Fantasy Road to Wrestlemania

The Todd

Championship Contender
Not sure if this will be kept here but here goes anyway. I'll do it one show at a time until Mania, or until it gets taken off.

Stone Cold Steve Austin makes his return to RAW the night after No Way Out, and cuts a promo about his upcoming entrance into the Hall of Fame. He reviews his whole career, saying he has no regrets and he couldn't have done it without the fans.

He then says his wrestling career may be over but he will always be remembered as the toughest S.O.B. ever to set foot in the WWE and he will go down as the greatest legend of all time and that's the bottom line cos....

(Priceless music hits)

Ted and Cody come out to mass boos for interrupting the second greatest catchphrase of all time. They cut a promo about Austin's time for farewell speeches is the Hall of Fame ceremony. He should do the honourable thing and get out the building as he is taking valuable air time away from the superstars that are the future of the business, and come Wrestlemania nobody will be talking about the washed-up Stone Cold Steve Austin, they will be in awe of Legacy when all members walk out of Houston, Texas with gold. They will be the Tag Team Champions whils their leader, Randy Orton, will defeat John Cena to become a four time World Champion.

Stone Cold goes on to say that he has never been so bored listening to someone talk in his life but he does have some advice to the two of them. "Get some balls". He states they got into the business on the back of their Fathers' success and now they are riding the coat tails of Randy Orton, are they that incapable of fending for themselves. Stone Cold got to the top of the business by himself. he then tells them to never again interrupt Stone Cold Steve Austin cps even when he's 80 years old, sat at home with a pipe and slippers, he'd still be able to whip both their asses, now either you two come here so I can give you an ass whooping or get the hell out of my arena cos everyone here wants to see Stone Cold drink some beer.

Austin's music hits and he does his customary drinking beer whilst staring at Ted and Cody, who smirk and walk off to the back leaving Austin in the ring.

Don't worry, it will get better. The best feuds gradually build momentum. I'll do the next week's in a few hours.

Week two

It is announced that at Wrestlamania, John Morrison and The Miz will defend the tag team titles against the winners of a mini tournament of which the semi finals take place tonight, with the final next week. The first semi final is Rey and Evan Bourne vs Cryme Tyme, which Cryme Tyme pick up the unexpected win.

The second match is Manu and Snuka vs Ted and Cody. A back and forth match ensues but Legacy pick up the victory with Cody's rolling cutter finisher. After the match Orton orders Legacy to punt Manu and Snuka in the head, but they do not do it properly, so he shows them how to do it.

After the punting Orton gets on the mic and says Legacy will hold the World Title and the Tag Team Title after Mania and that is just the beginning. Cody and Ted then state that if "has-been" Austin decides to return to RAW again, to try and relive his "glory days" they will be waiting for him. And next time, they won't need Orton to show them how to punt.

Music hits and they walk off to large boos.

(Obviously at the moment, these promos are stuck in the middle of the show, but from next week they will start closing RAW, as the feud will start to heat up)

Cody and Ted come out for their no#1 contender match for Tag Team Title's against Cryme Tyme. In Word Up on wwe.com, Cryme Tyme mocked Cody and Ted for their pathetic attempts at the punt last week. In retribution, Cody and Ted said in a backstage interview earlier in the broadcast that they have perfected the punt and JTG and Shad will be on the receiving end of them tonight.

The match up is solid, Shad receiving the hot tag shifts momentum before numerous false finishes.

Austin's music then hits and Austin appears which distracts Ted and Cody. Shad grabs Ted from behind and hits his finisher and gets the victory.

Cryme Tyme leave the ring to celebrate as Cody tends to Ted, but keeping one eye on Austin. As Austin enters the ring, Cody aims for a running clothesline but Austin ducks it and hits the Stunner. He turns round to Ted who is gingerly getting to his feet, gives him the finger and then the Stunner. Austin celebrates in the ring as Orton is shown backstage watching a monitor and shaking his head.

Austin is being introduced to Dolph Ziggler backstage when Cody and Ted attack Austin from behind. Austin attempts to fight back but is overpowered. Dolph thinks about rescuing but catches sight of Orton approaching and thinks better of it.

Austin is slammed into the wall and hit with a barrage of punches. Orton is heard in the background saying “That's good Cody”, "Hit him again Ted" etc.

Austin is kneeling down and Ted goes for the punt when John Cena runs into make the save. He clotheslines Ted, and knocks Cody over but is caught qith an RKO as he turns around.

Orton stands above the fallen bodies and thinks about the punt put a fast approaching Stephanie McMahon shouting at him to leave makes him drop the idea. He picks up Ted and Cody and leads them away as the camera pans to a lifeless Cena and Austin being seen to by Stephanie.

