Wrestlemania 23.. Undertaker pinned Batista to win the World Heavyweight Championship. One of his finest matches. Record (15-0)

Wrestlemania XXVI (26) This match was labelled "The streak vs. The career) Taker would pin Michaels in another great match. Hyped as HBK in white against Taker dressed in black. Shawn walks out. Record. (18-0)

Wrestlemania XXVII (27).. Taker vs Triple H part 2.. Incredible no holds bars match billed as another possible match of the year. HHH pulled off numerous chair shots, 2 pedigrees, takers own tombstone on him and drug out the sledge hammer. Taker locked on Hells Gate for the submission. Taker was still carted off to the back. Wrestlemania XXVIII (28) one of the best Wrestlemania matches from anybody. Triple H part 3. In a Hell in the Cell, with HBK as guest referee. Put on an excellent match. Chairs blood and all. So, what's your favorite?? I'm going with 26 against Shawn michaels!!!

I went with Streak VS Career (WM26) because it was just as good as the match the year before at WM25. Both were as good as each other. I am going with the Streak V Career as it added that extra drama and the ending where HBK slapped Taker and dared him to end it was one of the greatest endings to a match ever.

I voted for WrestleMania 29 against CM Punk. I openly admit I'm biased because I was there live, but I still think it was an incredible match. The crowd was electric and split right down the middle, and there were many memorable moments in the match. In retrospect it was even more special because it was the last victory in The Streak.

I voted for WM29 v. Punk. i loved the intense build to this feud, which carried the emotion of Paul Bearer's recent death and the personal nature of every piece of back-and-forth. This is easily my favorite, but by no means the match I consider 'Taker's best at WM.

I think both matches against HBK were phenomenal and belong at the top of a "best of Taker at WM" list. I think HHH's 2nd match was very good, but the 3rd was just goofy. I never liked the fact that HHH tried to put on two classics right after HBK & Taker had just done so. But I digress.

The match with CM Punk is my favorite.

I chose 26. I remember knowing Taker was going to kick out of Chin Music because that's just what he does. But when Michaels kicked out of that first Tombstone, I was in disbelief. And it was awesome from then on

Taker vs Shawn (WM25) is a top 5 match in history. I really can't see this match losing the poll. Streak vs career was very good, triple H 2 was very good, and Jake Roberts at 8 was also very good but Taker/Shawn 25 was Takers best mania match.

I gotta go Taker v HBK II. I was obviously a classic, but II was just a little bit better. It actually meant something, as opposed to being a throwaway match that WAY overdelivered. You knew that HBK was probably going to lose, but it didn't matter, because you knew it was going to be each man's absolute best effort, and it was.

Taker vs. HBK at Wrestlemania 25. Not only the greatest match in Wrestlemania history, but in my humble opinion, the greatest match in WWE history. The storytelling was flawless leading up to the match, and the storytelling in the match itself was pulled off brilliantly. If WWE could pull off something like that today with two other superstars, I'd be all eyes and ears.

Mania 25 was arguably the greatest match of all time, and personally in my top 3 favorites, so that said, I really can't go with anything else. That match almost single-handedly brought me back into the wrestling fold at a time when I was losing interest rapidly... it made me remember what it was like to be a fan again and I haven't looked back since.

Wrestlemania VIII (8)... Beat Jake "The Snake" Roberts in one of the best wins in Takers streak. Withstood the DDT and went on to tombstone Roberts for he win..went on to great feud. (2-0)

Wrestlemania XII (12).. Pinned Deisel in one of the most memorable Taker mania moments. Grudge match to get a chance at the title. Traded big moves but Taker had an extra Tombstone for the pin. Record-(5-0)

Wrestlemania XIV (14)..Undertaker defeats Kane by pinball

Jake left the company right after that match so there was no feud.

Undertaker only used one tombstone on Diesel.

After Undertaker beat Kane did they play pinball backstage ? ;)

The Hell in a Cell match with Triple H was a classic, and I was there live for the Mania 29 match with Punk. But I have to go with the first HBK match. That may be the greatest match of all time. I just remember all the drama and emotion of the match. I honestly didn't expect it to be as amazing as it was, which is really stupid in hindsight. How could I not see that HBK vs. The Undertaker would be a 5 star classic? I remember my jaw dropping during that match. It really is unequaled in my mind.

I've never understood the love for the Hell in a Cell match against Triple H. I thought their first WrestleMania encounter was pretty good, and the second was a masterpiece. But the third, I really didn't enjoy. I thought they tried way too hard and it looked forced instead of natural. And for once, the presence of Shawn Michaels detracted from the match instead of adding to it, because he tried to make the match all about him (you can even hear Undertaker scolding him at a few points in the match). I think it was the worst Streak match since WM22.

