Dixie Carter teases a new talent signing; Carlito to TNA?

Like who, D? Jay Lethal, Amazing Red, Brian Kendrick, Hernandez, Eric Young and the rest of the card-carrying members of the DPC TNA can lay claim to? Yeah, no thanks, man. I'll take a Gregory Helms or a Christopher Daniels or anyone with an actual personality over any of the aforementioned names any day of the week and twice on Sunday before I'd push or re-push anyone who I just so happen to still have on the payroll.

Who exactly is waiting in the ranks who's actually worth not being there?

If it turned out to be Christopher Daniels, it wouldn't mean much. What has he done since 2006? A feud with Shane Douglas.

The reason I don't care about who TNA signs is because one way or another they will find a way to mess him up. Kendrick hasn't done shit and Hardy was the hottest thing on the planet when he left WWE and basically turned him to an afterthought.

Helms is okay at best. His "feud" with the Rock was the best thing that's ever happened to him in the WWE.

I don't know who TNA can sign with an actual personality. Benjamin is vanilla as they come and Haas has personality impersonating other wrestlers. Mickie James is just blah and Carlito is Carlito.

It'll be Carlito. Dixie says lots of stuff like this and its purely hype. Think of all the 'HUGE' announcements. Doesn't make it true. What she means is 'people have mentioned this guy joining after being relased by the big dog'. TNA has proved that WWE have made some mistakes with releasing certain people (Pope comes to mind) but they simply cannot keep living off of WWE scraps; they're trying to compete with WWE by using people WWE let go; essentially their rejects (Angle, Hardy exempt; they both took TNA for the lighter work-load I believe). They need their own talent. Or at least talent from anywhere OTHER than WWE.
Also, Carlito most likely won't get very far. Maybe challenge for the X Division title or TV Title? Just can't see him going far.

AJ/Joe/Daniels III, and a singles program with AJ that included a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.

Yeah, I'm sure his legal problems have nothing to do with that.

Longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion in history.

Carlito is Carlito, what's that mean?

I do remember that feud with Sting. Went nowhere. Pretty much sums up post-2006 Daniels.

Yeah, I'm sure his legal problems have nothing to do with that.

Hardy better hope those issues get resolved fast. Knowing TNA, I thought he would have been world champion by now. Maybe a redemption angle like Kurt's is in store.

Longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion in history.

Less than a month before starting his reign, he lost to Jerry Lawler. His feud with Matt Hardy was meh. Should have started just as Hardy went to Smackdown as a result of losing to Edge in 2005. Jimmy Wang Yang's peak was at 2005.

Lazy, untapped potential, basically a poor man's version of Shelton Benjamin.

He likely would have if the dirt sheet reports were true when they came out prior to RVD winning. Hardy apparently would have been the one to win had he not been facing all these legal issues.

So? Still the longest reigning Cruiserweight Champion in history.

Lazy, untapped potential, basically a poor man's version of Shelton Benjamin.

Yeah, except that Shelton Benjamin is nothing but athletic ability wrapped in shit parading as a "personality". Carlito actually has a personality.

I hope it's Benjamin personally. He's not nearly as boring as Jay Lethal.. he just can't be. He's someone who I think can be great with the right support, and TNA has loads of people who can help him with his mic work or do his talking for him. However given what Dixie said, I bet it's Mickie James. I don't see Carlito doing anything but running his mouth right now, we probably won't be seeing him do anything worth mentioning until the new year, I'm pretty sure he had money even before joining the 'E' and when your father runs a promotion, you do what you want knowing you always have a job somewhere.

Carlito going to TNA now THAT...That's Cool!

I have to say Carlito was one of my favorite wrestlers during his tenure in WWE for the fact that when I saw him, I knew I would be entertained as long as he was on my T.V. screen.

However, if this is true I think he would be a good addition to the X-Divison as he is on the lighter side and I feel could be a good face and fued with Williams and his whole TNA Original (Didn't he join TNA like a year or two ago :wtf:) or he could be utilize in the dead T.V. Championship division.

Now I will say this may or not may true but I feel the PIMP let one slide on this even if he did repost, that when he that statement it was by total concidental.

I don't think it's Carlito.. he's wrestling for Lucha Libre USA now and whether or not he's signed to an actual contract doesn't change my opinion. Honestly.. I'm hoping this is someone like Gregory Helms.. or an Indy Talent that TNA has had before. That being... Possibly Austin Aries or Delirious. We'll see but either way, I want to see who this is even if I'm disappointed.

Pope has a history of posting factual news on his twitter. I guess I have to take back what I said about ICarli

I hear he shaved the fro.. WTF

I'm clinging to the hope that Carlito meant everything he said about being mistreated on that interview. The man has some good stuff in him. He, unlike Shelton, has a great personality. For one, I'm exited to the possibility of him joining. I'm not clinging to the hope of him becoming TNA Champion. I do however hope that he brings a much needed "happy-go-lucky" personality to TNA. We always hear about beatings and brawls in TNA. Bringing in a character like the one Carlito presented in WWE really can give a nice breath of light-heartedness to the program. Face or heel.

As for Daniels returning, I just hope that TNA learned that time apart makes the heart grow fonder and finally make Daniels a goddamn Champion. I don't care if its the X Division title, the TV title, the Tag Team titles or the World title, just don't have the man bullshitting around randomly.

Dicksy needs to quit signing all this old talent/wwe rejects and start utilizing Talent is already there. Look at Hernandez, most underrated guy probably in TNA. The dude is a beast. Samoa Joe, yea he's a bit stale but there is no denying his performances. Amazing Red, Douglas Williams, Jay Lethal (disappeared?) and plenty more there too. I mean, i know my screen name is contradicting what i just said, but Scott Hall is the Stuff.

Doug Williams and Jay Lethal are being used. Samoa Joe was on TV just about every week before the suspension and now looks to be involved in the deception angle. There really isn't anything for Hernandez to do atm. I also don't get why people use the term WWE rejects. He would be in the WWE right now if it wasn't for his ONE drug violation. If it wasn't for Randy Orton Mr. Anderson would still be in the WWE. WWE didn't get rid of these guys because they are rejects. Is The Pope a reject or was he a mistake by the WWE that TNA capitalized on?

My money is on Helms. He was on a high point before he left the WWE and could fit right in to the X-Division, especially if he doesn't do that crappy Hurricane gimmick.
