Diva's Champion

I too completely forgot that McCool had the Diva's Championship. When she unzipped her jacket I was like "oh right, we have a Diva's championship now".

Although Natalya is way too good for the Diva's title, she really should have been the first champion. There were so many more feud options for her. WWE has nothing for McCool now, thus people forget that she even has the belt. That isn't exactly what you want to happen with a new championship.

I don't see a point in having the Diva championship AND the Women's championship or why they didn't just move the division to one brand and build it there with the Women's championship.. but I will say that last week's Smackdown with the six man Diva tag I thought was actually really good and all of the women looked pretty impressive. I'll give them props for having some potential with the women, I just really don't see the point in having two belts and having the women's wrestling separated on two shows.

Hey there's a Diva's Championship. That's nice.
Nothing has been done with this belt. Nothing. They had the match at the GAB and thats all. I think the champ hasn't won one match since then and Natalya's won at least one match that I know of. The title means jack shit and i wonder when they will get rid of it.

The Diva's belt is really pointless. When I first heard about the belt I wasnt100% against it because I understand that the Smackdown women need something to fight for. I thought if their was something for the women to compete for than there wouldn't be so many 6-diva tags, swimsuit matches, and pointless nowhere feuds. But it now seems the WWE are not using the belt to it's fullest(and I say fullest lightly). There have not done anything with it and their seems to be no direction for it. The belt is just a random decoration for McCool. Now I believe they should just get rid of it and make the women's belt tri-branded so the smackdown divas have something to "live" for.

the belt is just the WWE throwing a bone to The Undertaker..its obvious Michelle McCool aint got what it takes to be the Womens Champ cuz she cant carry the crowd..so they create this 'title' just for her cuz shes Takers chick..i mean shes only had one match on SD since GAB..againsst MARYSE and it wasnt a title defense, and then she wasnt even on the next week..Mickie is on EVERY WEEK...its obvious that Maria is gonna get pushed to hold it next since shes so high with the fans..she was the only one in tag match on the face side to get the fans out of their seats...I wouldnt be surprised if under a year the title is gone..in actuality, although its the best option, I dont think they'll interbrand the belt..it'll stay on RAW and the WWE will just draft who they want to draft for the belt..Natalya might hold it soon but it will be the only time and then she'll go to RAW where she belongs

The Diva's Championship is only there for Michelle imo. Just so she can say she was the first ever Diva's Champion. She's not worthy of being the Women's Champion so the WWE stuck her with this Diva's Title.

Don't be too suprised to see this belt retired with in less of five year's. I hope to god Natalya never has to go through the embarasment of ever holding this piece of tin. She belong's on Raw as does Victoria. Why Kelly Kelly and Layla are on RAW instead of SD! is beyond me. The creative team truely are a bunch of strange people who I will never understand.

I'm not saying I don't agree with there being a "Divas" championship- in theory. It was obvious that the women of Smackdown needed something to fight for instead of who got the most teenagers *********ing that night.

But the way the WWE has started with this belt is all wrong (what a surprise). First, the design. I said this in another thread, this bling bling crap that they've been doing with their titles is a disgrace to wrestling. You fight for a title because it proves you are the best, not because it's a bling accessory.

Second, Natalya should have been the inaugural champion. If they wanted to jumpstart the women's division on Smackdown, they should have done it with their best female wrestler on top. Michelle is an OK wrestler for a woman (not trying to sound sexist here) but she is not championship material. Clearly Natalya would have given the title a hell of a lot more credibility, but then again, seeing her with that awful-looking piece of crap would have made her look stupid. They just don't match.

Oh yeah... McCool is the Divas Champion... I forgot....

Guess what WWE? That statement pretty much proves that no one really cares that much for the title except that Natalya shoud've won it in the first place. This title wasn't need, nor was it wanted. McCool truly has nothing left to do, except for the occasional title defense, which by the way, hasn't even happened yet and shows just how much exposure Michelle will get as Diva's Champion. Throw the title out, move all the divas back to Raw, and give us back the Cruiserweight division.

