Adrian Adonis. I have vague memories of watching this guy when I was a kid. He played a 300 pound gay man who hosted a segment called "The Flower Shop." His routine was funny as hell and couldn't even be shown on TV today because of political correctness and the certainty that some people would go into spasms of outrage if they saw it.

But Adonis was intentionally funny as he gave a playful rendition of a wrestler with a gay lifestyle. He was always a heel and always over-the-top with his portrayal.

Look at the picture and tell me he wasn't trying to be funny. If the ridiculous body, eye makeup and flowers on his trunks don't convince you, then I wish I had a picture of when he came to wrestle in a dress.

I didn't go through everything to see if this was said or not, but I always enjoyed Kurt Angle when he was arguing with Austin. The bit with the guitar and the cowboy hats, classic!

LOOL. Sooo many people.

Well, I grew up in the 90's, so I'm gonna start there.

90's - Shawn Michaels, from DX. - "I was up all night!!" <---Haha, I still remember the whole speech from 97.

Attitude Era - The Rock, Y2J, Stone Cold, Edge and Christian - Do I have to explain about The Rock? I loved Y2J's moments with Stephanie and The Rock, and Stone Cold just made me laugh my ass off with whatever he did. When he mad McmcManagins pee his pants? Edge and Christian were just funny no matter what, their five second poses were (most of the time) funny, and their moments backstage were too. I remember when Lillian was talking to them about food poisoning and they thought it was their nuts. :lmao:

2002 down - Hmm, well early John Cena made me laugh, The Rock and Chris, still made me laugh, Edge made me laugh - I remember when Cena was dissing Rey Mysterio about his height, and Edge was telling the whole crowd that they're wrong.

1. The Rock- well his moves etc... charisma, the way he looks, his guitar songs, and him calling others all made me laugh because that is what entertainment in WWE stands for "for me"

2. Ric Flair-WOOOOOOOW. he made laugh loud and copy him alot of times not because its funny, but because he's Great! The intensity he puts in every promo with some sentences "i've been champ for 16 times, try that on for a living" for instance made me crack.

3. Booker T- Never laughed at him, felt boogyman was a cheap version of him (both have those glazing eyes) actually always found him boring and stale and dont ask me y.

4. Bobby Heenan- I feel sorry but I have never seen his mic skills as I watched wrestling from attitude era. I used to watch a bit of wrestling before but never cocentrated on mic (I was a kid, give me a break )

5. Scott Steiner- Yes funny with saying what is gonna do to his opponent... but not that much

6. John Cena- I agree. He made me crack no matter who he faced even when he was against Brock, Undertaker,... and I agree please bring that gimmick back (the eminem of wwe lol)

7. Chris Jericho-
Y2J was gold on the stick
I defenitly agree, hell I picked him. He was epic on the mic. making fun of stephanie, trish also I remember. Nearly everytime i laugh at "assclown" and "Jerichoholics". And this is the main reason I hate PG era. Cause we used to love Chris Jericho and Austin for saying such stuff and now its banned. So there is no chance of someone reaching that level. If it doesn't effect look at Mr. Anderson in TNA. 1 epic promo and hogan was forced to turn him face even though he mocked Jeff Hardy. All he said was calling him "jackass" and his fans included

8. Stone Cold Steve Austin- I loved him the most for what he did to vince. However for me WHat?! wasnt funny except for few times even though I love it when fans use it.

9. Ultimate Warrior- Never funny for me. Looked stupid always.sorry

For me I have a 3 way tie, therefore I will not be voting:

1. The Rock: For the whole "Pie"/"strudel" segments usually cracked me up, any segment he was in with Kevin Kelly and The Coach were pretty good too. But my favorite segment of his was him making fun of the other 5 men in that 6 man Hell In The Cell match at Armageddon 2000.

2. Y2J Chris Jericho: He always knew how to rub me the right way with the stuff he said. For example, when he came back to the WWE and wanted that title shot against Randy Orton, the whole "Me Want Title Match" bit was funny, and then when Santino comes down, the whole thing with calling Santino the wrong name, and knowing everyone else reminded me of The Rock.

3. Doink the Clown: I always found him to be funny, even as a heel. Come on now, how can he not be funny, being a clown who wrestles. Who cares if he was a jobber, I thought he was entertaining in every sense in the word.

The funniest is the Rock, but theres a lot of other guys out there who make me laugh my ass off.

Chris Jericho - Both current Jericho, and Y2J version were awesome. The thing I love about Jericho is that he has the best facial expressions and body language out of any wrestler I've seen.

Austin - Oh man, I couldn't stop laughing when he became CEO of WWE... or his epic Royal Rumble promo.

Kurt Angle - This guy is freaking amazing. He was like your dorky little brother that you loved to pick on and push all his buttons to see him get mad.

