Domestic football - spam version

Figured as much. Thought I'd check anyway.

Also, as funny as Torres' miss was yesterday, I didn't understand MOTD2 making it out as if he had set a new precedent for bad misses. For my money, Chris Iwelumo still holds that record.

As a Manchester United fan from Manchester (that rarest of beasts) it saddens me to see the amount of United fans who are straight off down the M6 after each home match. If you want to go down the glory-hunting road, support Chelsea or something. Seriously.

EDIT: I'm quality at fantasy football.

Yeah, I can appreciate how you feel. Although, to be fair to myself, I've been a Man Utd fan since I was like 3 years old. My dad wanted me to be a Spurs fan but my Mum turned me into a Utd fan. Partly to piss off my Dad and partly because there are some Utd supporters on my Mum's side of the family.

Also, I go to all the home games of my local non-league team, so I don't think I'm the worst offender. Sometimes I do wish I was a spurs or fulham fan though. Just so I could get to see live premier league football every week. The only "big" game I've seen live is last years JP trophy final.

Iwelumo's miss isn't as bad simply because he didn't anticipate the speed of the ball. That's a mistake, yes, but it wasn't like he could've walked the ball in like Torres.

That's a fair enough point, but I would still go with Iwelumo's miss personally, just based on the fact it was literally two or three yards out and he was right in the centre of the goal. Torres' miss is certainly awful as well though.

Edit - Actually, I just watched it back (Iwelumo) to make sure I was remembering it correctly and heard it with scottish commentary where the commentator didn't realise it had gone wide at first. Hilarious stuff. I know that's probably old news to anyone that watches Soccer AM, but I haven't watched it since Lovejoy left.

Ronnie Rosenthal. Nuff said.

United fans always desert OT early but I've always figured it's due to them needing to get down the M6 because it's a long way from Old Trafford to London.

Whenever I've been to Anfield, I've always stayed to the end. I gave up at 60 mins on Sunday because I was disgusted and that's only happened a couple of times when I've watched games on TV.

Too many Scum comments in this thread so I'll have to interject with:

FUCK!! I forgot about my fantasy team this weekend :banghead: This makes me a sad panda :(

I would have had more if it wasnt for the muck up, I saved my team but my change of Britton in MF and dropping Enrique did nothing. That would have put me up to 71.

So, as I pretend to know what I am talking about..

PNE is going to Southampton on the 21st for the next game. According to the PNE site, the Saints are reigning champs of something or another. But PNE has won the last six games against them. I like those odds. :)

I've tried to find out a little more about Newcastle United's next match.. But I can't understand the site. :( Can you help me out Lee?

I think there is one tonight or at least in a few hours for the UKers.