Undertaker VS Shawn Michaels at Wrestlemania 25, hands down. It is the single greatest match I have ever seen and everything about it was perfect. The quality of the match itself, the promos, the entrances, the heaven VS hell theme, the near-falls, and I was there live in person to see the match that night. This match set the standard for every match that has followed it and it will continue to for many more years to come. By the time Wrestlemania 50 is on the horizon, fans will still be looking back fondly on this match when they speak of legendary matches. I guarantee it.

Honorable mentions go to a number of others. I also loved the second Taker VS Michaels match at Wrestlemania 26. It was nearly as good as the first one in just about every category. The match at Wrestlemania 28 against Trips was also very good. Of all three Triple H matches that was my favorite. Their match the year before, while not Taker's best match, saved Wrestlemania 27 from being the worst Wrestlemania ever (27 is still in the bottom 3 worst Wrestlemania events though). CM Punk VS Taker at Wrestlemania 29 is another great recent one, easily the best of that night. Then if you want to talk oldschool Undertaker Wrestlemania matches then I must include Kane VS Undertaker at Wrestlemania 14 this was by far the best of the older streak matches.

Jake left the company right after that match so there was no feud.

Undertaker only used one tombstone on Diesel.

After Undertaker beat Kane did they play pinball backstage ? ;)

Sorry for the misunderstanding I meant what I said and didn't miss-word it...with Jake Roberts it "went on" from a great feud.

I clearly know taker only to bestowed him once. The previous sentence said they traded big moves. Luckily taker had an extra move, that move was his tombstone. Thank ya.

And absolutly, taker beat Kane in a riveting game of pinball backstage, you shoulda seen it...their agile for their size, lol

Your welcome.

HBK vs Taker Wrestlemania 25. Yes i'm biased cause i was there live. But Man, the energy of of the crowd during this match was un like anything i've ever experienced live or seen on tv. Felt bad for the matches that had to follow this one, as the crowd was just spent after taker/hbk. Instant classic and top 3 matches of all time, if not the best ever.

Vs. Orton at Wrestlemania 21: This match took Orton to the next level as a rising star and Orton's performance was so convincing, I thought he had Taker beat with that awesome Chokeslam into the RKO counter.

Vs. Triple H at Wrestlemania 28: Great storytelling, psychology, and so much emotion in that match.

Ive been watching wrestling since i was 5, im 35 now. I watched every single ppv from wwe.....ive watched amazing matches, emotional matches, great technical matches, brutal matches...

Taker vs HBK on WM25 (and 26 because to me, its an extension of the first one) Its hands down, the most amazing match(es) that i have ever seen.

Thats the definition of pro wrestling, right there. You can show those matches to someone who doesnt follow wrestling as a fan, and will hook up right away.

Everything from the build of the first match, all the way to the next year and hbk retirement speech, is everything that this business is all about. Two of the greatest performers of all time, going at it, not holding back anything, giving 101%. In ring skills, pshycology, storytelling....its perfect from start to finish.

For overall favorite, it's Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 25. It's pro wrestling and storytelling personified. You have 2 icons, 2 of the greatest performers in WrestleMania history clashing in their home state. It doesn't get more epic than that. You also add their long history together and JR on commentary....classic.

I would say the Ric Flair match has to be the most intense out of all of the Undertaker WM matches. Very underrated but one hell of a war.

For buildup, I would say Undertaker vs. Kane at WrestleMania 14. Their storyline and buildup leading up to the match was memorable and legendary.

It's not even close. Taker/HBK at WM25.

However the list created by the OP is downright pathetic. You put in some of the worst Taker matches in history... yet left out Taker/Batista at WM23 and Taker/Edge at WM24. Granted neither of them hold a candle to Taker/HBK at WM25, but why would you even include the matches with Wyatt, Jake the Snake, and Big Show-ATrain?

Taker/HBK at WM25 was a masterpiece. It shows how great Taker is at his advanced age.. but it also showcases HBK as who I believe is the greatest in-ring performer of all time with Kurt Angle a very close 2nd. Even though you were pretty sure Taker was going to win the entire time, you still actually got nervous. It's honestly the last edge of my seat match I can remember.

Only choices for me are all matches with Triple H and HBK and the match against Batista who was the first to appear to have his number, the match with Randy Orton was pretty good but there wasn't really a thought he'd lose

not until Batista came along that match was kick ass

but HBK and Taker took it to a whole new level 2 matches in a row.
Top 5 greatest matches of all time including all the storyline leading upto them.
