I just got off the phone with the local newspaper in regard to writing an advice column. I'm suppose to give them an example of my writing, and they'll put out "feelers" to see if people in the town would be willing to send in their problems to get opinions/advice on.

Its for the local town nearby. Mount Pleasant, Iowa. Nothing is set in stone yet, I have to write a piece out for them. Kinda like a trial run, I guess.

They'll post something (I believe) seeing if anyone would care to send in their questions and if they get a big enough response, they'll go from there on discussing a fee with me.

Currently they don't have an opening in their paper to add another column unless its something the public wants. The good thing is, most people generally like "Advice Columns" so I'm in good standing with that, as noone else is doing that in this paper.

The negative thing is, I feel I'd have to remain anonymous, as noone typically wants to hear advice from a 25 yr. old male. If the younger age didn't turn them away, the fact that assuming a male could give any type of (good) opinion might. As its been pointed out, most "advice columns" are written by females.

Everyone but Cola. He can't seem to find the intellect to read beyond two sentences, which is the only reason I can gather for why he'd want me to continuously lessen what I write.

Anyways, honestly, absolutely.. anyone who was wanting to read it, I'd definately post it. What some people may not know is, I've been trying for a while to write articles for the main page here on Wrestlezone. I've had some great stuff written out to discuss, but the guy in charge of everything fails to see talent.

I honestly never thought much of what I wrote. It wasn't until several people here on the forums started pushing that I try to follow something with writing, that I actually gave it much thought.

I've always tried helping via giving advice, but I didn't honestly think any job/career would want to PAY you to write something like that. I figured thats what therapists were for.

Your essays on here are usually pretty good. I like reading them as they tend to make me think. You can get paid for doing just about anything, even telling people common sense.

Thats because I wouldn't see you as the type of person to write into a newspaper column and express your problems, hoping for someone else to solve them for you. I don't take offense in it.

In fact, I'd more likely see you as the type to write into the column with some made up story, simply to see what type of crack-pot response you get from it.

Your right. I do that. Although I'm yet to be published. I also go for job interviews as well, just to see if I get them. I have WAY to much time on my hands.

Its not persay that I hold a grudge. You truly pissed me off and offended me with your comment about trying to more or less "demand" that I lessen my posts in the bar room.

As if you're the ultimate control over that section. Like I said, if you truly don't like reading something thats lengthy by me, then don't. I know several people (even if on screen they appear to not read it) that actually do, and admire me for my opinion.

Colin, honestly I know some people joke. But when you say selective things, I don't know if you're joking or not because you've been known to get very defensive with others who've joked at you, including me. Why do you think on MSN from time to time I ask if you know I'm only joking around.

Well, I guess you can say the same goes for me. Sometimes I can't tell if you're only joking, or trying to be serious in being naive.

So honestly, no I don't hold anything against you. But if you truly don't wish to read what I write, then how hard is it to skip over to the next post? Instead you try so deseprately hard to be one of the "it guys." That type of thing only shows immaturity. When the fact is, I've tried giving you respect. I like you, but you get annoying at times. Sorry if that offends you, but its the truth from me.
