For those who care (Which is EVERYONE)- The WZ Movie Tournament Seedings YAY!!

To me, those movies are just mindless garbage. I'm a kid at heart and always will be. Sideways I didn't think should be in because I didn't think enough people knew it.

I don't think many people will have heard of Sideways either. I have at least heard of most of the movies that are in.

Blair Witch is NOT scary, its fucking ridiculously stupid. I watched as a child, and still felt that way.

and 300. good lord that movie was obscene crap. but yea, all you said was right.

I'd like to point out that I don't neccesarily like all the movies that are in the tournament (300). But I wanted to create the most diverse playing field as possible.

And Brian, we had a LOT of sports movies to look at, especially baseball. I actually never realized how many baseball movies there were in the 80's alone. KB, actually mentioned Field of dreams, which is what made me think of Bull Durham. And to me, Bull Durham is one of THE essential sports movies. Basically, Bull Durham is in there representing not only itself, but Field of Dreams, The Natural, Eight Men Out, the works.

Remember the Titans FTW

Thank KB for that one. I didn't think of that one at first. Then KB pointed out that it pretty much re-invigorated the sports movie genre. Which led to an awkward conversation where KB professed his love for golf movies, and I e-slapped him.

I don't get it. But it's an American sport so I wouldn't. But it's hardly a sports film in the same league as Bull Durham, Slapshot or Casddyshack.

What in the name of Agnes Moorehead are you talking about?

I agree. Nevertheless, there weren't a whole lot of good 90's sports movies IMO. At least not a whole lot that deserved to be in the tourney. And Titans is the one that gets brought up alot. It has a following, and like I said, it re-invigorated the sports movie genre (right along with Air Bud lol).

And I still can't believe KB barely even ranked The Lion King. He had it like 28th. Only reason it cracked the top 15 is because I had it in my top 10.

I'm so glad Super mario bros. isn't in there. worst. movie. ever.

Video games = SHITE films

Idk. I recently had a conversation with a friend about golf movies. We got into it because I didn't like Tin Cup. I thought it was you. Must have been my buddy Teddy.

Are you sure we didn't talk at length about golf movies? Or at least Kevin Costner sports movies?

I'll get behind the Disney. A lot were great in the 90's, equally as good as the early ones. But nobody else will.

The good thing about the cartoons is that they don't date as badly as some. A lot of the 90's & 2000 films are good now, but they'll look like shit in a couple of years.
