Elijah Burke: What's the deal creative?

I have been aggravated by this for a while. I like the superstar initiative thing and ECW really is becoming a proving ground for future stars (i.e., CM Punk, John Morrison, Kofi Kingston, Miz, Evan Bourne).

But why in the hell can you not find ANY way to put Elijah Burke on the program. This guy should be pushed to the moon, and at least deserves tv time. He hasn't been seen in months. As the leader of the New Breed, he had my interest in one of the better storylines since "ECW's" rebirth. The guy has everything that you could possibly want in a star. He's got the look, mic skills, good ring skills that can only improve, hasn't been in trouble, and incredible charisma.

It was reported that he was getting a new look and gimmick, but for what? This guy was great as is, but he was always booked to lose. If nothing else, send him to Raw or Smackdown to feud with the midcard guys there. He should at least get that or be in the ECW title picture. I'd much rather he than Mizark..he had his deserved title, not get him out of the way.

What does everyone think? Does Burke have that "it" factor to be a future star? Why can't creative see that and find something for him?

This Guy Is A Future Star. And Yes Your Right He Does Have The It Factor Wwe Needs Right Now. I Agree He Needs To Go To Smackdown Where He Can Feud With The Midcards. Or How About He Goes To Raw And Joins Kingston And Cryme Time To Make It A Real Good Looking Stable. Burke Would Be A Much Better Mouthpiece Then Punk. Burke Has All The Mic Skills Required For This Stable And Would Bea Great Leader. Burke Vs Orton Though Is Hard To Believe Though. Burke Will Make It Back Though Just Give Him Time.

I don't see what everyone else sees in Burke. He's talented enough to be a solid midcarder, I'll give him that, but so many people say that he's main event worthy already. No clue how they say that. His finisher is weak, he doesn't get much of a reaction (granted, he gets zero reaction if he's not even involved in the program itself lol)...I just don't think he's this amazing spectacle that a lot of people do.

But since WWE is lacking severely in midcard faces, why don't they just repackage him as a face and send him over to Smackdown? They can tag-team him with R-Truth. That helps you have two midcarders that are faces, AND another tag team.

Either do that, or just release the guy already. He and Boogeyman are still on the roster and they haven't been seen in nearly a year. What's the point?

I feel ya bro. The first time I saw Elijah in the ring (and on the mic) I thought "this guy has the IT factor." He's just one of the most well-rounded guys on the roster. So why in the blue hell is he not being used? C'mon, you use guys like Knox and Mark Henry instead of him? Has he got some kind of backstage heat that I'm not aware of?

WWE should really open their eyes and see what a potential gold mine they have in Burke. He's always impressed me, and I thought he'd at least be ECW Champion by now, the first time I saw him. He has an intense, original in-ring style and is among the WWE's finest on the stick right now. This makes no sense to anyone.

I'm one of those people wondering about the same thing. Why in the world is he not getting the push that he needs? He's established a solid presence in the ring. He's entertaining. He has the in-ring abilities that can be well-matched with the likes of Matt Hardy and other upper mid-carders. I want to see some memorable feuds with this guy involved. Yet, he's rotting on the sidelines. Burke doesn't need the ECW title to set the record straight, but if he does win it, he should carry it for several months.

Okay finishing move aside. Elijah Burke has natural ability and charisma. He is good with the mic. I mean seriously instead of filling the ECW roster with people who barely have what it takes, get guys like Elijah back in the ring, give him a finisher and push him for either ECW Champion, United States or IC Champion.

Dude I Have been talking about this with my friends for much.. hey maybe im a little more on liking him because hes from Jacksonville (my home town =]) but he is a great wrestler there pretty much doing Wat they did with old Shelton Benjamin "o here your the leader of the new breed" (o hey shelton almost beat triple H 3 times) but when they gave them both a push they ended it there both talented but aren't getting anything truthfully if you asked me who i would rather see a match of cena or burke i would chose Burke same with Shelton some of these top guys (mostly cena) are just there to be the next hogans but theirs so much other good talent there looking over..

Okay, guy above, total infingmet or copyright bylaw or something, that's pretty much my exact sig u got under your pic, but since it's for Santino I'll let it slide. Elijah Burke... I haven't seen the guy on TV is such a long time I hardly remember him. Great mic skills and somedecent charisma from the guy, but he never got the greatest reaction from the crowd. I don't really know why creative hasn't done ANYTHING with him. I remember, god, years back when Vincent Kennedy McMahon himself declared Burke the future of ECW, turned out to be a bleak future for him, lol. Leader of the new breed, which died out about as quickly as the originals did, had a brief fued with Punk for the ECW title after Morrison got suspended and "brought" Shelton to ECW, that in a nut shell has been his career accomplishments. I think that Burke should've been drafted to one of the other shows, perfereably SD. On ECW, with their 1 hour time slot, they just can't make room for him, ECW has too many heels, 4 of their top 6 (hardy, finlay, henry, miz, morr, chavo) are heels and all require most of that 1 hour and then there's the talent initative that take up the rest. I don't want to see Burke jobbing to the new talent, and i suppose that's y he's been kept off, cause WWE doesn't want him to either. Burke has what it takes to definitly make a decent middle carder, a move to one of the other two shows and a halfass push is all he needs right now.

I really like Burke. He has decent mic/ring skills, some good charisma, has a good look but creative doesn't seem to wanna push him. He plays his "cocky" heel well and can get a reaction from the fans if given the oppurtunity but maybe creative doesn't want to many "cocky black" wrestlers since they already have MVP/Benjamin. Maybe Burke is unable to change to a different gimmick for whatever reason. Another reason why he may not be pushed is maybe he is an ass backstage and if your not Taker, Cena, Batista, HHH, or HBK you probably have to be "nice" backstage if you want your push to countinue.

I agree 100%, I have posted on this board many of times about how talented Elijah Burke is, no he don't have to be pushed as a main event guy yet I don't think anyone is saying to make him World Champion for a year but I think if they would have pushed him like they did Kofi or like they are doing Shelton or Matt Hardy or Mark Henry I think he would have done or would be doing a much better job because of his charisma and mic skills

his gimmick was NEVER the problem so I don't think they need to change anything about him, when ECW was doing the New Breed VS ECW Originals he was at his best then they just went away from him for some reason

hopefully when he does comeback he is not some damn jobber, but he is far too talented to have him off TV for this long

as far as im concernedther doing what they ddi to elijah burke somethnig similar to like what they ddi to mike knox with the pulling hm off tv for onl as long as forever then brinign him back. so i wouldnt worry about elijah burke being on the chopping block or being used as a beat up boy for high carders,mid carders,etc.
