So if you support the biggest team/the team with the most exposure around when you're a child then you're a glory hunter?
If you're not from the area, then yeah.
Barbosa is a few years older than me. He may have caught the arse end of the glory years, but I imagine that during the most formative part of his life he would have been watching Graeme Souness sign people like Paul Stewart and Torben Piecknick and guiding us to finishing below QPR and Norwich in the league. GLORY.
I'd love you to find these spiteful, toxic comments online that I can't find as quickly from Man United, Newcastle or Arsenal fans (they're the only two clubs with a fan base even remotely similar to Liverpool at the moment). A lot of people support Liverpool, some of them are morons, but that's true of all major clubs.
Liverpool fans are generally well regarded and if you ask several players they often say Anfield and Villa Park are their favourite away grounds. Liverpool regularly applaud good play. I can't believe I'm having this conversation with a Spurs fan. When Toure got injured at the weekend, he got a warm applause from the whole stadium. When England international Theo Walcott's season was ended by injury in January, the Spurs fans booed him off.
Some of the smartest guys on the forum (& me) debating this with a Spurs supporter from Australia.
That's ironic right?
And I'm not from Devon but that doesn't stop your pre-judgement, going by your rep comment.
You need to look at your own opinion before calling hypocrisy.
This is a post of mine from ages ago.Yeah you're an idiot. I'm a huge Liverpool fan, bigger than anyone I know. Simply because it was ingrained in my head in childhood. I'm as invested in their fortunes as any Scouser.
You're just wrong.
I should point out my child self started watching in the Souness era. I don't remember watching them win the league and I first went to Anfield in 1992.
Where are you from then?
1Peep, you do realise there will be hundreds of thousands of Spurs fans not from North London. I'm sure there are many who should support Leyton Orient but Spurs are a bigger club, so they don't. These people are helping Tottenham to become a bigger club.
I know. But we're not one of the big clubs. If you're not from North London, you're not really supporting us for the glory are you.
Back to talking football, I reckon City win the league. They should win all there remaining games and Liverpool would need to beat Chelsea - which I can't see happening.
