted to watch a 3hour event where there was less then 1hour of the actual even and the rest was more soap opera then action, I'd watch football. I don't care about who's doing what with who, I just want to watch two or more people engage in an entertaining and mezmorizing display of athletic ability and control.

I miss the days of the old Canadian Maple Leaf Wrestling a 1 hour program that would have 4-6 matches per show and maybe a total of 5-6min of prematch/post match interviews instead of the current 3-4 matches per 3 hour raw with the rest of the time devoted to the fictional and badly plotted and recycled love lives of the talent.

I want to watch wrestling, not bad teen dramas. If I wanted to watch that, I'd watch reruns of Dawson's Creek or the OC.

Ted Dibiase - Bring back Legacy with Joe Hennig, Brent Dibiase, and Bo Rotunda. First thing that happens is Ted takes out Brent and ends his career. Ted needs to become the spoiled rich kid, who buys his way out of problems. We can have him finance Vickie in return for favors.

OR Flip it:
Have Ted go broke and start working for Kofi Kingston after he does a Heel Turn and acts like he did during his short but amazing feud with Orton. After all wouldn't it be funny to have the son of the Million Dollar man being the servant/ whipping boy for the son of his bodyguard/valer Virgil?
Or bring back/bring in Teddy Hart and pair them together. You can call then T.E.D.S (Two Entertainingly Diabolical Superstars) and have them as heels.
Besides the spoiled rich kid role is filled by Alberto Del Rio.

One good thing about most of these guys is they can find work on the indies easier then others cause of where their comming from. One guy i think might be safe is hunico reason why wwe tends to keep one smaller lowercard wrestler i hope no one loses a job unless they wanna leave

There's just too many new guys waiting for a chance in Developmental, not to mention Indy stars making their way into the developmental system. It's time for these guys who've soaked up paychecks over the years to go. We all need some new faces on WWE TV, and I know exactly who needs to get out of the way.

curt-hawkins_display_image.jpg

Curt Hawkins
Nothing has worked out for Hawkins over the last few years. The latest blow to his career was losing his tag team partner right at the beginning of a regimmick and possible push. Very few people remember his name and face, or that he was once an Edge-head and Tag Team Champion with Zack Ryder. He should try out TNA or the indies for a few years.

JTG_display_image_crop_exact.png

JTG
Man, I miss Cryme Tyme. It wasn't that great of a gimmick, but JTG was a lot more entertaining back then. He's a shell of his former self now, completely minimized in the company to a point where anyone who pays to see a WWE show has to feel embarrassed to cheer for him. While I did enjoy seeing him debut some new ring gear and dress like a wrestler, it didn't seem to help his position on the roster. I think JTG could retire happily at this point, or maybe stop over in TNA for a few title runs.

Ezekiel Jackson
This guy was given a number of chances to break out big, but ultimately nobody cared about this monstrous, muscles on top of muscles beast. While Zeke's physically impressive, his mic work is horribly bad which greatly shortened his Intercontinental Championship reign. I think Big E. Langston has effectively replaced Zeke on the roster already. Time to say goodbye Zeke.

ted-dibiase-jr-million-dollar_display_image.jpg

Ted Dibiase
I enjoyed Ted's run as the son of the Million Dollar Man, but it played itself out and he didn't evolve. His babyface run was strange, as it was seemingly centered around tailgate parties he held with select social networkers, and that sounds fun but it leaves out MOST wrestling fans!! Not a great way to start off the "Dibiase Posse" which honestly I'd be embarrassed to say out loud. Maybe Ted will bring some of his name value to TNA, and he can date Brooke Hogan in a few months worth of bad soap opera drama. That sounds like something Hogan would greenlight.

tyson-kidd-57.jpg

Evan Bourne, Tyson Kidd and Natalya
Bourne and Kidd have done great work in WWE, but are ultimately underutilized and injury prone. Both men are out on injury, but if they were well it might be safe to assume that they'd be off TV. I feel that there is room in TNA or ROH for these talents, and I think they might have better chances of creating a fanbase and a sustainable wrestling career. Natalya deserves to be a TNA Knockout, as she's used terribly in WWE and frankly I think TNA, for all its faults, treats women better.

The question is who does WWE not need aswell who are they willing to give to another federation. You have to believe some guys are kept under contract just so they can't go anwhere

A lot of people say Zack Ryder but I tell you now that it won't happen. Regardless of his less than frequent use on TV, the WWE obviously realizes that he is one of the most followed superstar on Twitter, so releasing him would make absolutely no sense.

I can see them letting go of Ezekiel Jackson. He's a guy who has the build and the look but totally lacks the charisma he needs to succeed. Mason Ryan is a guy with the same problem.

JTG, Yoshi Tatsu, and Alex Riley may be on their way out too. Ted DiBiase will most likely be kept around due to his roots, but I could see him leaving on his own very soon according to reports.
