Domestic football - spam version

To be fair, people who claim to be in the know about football wank over La Liga, which is even more of a foregone conclusion. Hearts had shorter league title odds than Valencia did this preseason, both were third favourites.

With the exception of Ashley Cole and Petr Cech, nobody was class for Chelsea last season.
Because their past their prime. In ancelotti's first season they won the double. The last hurrah from a great team. Last season they were just too old and finished 9 points behind united. Don't forget the african cup is this year so Drogba, Kalou, Mikel and Essien will be out for 4-6 weeks.

Wait a sec, what? Anelka was the top goalscorer of the Premier League in 09 with 19 goals and 25 in all comps.
Yes i made a mistake here and counted this current season as one of the 3 years but not scoring more then 10 goals a season in the last 2 years still is't good.

I wouldn't mind it if Ferreira was gone.
I honestly can't understand why he is still there. He was good for the first 2-3 years at the club but he's just sitting on the bench picking up his wages now. He's the 3rd choice right back which shows how little game time he's going to get.

Valencia are playing with such enthusiasm, energy and passion, that with the recent slumps of Barça and RM , in particular, you never know. Stealing second place from RM is a possibility.

Great to see Owen Hargreaves back on the field, the guy is still a quality player.

I really do hope his injury problems are behind him, I would love to see him in an England shirt again. Genuinely pleased for the guy after his 3 years of injury hell.

Interesting fact. He did more passes in that 57 minute City debut last night than he managed in thr last 3 years of his Man Utd career!

Scottish League Cup quarter-final draw:
St Mirren v Ayr United
Dundee United v Falkirk
Hibernian v Celtic
Kilmarnock v East Fife

All matches have potential for an upset although I do expect Celtic to go to Easter Road and win comfortably but with the lack of consistency we have been showing this season then anything could happen

Yeh you played well on Sunday, biggest difference was the ruthlessness in front of goal. And the eyes of the linesman. But Drogba's goal at OT in 2010 got the same blessing too.

But Macheda hand-balled in the build up of Utd's goal in the same game. I would've taken 1-0 if things were done properly by the officials. :)

I just placed the weirdest bets yet.

-A newcastle win at 1.90 - 5 pound
-A double of: Man City-Everton over 3.5 goals scored and Arsenal win with 3 or more goals scored at 8.55 - 4 pound
-Wolves to be winning at half-time only to end up losing it at 9.00 - 2 pound.

Ahh shit I forgot about the African Cup. "Last hurrah", their last hurrah will be when they win the Champions League :)

Well he's scored 31 goals in the past 2 years so you made another mistake.

I agree.

Quick question: Why doesn't anyone in Manchester like Manchester United?

Here in America, we likes it when our hometown team is kicking ass and taking names.

Well, it didn't always used to be like that, it sort of started with the Glazers taking over and an uprising began, leading to the formation of United FC (which is basically the anti-ManUtd) which has amassed a cult following.

Also, there's not a bigger turn-on in the World than a passionate female football fan. In my case, I will not get married to a woman that doesn't like Arsenal or watch football, seriously, fuck that.

For an added bonus if you pause it at 3:16, you see this:

Quite often in England more than one team is in a city.

So Manchester City and United are both Manchester, most support City.

London has a lot of teams.

Everton and Liverpool are Liverpool.

Among others.

Tbh The biggest turn on for me right now is Nikki Bella's voice. Great ass, beautiful face, but her voice just drives me fucking wild.

And so, Man U is hated because they aren't Man City? Sounds odd. In America, cities with two teams usually, most usually ignore one of the teams. I.E. New York is all about the Yankees while joining everyone else in laughing at the Mets.

The Mets. lol

To be fair, it's actually a bit of a myth that people from Manchester don't like United, truth be told it's about half and half, it's just that they also attract a lot more fans from elsewhere so it seems that way. And United is closer to Salford than Manchester, so that would explain any small preference for City. When United were finishing 10th in the top flight long before express trains to Surrey etc. Old Trafford was about the same size as Maine Road.
