Jews dressing up like Germans, no?

Anyway, big time looking forward to the playoff final this avo. Less so to the Champions League, but it will be good I'm sure.

Correct.

Man I'm so fucking glad we didn''t finish 4th. 'Arry's gonna top himself.

Ming's also probs very drunk.

Well, that was interesting.

...Chelsea players squabbling over position with the trophy on the balcony I mean. Game was fairly shite after Gomez stopped flapping at balls in the box.

Hey Harry congrats on the Euopa League Cup win erm the Carling cup? How about the FA Cup? Qualifying for the Champs League? Well at least you got the England manager job...

I think he'll end up back at Atletico. Swapped for Falcao or something, I can't see anyone else wanting him. In other news, Ronald de Boer becomes the latest to turn Liverpool down. Actually it might have been Frank. It was Frank, I've just checked. Ronald probably has too though.

I have no problem with him wanting to leave; Chelsea doesn't seem to be working out for him. What I think is fucking ridiculous is him asserting that he has in some way been badly treated by the club because they didn't play him in the Champion's League final.

The club stood by him going twenty-five hours without a goal; he doesn't get to be outraged that he didn't start the biggest game of the club's season.

I thought this too.

Fernando Torres didn't play the Champions League Final because he didn't deserve a place in the team. Didier Drogba scored the most important goal of his illustrious career and I don't think think the same would be said for Torres. If he had played, then I doubt Chelsea would have left with the Championship.

Torres needs to put his ego into check. But then again, he is probably just letting clubs know that he is available for transfer. Chelsea wont want him and he'll be lucky to find a good team that does.

I'm sure Tyler or Neville mentioned something about how Torres didn't get to start despite his recent form but Bertrand did.

Uh... yeh... because Torres doesn't play in defence?

Very much agreed fellas.

It will sicken me if Di Matteo is not given the Chelsea managers job, it really will!

Beaten Napoli, Barca and Bayern to win the one trophy Mourinho, Ranieri, Hiddick, Scolari, Ancelloti and Grant failed to win, won the FA Cup, got Torres back on form, and got the team believing again.

What the fuck else would Roman Abramovich want?

A more high profile candidate and someone who has a record record of being able to rebuild a team, something that Chelsea are going to need in the not too distant future?

To be fair, I see your point on the "rebuilding" issue, but I still think Di Matteo should be given the opportunity.

And I see no point in going for a "high profile" candidate, if the right man is already at the club. They have already tried to win the CL with several big names and all have failed. The players believe in him, want to play for him, and he has already shown he can get the best out of them. RDM deserves his shot IMHO

RDM:
Finished 6th. Won Fa Cup final against mid-table side. Drew champions league final. Won in penalties.

Grant:
Finished 2nd. Lost League cup final against mid-table side after extra time. Drew champions league final. Lost in penalties.

Not much different in achievements but oh so much difference in media coverage.

That's more like it. Before you bring up the League positions, RDM had WAY less time than Grant did to make an impact in the League and Grant's predecessor (Oh, who was that again? That's right, Jose Mourinho) was a lot less catastrophic than Di Matteo's.

Let's also acknowledge that Di Matteo is a Club Legend and Grant was a stranger.

But the very reason AVB was sacked and RDM hired was because of league position. Just because he made a hail mary run in the champ league to qualify doesn't mean he failed his primary objective when brought in, which is to obtain Champ league qualification by improving their league position. Almost all the matches under RDM, Chelsea ceded not only possession but control to the opposition, hardly quality. If we discount domestic cups as most 'top club' fans like to, the only difference in achievement between the two is a slipped John Terry penalty.

RDM is basically similar to Grant in terms of abilities yet the media coverage is unfair due to Di matteo's club legend status. I am not discounting RDM's achievement in winning the biggest prize, but a little perspective is in order. Lets compare with the previous manager. AVB was also a young upstart that won titles but wasn't given the time to change things. There is nothing that RDM or the big russian has displayed that will be any different if RDM is hired. Not having drogba for the next season will force Chelsea to change their tactics, which we seen from AVB's days isn't as easy when the core of the team is so used to the old ways.

Day 7, at Anfield, as they search for Kenny Dalglish's replacement.

It won't be De Boar, it won't be Rodgers, I hope it won't be Martinez or Capello, please just swallow your pride and turn to Rafa. HE LIVES DOWN THE FUCKING STREET FROM ANFIELD! Okay, maybe not in such close proximity but still very close.

I think Rafa would happily toss off Andy Carroll for the chance to return to Anfield.

I think he would be the best man for the job, and I think the fans would be alright with a Benitez return. Spanish waiter

Well if an Italian waiter is the overwhelming favourite for the Chelski job, Rafa should get it but he won't. IMO, this is AVB's to lose. Martinez is back up and Rafa is an outsider at this time.