Shawn Michaels - Something about him always made me smile.

Santino - Between his goofy body language and absurd mispronunciations, you'd have to have no humor to not find this guy amusing.

No love for Jay Lethal? He's not the funniest of all time, but his Nature Boy and Macho Man impersonations were both damn funny, certainly funnier than anything produced by some of your original choices.

For me, I have to reach out a bit further and say the West Hollywood Blondes. I cannot even think of them without a laughing a bit. Honerable mentoion to Norman Smiley. I know I marked out for "The Big Wiggle" and of course the "Screamin" hardcore gimmick he had!

Well obviously the Rock was hilarious. However I am noticing a slight oversight on your list.

Where is Santino? Everytime he has a mic in his hands, whether he is a face or a heel, he says something hilarious. Whether its calling wrestlers by wrong names (Jericho as KYJ and my favorite, The Honky Donky Man) or just making funny observations, he is the funniest since the Rock.

As the list goes, I have to go with Bobby Heenan. He was a classic commentator and he can never be forgotten. Wrestlemania 8, Shawn Michaels vs Tito Santana, where Bobby would keep insulting Tito, going so far as to call his finisher " The Extra Hot Pace Picante." Hilarious, and I will love his commentary forever.

However, a person who is not on this list that I would recommend would be JBL during his commentary run on Smackdown. Genius on the mic in ring, even on the sidelines, JBL always had a way of making me laugh, especially by making fun of Michael Cole in anyway possible. He always found a way of making his promos or commentary comedy gold, so JBL would be my definite choice

I AM REALLY SUPRISED NO ONE ELSE HAS METIONED GOLDUST.SURE THE ROCK WAS FUNNY. HIS PROMOS COULD BE HILLARIOUS. BUT GOLDUST DRESSING UP AS THE ROCK AND PLAYING WITH HIMSELF. OR HIM INTRODUCING MINIDUST WHO STARTED HUMPING BOOKER T'S LEG. I LAUGHING JUST THINKING ABOUT IT AND TYPING THIS.

Sorry but i said other, I know he was in WCW and all but i think one of the funny wrestlers in history would have to be "Screaming" Norman Smiley. It was funny how he would where the football suit do the wiggle and start screaming like a girl everytime he started getting his ass kicked.

A lot of the guys mentioned where funny on the stick, but the funniest wrestler ever (to look at too) was Bastion Booger...I remember a battle royal where someone asked Bobby Heenan who would win...he said someone else, so the co host said "I thought you picked Booger" and Booby Heenan said "I do, but not for the match!!!".

Funniest announcer: Bobby Heenan hands down

It's a no-brainer to me.Simply The Rock.Just count how many memorable moments he has left in our memories. From his birthday , Coach confrontations , pie related jokes , people stroodle to hamburglar.I can say he has made me laugh more than rest of WWE stars in history combined.

I guess it is time for me to show my age/ignorance/"I don't give a damn"..

Kevin Nash is the funniest pro wrestler I have ever watched. When he tells a joke, it is witty and intelligent without it being too forced. Either you get it or you don't. He doesn't take the time to explain it nor should he if he is genuinely funny.

"They dug up the dirt on that [Sarah] Palin broad in 3 hours. It wouldn't take but 20 minutes to find out about all the shit I've done." - Kevin Nash on if he would run for political office

And it is early in her career, but Lacey Von Erich cracks me up.

I voted Jericho

Jericho and the boob job comparison with steph comparing boob sizes with a picture of her in the same shirt...
I kinda pee'd a little when he did that....

And when he came back a couple years ago and he was in the ring with Ortan telling him what he wanted and the pictures on the titan tron Me... a pic of him self....
Want...a picture of cookie monster....Title...duh a pic of the title and Match....a pic of a lit match lol

let me make this simple that you can even understand...ME WANT TITLE MATCH
ME WANT TITLE MATCH

I laughed so hard it's moments like that, that I watch this stuff lol

I gave my vote to The Great One, The Rock. He was a hilarious guy, he dropped some funny promos and his promos with Booker T were gold. "Who in the blue hell are you?" His guitar playing days were awesome too. Scott Steiner is a close second though, he is so funny... unintentionally though. He is out of his mind, just ask Petey Williams.

Please don't think I'm crazy for saying this, but John Cena USED to be funny. Yes, at one time this man, on occassion, would say something that would make me laugh like crazy. Yeah, those were the days, now he just bored the crap out of me.

Chris Jericho can be pretty dang funny. From his cracks on Stephanie McMahon to his random jokes that he comes up with.

The Rock at times has made me laugh with the stupid things he does. I got a kick out of his parodys of other wrestlers.