They made so much hype about the title on Smackdown, then we got to the championship match they don't put the belt on a talented wrestler like Natalya, they give it to Michelle who is very average in the ring. In my opinion, the only reason Michelle's the champ is because of her rumoured relationship with Taker. It isn't even being defended at Summerslam, and hasn't been defended since the Great American Bash so is there a need for the title

Even if the diva's title is phased out we dont get your cruisewights back, but thats a diferent thread. If they are gonna keep the diva's title make diva's compeat for it, not woman's wrestlers. I say clasify the girls and put the wrestlers on Raw and the divas on SD! Here is what it would look like

RAW
Mickie James
Beth Pheonix
Melina
Candice Michelle
Natalya
Victoria
Katie Lea

Smackdown!
Kelly Kelly
Layla
Cherry
Maria
Michelle McCool
Maryse
Jillian

Now people like Natalya are not disrespected by the divas title and can accually compete for a legit title. Personally i beleive the diva's title was created to help make the SD womans division interesting, cause right now both shows woman divisions are being blown out by the Knockouts division. But with a lack of intrest form the creative team. it just looks bad.

First off let me say that Im not a McCool fan. I think she has improved just as much as Candice and at least she trys but I still find her technique lacking and her personality is bland. Anyways people went all ape shit when she beat Natayla for the belt. They couldn't believe that this crappy wrestler beat a Hart member. Natayla while amazing in the ring really hasn;t proved much in the WWE yet(might not be her fault) and she really doesn't get much of a reaction(again maybe not her fault). I think everyone can agree Natayla>McCool in the ring by miles, but when has wrestling ability ever matter in being a champion? There have been hundreds of women and men who couldn't "wrestle" and were still champion. McCool gets more cheers than Natalya gets boo's so it kinda shows McCool is more over(4 now) so it makes sence she got the belt. Also people like to use how Natayla's been wrestling for years and McCool is relatively new, but who's been in the WWE longer? McCool so it also makes sence that she got the belt since shes been working in WWE longer. But then people argue that Natayla was a beast in the indy scene and was trained in the Hart Dungeon so that automaticaly makes her a better fit for WWE. Yet these people are the ones who discredit Punk's Indy sucess and say he shouldnt get the belt cuz he was awesome in ROH, yet they are willing to reward Nattie for the same thing? Makes no sence personally.

Michelle is such a bland average wrestler that i wonder why WWE even made that ugly piece of crap belt. She's only champ cuz she's boning Taker and the fact crowds look bored shitless whenever she comes out proves it was a mistake giving her the belt. She hasn't even defended it yet and the belt will most likely end up being retired within 6 months cuz WWE finally get that it was a mistake making that Barbie Championship belt

I agree with the very first post of this thread - seriously, WWE needs a lot of things - but 2 Women's Titles? And I'd like to quote Jon LaJoie on this:

"Why did they let Martin Lawrence make Big Mama's House 2? I mean... Two?! Come ON!"

And those are my sentiments exactly when it comes to the "Diva's Championship".

I think it's only fair that the women's division has their own title; after all, they have a handful of really capable female wrestlers (combined with many more pretty girls who are indeed pretty, but who should never get into the ring calling themselves "wrestlers") - but in all honesty, no one needs TWO titles for the female division, if there are such a ton of titles around anyway.

If they need to have more titles (for whatever reason they might've conceived), they should bring back the Cruiserweight title... but TWO women's titles. And in danger of repeating myself... TWO?! Come ON!

Besides, the belt looks really cheap (hm did John Cena think up the design?!), compared to the other women's title, which looks pretty decent if you ask me. (Well as you can tell I am a fan of the old style of title belts... Attitude Era and before... basically anything that was there before John Cena destroyed any credibility any title belt had ever had with his spinning thing... yuck.
