Would TNA call him John Hennigan if he came in? I assume 'Morrison' is still trademarked the the 'E?

Apart from JoMo and Goldberg, I can't think of ANY free agents in wrestling I would actually get excited about. This is the problem with only 1 big company, the amount of 'shock' signings and people with name value switching companies is so low. The days of things like Rick Rude appearing on both shows in a day, Luger turning up on Nitro out of the blue and The Radicalz jumping to WWE as a group have gone forever

They can't trademark Morrison can they? It's a play on Jim Morrison anyway

JoMo has two things going for him. 1 his in-ring work and 2 the Morrison brand.

He has to debut in TNA as Morrison. He could Jay Morrrison or J. Morrison, that should be fine.

I don't think it's Morrison, I wonder if the BIG is meant for someone physically BIG. Like Steen, but I'm not sure if he is contacted to ROH. Dragon Saga would know as he is the man when it comes to ROH stuff. Lashley, Master, and even Holy are big too, but I don't think that will rock impact. If it is Jomo I'd be pleased, he isn't that bad and could do well in TNA.

Just to touch on the JoMo thing, he is one of the worst talkers I've ever seen but he got pretty decent in the ring shortly before he left.

So he'd be an early version of AJ Styles? Much as AJ broke the mold for me in really supporting wrestlers who lack personality, I can't see myself getting behind Morrison much. Always hated him. When I was still watching WWE, I hated the stupid Morrison gimmick. I used to fast-forward through his annoying slo-mo intro, and any time he brought the Miz on my screen I'd completely fast forward through it until the Miz was gone.

Maybe I'm just holding a Miz-related grudge, but I just don't see a scenario where I really get all that behind this type of signing, assuming it's him. Especially because he's gonna be coming in with so much clout that they'll end up slotting him so much higher in the hierarchy than he belongs. If he ends up TNA Champion, I might have a conniption.

I'm kinda hoping, since he has looked to work in movies, that he really polished on his promo skills.

The man has the look, and the move set to be an attraction, and a natural babyface.

Sad thing is I used to really like Miz & Morrison. Then I eventually realised that Miz is essentially Mr Anderson aka made out to be a lot better than he actually is but slightly worse in the ring. I liked Morrison's rock star gimmick and if his promo skills have improved I feel it would be interesting.

Morrison would seem to be a good fit for the X Division and he is decent in the ring (needs to get rid of Starship Pain though - he cannot make it look decent for love nor money).

However, as was mentioned, the chances of him being 'relegated' to such a lowly position are very slim. Instead, he would likely be inserted into a level where he will be expected to talk, which is easily his worst trait. Having said that, he is capable of putting on entertaining matches, particularly his Falls Count Anywhere matches with Sheamus and Miz.
