Oh noes!

Basically it's a rule designed to stop attacking players just hanging around infront of the opposition goal. The rule is basically that the forward can't be ahead of the furthest back defender when the ball is played forward to them.

If, when the ball is passed TO you, the only thing between the goal and you is the keeper, you're offside.

Essentially you have to be behind a defender when the ball is played...

God it's actually quite tricky to explain...

Officiating was awful though, no way was the Greek sending off red card worthy. Doubt either team will go through though.