Four weeks ago Austin made a non wrestling return to the WWE, but last week we was viciously assaulted backstage. Needless to say, he is pissed.

Austin is in the ring with Steph and demands a match against Cody and Ted at WrestleMania for his last ever match. Steph says she understands he wants to get his hands on them but she is trying to make the best ever WrestleMania line up which means all the matches need to be competitive, and an ex, almost paralysed wrestler taking on two of the brightest superstars is not appealing enough for WrestleMania.

Mass boos and Austin just stares at Stephanie.

Instead, Stephanie informs Austin that a tag team match will be made. Willing applicants for Austin's tag Team partner should let Stephanie know during the night and Austin can then choose one to end the show. Steph leaves the ring leaving Austin alone. Austin shakes his head.

Mid way through the show Jim Duggan is in the ring cutting a promo about retiring after WrestleMania. Cody and Ted interrupt saying no one cares about Duggan, and he won't even make it to WrestleMania.

With that Cody and Ted walk towards the ring. Duggan readies himself for a fight, but is overpowered by the two of them. Ted knocks Duggan to the floor and Cody runs in and punt kicks Duggan. Cody then raises Duggan to his knees and holds him there for Ted to punt him as well.
Cole states “Looks like those lessons from Orton have paid off, they were vile punts to the skull”

Ted and Cody bail as the locker room empties, rushing to Duggan's aid. Backstage Orton tells them he is impressed.

At the end of the show, Austin is in the ring again with Stephanie. Steph says she has had five requests and will present them now to Austin.

“IF YOU SMELL....” hits and out comes.... The Haas. Haas approaches the ring dressed as The Rock. “Finally, The Haas, has come back, to Miami”. Austin pauses, then hits the stunner as the crowd cheers.

Hardcore Holly's music hits, making a return to the WWE. He tells Austin he has unfinished business with Cody and Ted and would love to help Austin. Austin pauses, and hits the stunner again! He is starting to look angry now as he waits for the next applicant.

Santino Marella's music hits. The second he steps into the ring he is met with a Stunner by a seething Rattlesnake.

Jericho comes down to the ring. He tells Austin that seeing as this is his last match before official retirement, what better way to tag with the man who will eventually take his Austin's place as the greatest wrestler in the history of the business. He then goes on to say he is the 2008 Wrestler of the Year, multiple time World Champion and the first Undisputed Champion when he beat The Rock and Stone Cold in the same night. He then asks “So what do you say Austin”, Austin mulls the decision over before giving the finger and the Stunner Jericho.

Really angry now Austin asks Stephanie what the hell is she up to. He says he wants to get his hands on Legacy but not with any of these jackasses. Steph says it's not her fault not many people wanted the job out of fear, but there was one more who approached her.

Pause.

“IF YOU SMELL, what The Rock, is cooking” this time the Rock ACTUALLY returns and the place is absolutely rocking. The Rock hits the ring and soaks in the “Rocky” chants. “Finally, The Rock has come back....home”

He tells Stone Cold that he was home visiting his family when he turned on Monday Night Raw and saw Steve's little problem. He knows him and Austin have a lot of history, they are the two biggest names in Wrestling history, bigger than HBK, bigger than Bret Hart, bigger than Hulk Hogan. They headlined Mania 15, Mania 17 and their Mania 19 match stole the show. They had one of the greatest feuds in Wrestling history. What better way for them both to officially bow out of Wrestling by headlining one more Wrestlemania, only this time, on the same side. The crowd go absolutely mental. “What do you say Steve?” Austin takes his time, but eventually smiles and shakes The Rock's hand. Raw goes off the air with everyone thrilled.

Rock comes out and says The Rock has been watching Cody and Ted lately and The Rock is quite frankly sick of them. Cody disrespects his father and thinks he is better than the rest of the locker room for being 2nd Gen. Well, The Rock is 3rd Gen but unlike Cody and Ted, The Rock is not a jackass.

The Rock respects The Rock's family, The Rock respects the other Wrestlers and The Rock respects those Wrestlers who made the industry what it is. The Rock does not respect good for nothing little punks like Rhodes and Dibiase, and come Wrestlemania The Rock will take his foot, turn it sideways and shove it straight up their candy asses.

Stone Colds music then hits and again bashes Ted and Cody for needing someone to hold their hand whilst they were in the ring. He says Stone Cold never needed help off nobody and The Rock may have joined the Nation of Domination but he usurped the leader and made the faction his own.

He didn't sit in the corner and do what he was told. Neither The Rock nor Stone Cold take orders. Neither the Rock or Stone Cold would ever enter the Royal Rumble to help someone else win it. Neither The Rock or Stone Cold would take an ass kicking from someone and then return two months later and save the same man's skin.