Steve Austin was funny in his own rebel way. When that guy stuck his middle finger up at someone it made me laugh just because he is like "Shut the F**k up, I don't give a s**t!"

There are other wrestlers that have made me laugh but I can't think of any at the moment.

By the way, I have NEVER though that The Ultimate Warrior or Ric Flair was funny. Sorry. Flair makes me smile over the silly things he said but nothing to make me laugh out loud.

I always thought the funniest were Edge, Rock, Stone Cold, and Kurt Angle were the funniest. Edge is just HILARIOUS on the mic. Rock and Stone Cold are self explanatory. and Kurt Angle was just too funny. Coming out to the ring with "you suck" and acting like no ones saying anything. He cut some good promos too.

I have a couple who I thought should have been mention.

My personal favorite for the funniest had to be Golddust. I mean his antics were amazing and he could actually wrestle fairly well. I don't know what other people think, but I thought he could also cut a good promo. (Note: I am talking WWE/WWF Golddust not TNA Golddust.)

Another person worth mentioning is Santino. I mean, at the beginning of his comedy sketches he was pretty funny. However, it did grow old and stale during the string of Guest Hosts the WWE had when they would have Santino joke with every one of them.

I know this one would never get mention, but as a kid growing up, I found Scotty 2 Hotty hilarious. I was like 8 when he was at the hit of his wrestling career, and every time his music would play I could not help but smile, hell I still have his entrance theme on my Ipod and listen to it whenever I'm down. Maybe it was because of his finisher, but I always found him very funny.

The Rock may be one of the funniest wrestlers, but I have to give mention to the funniest personality in the wrestling business Bobby Heenan. Way before the attitude and PG era, when WWE had colorful characters and great managers. Heenan was a great heel manager, announcer, and a great character. Here are a few of his greatest hits.

I also have to give honorable mention to Scott Steiner since the man cuts hilarious promos without even trying to be funny.

In the early 2000's, I couldn't wait for the 5 second pose from Edge and Christian.

However my vote of other goes to Santino. Whether it calling Cena John Chaina or properly trashing the box office smash The Departed or the best gimmick ever with the honkometer where Santino would come out and say "You see, da Honky Tonky Man, he held the Intercontinental title for a 53 weeks. I, Santino Marella have held it for a 7 weeks. That means that in just 46 weeks, I'll be the greatest Intercontinental Champion of a all time!"

I am so mad that gimmick ended after only a dozen or so weeks. That was pure gold.

Out of the ones on your list, though, The Rock could always make me laugh with a shut your mouth, it doesn't matter, or shine it sideways.

I had to vote for Bobby "the Brain" Heenan as I think he's given me more laughs than anyone else in wrestling. Monsoon was the perfect straight man for Bobby, those two had me laughing out loud more times than I could count. Its a shame we don't have any anouncers like him these days. He just added so much to the show.

Even though I voted for "the Brain", Flair has given me a lot of moments too. Being a huge Slick Ric mark, I'm still of the opinion no one can out promo Flair, even today. One of my favorite Flair lines was. "I like my women with their sweaters full, and their heads empty."

I have to give "honorable mention" to Jay Lethal for his Flair immitation, I wish they would have let that go on longer, it was hilarious.

You know, I'm going to go with other. Because, every Thrusday night, and Friday night, I can't stop laughing at how silly/dumb Striker and Grisham are. Especially since last friday night, when Swagger comes out and talks about "Chronic diarrhea" and Striker says "You have the same problem too Todd!" that's an honorable mention for me. Anywho, my favorite is Edge and Christian. I LOVED them back in the good Old E&C days. I loved the interview with Lillian about what made them sick "My nuts made Christian sick" Edge says. Then they go on to say "Our nuts are approved for consumption." another gem of a moment for the bday party with teletubby hats with Stephanie McMahon, and Kurt Angle, and the "Kazoos and Streamers rule!!" Then they start playing HHH's theme, and Angle's theme on the kazoos. :lmao: Pure hilarity!!! Even Edge's quip against Billy Gunn after KOTR that one year "You're like a vacuum cleaner, you both manage to suck and blow at the same time!" I mean, there are so many E&C references I have stored in my memory, and even my 6 year old nefew loves their moment when they encountered Joe C (from Kid Rock's entourage) and the guy cost them their tag belts. Then they get revenge and put him in a trash can. He loves that clip, and always wants to see it again. My vote is E&C all the way, with all their 5 second poses, faves being Fat Elvis and Fatter Elvis. :p

Bill lesnar votes Christian becuase of his commanding voice and clear way of telling jokes and hurling insults. Bill Lesnar thought Chistian was in his prime when calling out cena and saying he made 'ali g style rap' this not only gave him massive heat but was also very funny, as no one had stood up to cena like that before
