Domestic football - spam version

Ugh, football.

So I went to North Shields today. They had a player who played as striker for them, he went to Charlton who played him as a keeper then became England keeper during the stage they had unofficial matches. This was in the late 30s/40s.

Who cares who wins the thing? So long as Man Utd continue to have a shit season, Arsenal slip out of the top 4, Cardiff/Sunderland/West Brazil go down and the Mighty Potters finish in the top 10, it'll be the best season ever!

"The decision has been taken to give the club the maximum chance of survival."

Basically Norwich have delusions of grandeur.

Also that's twice he's been sacked after facing West Brom!

Have they learnt nothing for this year!

He's also been replaced by the youth team coach. Sometimes I think I support the only sane club in the country.

Yeah when Stoke, Palace and Southampton are the three most sane clubs you know something's going down.

Also what the fuck is it with people on facebook who have their team name as a middle name? Boils my piss.

Comrade Chris sacked.

I've seen a lot of fucking stupid decisions but this one has got to be near the top. It's not so much that he's been fired, arguably that could have happened months ago, but the timing of it is just ludicrous. You've 5 games to go & you don't have an experienced replacement, madness.

I hope Demichelis plays.

I'm fairly optimistic though. City seem to be a little inconsistent right now. They're missing Aguero, Toure is dragging them through games as well. I think we will score first, just need to defend well.

I'm worried about the Chelsea match more.

Ouch.

I think Newcastle did this last year, fall away at the end of the season? Where do you stand on Pardew Lee? I'm sure the Cabaye thing and lack of investment hasnt helped but he should be able to motivate the squad. They've looked terrible recently.

How are you meant to motivate players when the owner has made it so blatantly clear that he has no ambition beside making money?

You look at the players he has and the form they've dropped with more than 6 months in the team. There's something wrong with Pardew and he needs replacing.

Yes Ashley doesn't help but why did we do so well pre christmas. It's not just Cabaye (he was injured/on strike a bit).

I could understqand if we were putting it all in but we're not. Even when we win we're not giving it all. To use the old cliche about is "Geordies would rather lose 4-3 to Liverpool and see 100% given than a 1-0 win" whilst not completly accurate I don't care if we lose and give everything. Last week we lost 4-0 to Man U reserves at St James' Park. Fucking hell.

I don't get the hate. I think Pardew has done an OK job. You can't blame him for the current results without giving him at least a little credit for the earlier results in the season. Remember the victories over Chelsea and Man United? The recent heavy defeats hurt and relegation form since the new year hurts. The headbutt doesn't help either. But in the grand scheme of things Newcastle are going to end up where they were expected to be at.

The danger with booting Pardew is having nobody decent to replace him with. It really is a coin toss. For every Pulis at Palace you get a Sherwood at Spurs. The danger of sticking with Pardew is the Moyes effect, never realizing the team's potential due to self-constraints.