Cody and Ted come out to the ring, obviously riled. Rock asks where their puppet master is. Ted and Cody say Randy is preparing for his WrestleMania match up with Cena, he doesn't have the time to be distracted by a cripple and a sell out.

The Rock snaps and starts laying the smackdown on Ted whilst Austin floors Cody and starts stomping a mudhole on him. Out of nowhere, Orton storms the ring and hits the RKO on The Rock. He then floors Austin and the three Legacy members start pounding away on him.

Cena rushes to the ring and takes down Orton but Ted and Cody drag him off. Cena elbows Cody in the face and floors Ted with the right hand, spears Orton and starts pounding away at his head.

Ted and Cody again drag him off, but Austin and The Rock have found their feet and start throwing punches. Orton bails whilst Rock and Austin toss Ted and Cody out of the ring. Rock, Austin and Cena stand poised for a fight in the ring whilst Legacy retreat to the back to end RAW.

Six man tag match is scheduled for the "go home" RAW. Cena Rock and Austin take on Legacy.

An entertaining tag match follows, with plenty of tags, broken up pin falls and big moves.

Cena has Cody down ready for the five knuckle shuffle. He taunts “You can't see me” to Orton, who flips and levels Cena from behind. Rock, Austin, Cody and Ted storm in and a brawl ensues. Orton and Cena spill out of the ring and into the crowd.

In the ring, Rock spinebusters Ted and goes for the people's elbow. A low blow by Cody on Austin behind the ref's back takes care of Austin, and he then stops the Rock's people's elbow attempt with a clothesline.

Ted hit's his finisher on The Rock but Austin breaks up the pinfall, tosses Cody over the top rope and Stunners Ted. He makes the cover. 1...2...3

Whilst celebrating Austin is attacked from behind by Cody who hits his finisher. The Rock is then pounded by Ted and Cody and whipped into the rope. The Rock counters with a double clothesline. He sets himself for the Rock Bottom on whichever stands up first but Orton returns to the ring and nails the RKO.

A picture is shown of a bloody Cena holding onto the fan barrier.

As Austin gingerly gets to his feet he is also hit with the RKO. The Rock is stirring and Orton grabs Ted and orders him to punt kick The Rock. Ted does this and nails it perfectly.

Cena reaches the ring as The Legacy bail to the top of the ramp. Orton Ted and Cody celebrate whilst a groggy Austin and a bloody Cena stare from the canvas up the ramp. Medics are tending to The Rock who is lying motionless.

RAW goes off the air for the last time before WrestleMania.

Any feedback to the build up would be appreciated.

It's not bad, and I like the story line. Seems interesting. I think you should put more detail into promos and matches. You don't really get the full effect unless you elaborate and give more information. Other than the briefness, I like the story and I look forward to what you're going to do with this.

Reports during the week say The Rock has suffered a concussion and has not received medical clearance to wrestle. However, it is not known whether The Rock will or will not turn up.

Backstage at WrestleMania Cena approaches Austin. He tells him that if The Rock doesn't show tonight he will step in and compete in the Tag Match with Austin, even if it means he will not be in 100% shape for his title match. Besides, if Ted and Cody don't receive a beating tonight, they will likely cost him his title match with Orton.

He, like every other Wrestling fan, has respect for the The Rock and Stone Cold, and he is not going to sit by and see what happened to The Rock happen to Austin. That is not the way for the greatest career in Pro Wrestling to end.

Austin appreciates Cena's offer, but he says he knows The Rock. He knows The Rock will be here tonight. At Backlash 2000 Austin stayed true to his word to The Rock, and although he was a little late, he ultimately got there and got the job done. The Rock is too proud a man to stay away. Tonight he will be in that ring going toe-to-toe with Legacy and The Rock WILL be by his side.

Austin wishes Cena good luck for his title match, and says he guaran-damn-tess Ted and Cody will not be in any physical shape to interfere in the title match so he can keep both eyes on Orton. Cena and Austin shake hands and Austin walks off, leaving Cena looking apprehensive.

Ted and Cody come to the ring with mass heat. They suck it all in and enter the ring. Ted grabs a mic and says he has been told that The Rock has not been seen anywhere backstage tonight. He says Austin can still walk away before he gets the same treatment. It is better to loose pride whilst keeping his health rather than being permanently disabled through the ass kicking he WILL receive.

Austin's music hits to one of the loudest pops in WrestleMania history. He rushes to the ring and starts nailing Ted and Cody with right hands, flooring them with each punch.

Austin takes his jacket off and looks incredibly pumped. He nails Cody with a clothesline, but his attempted Stunner is reversed by Ted.

Ted and Cody gain the upper hand and both beat him down. They stomp on Austin who tries hard to cover up his head and neck.

“IF YOU SMELL..” Rock enters the ring and walks purposefully to the ring, not looking in the best of moods. Ted and Cody forget about Austin and brace themselves for The Rock. Rock enters the ring at the same time Austin regains his feet.

Stone Cold with right hands to Cody whilst The Rock gives Ted the Smackdown, resulting in Ted falling out the ring. Austin irish whips Cody into The Rock who delivers the Samoan drop.

Austin leaves the ring to the apron and Ted slowly climbs up to his and the match settles down into a tag team contest.

The Rock and Stone Cold keep the high tempo and trade a few tags, each controlling the fight at an extremely high intensity. It looks as if the result is not important, they want to inflict pain. No attempted covers are made within the first five minutes.

Cody eventually counters an irish whip, and the Rock is hit in the head by Ted as he rebounds off the rope. The ref gives Ted a stern telling off, but does not call for the bell. The fight is too high profile he doesn't think Mr. McMahon will appreciate an early DQ ending.

Ted and Cody then isolate The Rock and focus their attacks on the Rock's head. They slow the match right down and wind the crowd up.

Quick tags are made, keeping both Ted and Cody relatively fresh. After a ddt from Ted, he makes the cover.

Austin breaks up the pinfall attempt.

The referee orders Austin back into his corner, and whilst doing it, gives the ref the finger. Whilst this is happening Ted and Cody take the chance to double stomp on The Rock's head.

After a further period of Rock being beaten, and numerous close falls, Cody goes in for the kill. However, The Rock manages to reverse Cody's finisher by freeing himself from the grip, spinning round and hitting the people's ddt. He manages to make the tag and Austin comes in fired up. Right hands to both before he hits the Lou Thesz press and the right hands to both members.

He drops the elbow on Ted twice before going for the cover.

but Ted kicks out. Austin poises himself to deliver a Stunner, but Ted reverses it and hits Austin with a clothesline. All four competitors groggily make it to their feet, with Austin and Ted the legal men. The ref orders Cody and The Rock outside to the apron, and misses Ted giving Austin a low blow.

Ted tags in Cody whilst The Rock argues with the ref. Cody goes to pick up Austin but Austin hits a low blow of his own! He reaches his corner and tags in The Rock. The Rock hits the smackdown on Cody, then swings Ted into the ropes and hits the samoan drop.

Cody gets to his feet and rushes at The Rock but he is caught with a spinebuster. The Rock goes for the People's Elbow but, like on RAW, he was foiled. Ted found his feet and hit a clothesline on The Rock.

Austin then runs in and beats down Ted and they spill to the outside. Austin goes for a chair which leads the referee to leave the ring and stop Austin. Meanwhile, in the ring Rock's Rock Bottom attempt is foiled by Cody elbowing out. Ted takes advantage of Austin and the ref arguing to enter the ring with the chair Austin had.

Ted hits The Rock with the chair and runs to the outside to hide the object. The ref hits the ring as Cody makes the cover.

Austin is just too late to break up the pinfall and Legacy pick up a famous victory. However, Austin starts to beat down Cody.

Ted enters the ring with the chair again though, and lays out Austin as well. Cody and Ted smile at each other and each line themselves up for a punt. As they go for the punt, both The Rock and Austin spin out the way.

Austin jumps Cody with the Lou Thesz press and Rock takes out Ted with a spinebuster. Cody and Ted stagger to their feet as Austin and Rock brace themselves ready. Stone Cold Stunner and Rock Bottom are hit on Cody and Ted respectively.

Ted and Cody are lying next to each other, but head to toe. The Rock instructs Austin to stand above Cody's head whilst he stands above Ted's. The Rock removes an elbow pad and chucks it into the crowd whilst Austin watches. They both do the arm theatrics and run to opposite ropes. They cross in the middle and rebound off the other ropes before dropping elbows on the Legayc members.

Austin asks for a few beers and they crack open a can and drink together. They both pose on the ropes in their own style.

That's it folks. I thought of possibly having it end with Austin stunnering The Rock, but seeing as they are both having their last match, it would demean The Rock's career and personal opinion would not like to see The Rock be taken out in this way. Feel free to criticise, preferably constructive but even if it's abuse, feedback is welcomed.

if that was the way the matched ended and they had Austin and the rock lose i would be really mad im tired of them bringing the rock back and when they do they make him lose and same was for foley im shocked he didn't just go to Tna
way before the whole vince screaming at him in his ear piece thing

What use is them winning? Havind Ted and Cody win would elevate them into serious contenders. Although they did lose, they end up on top afterwards.

I just think this way Ted and Cody get pushed but Rock and Austin give the fans that celebratory moment. But you're entitled to your opinion. Thanks for your feedback.
