I am torn whether this is a work, but unfortunately I'm leaning to his release being legitimate.
Unlike some of you who posted on here, I actually did my research - If another person posts that WWE announced that they did not fire Bryan Danielson, they just fired Daniel Bryan...for those that can not read here is the official statement that IS still on the News tab on WWE.com and was NOT removed (yes this was posted before but some of you are obviously not comprehending - I'm sorry I put this in parentheses being as some of you choose to disregard items in such a format):
WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors.
Ya see? Just like Carlito's release:
WWE Superstar Carlito (Carlos Colon) has been released from his World Wrestling Entertainment contract as of today May 21, 2010. Carlitos termination was due to his first violation of the WWE Wellness Program and his subsequent refusal to attend a rehabilitation facility.
Okay, I know this may be rough for you all to wrap your minds around, but let's take a look at the similarities here - Carlito is the name he wrestled under, he was released. Carlos Colon, Carlito's given name is in parentheses. WWE made it clear that they would make it known when a wrestler was suspended or terminated due to a Wellness Program violation...Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) was obviously not released for a Wellness Program violation or that would be the reason given, if an employee is fired under other circumstances in WWE other than a Wellness Program violation, they DO NOT elaborate. Let's now take a look at the release of Mike Knox for an example, who was also not fired for anything to do with the Wellness Program:
WWE has come to terms on the release of Mike Knox as of today, April 22, 2010. We wish him the best in all future endeavors.
Daniel Bryan and Bryan Danielson have been announced to be released by the WWE with an official statement on their website.
Moving on - Dave Meltzer originally reported that it was a work but after the original post reporting that there was internal knowledge of the firing of Bryan Danielson to higher-ups in the company that are not involved in storyline decisions and would definitely not be mislead by the company they are employed by unless it was absolutely true. Who are Donna Goldsmith and Michelle Wilson, you ask? Donna Goldsmith is the Chief Operating Officer for WWE, Michelle Wilson is the Executive Vice President of Marketing..."Wilson oversees WWEs global marketing and integrated brand initiatives, including pay-per-view, advertising, promotions, research, creative services, and public and government relations." - WWE website. Why would Michelle Wilson be included in a storyline on WWE TV, why would she be lied to by the company she works for and told an employee is fired who actually is not fired? What company do you know that does that? Read her responsibilities, WHAT DOES SHE HAVE TO DO WITH THE SITUATION BESIDES THE FACT THAT SHE PROBABLY RECEIVED AN EMAIL STATING THAT BRYAN DANIELSON HAS BEEN RELEASED?!
Okay -Now, this is all not looking so good. The one thing that I am inclined to think that is a little suspicious...Daniel Bryan changed his Twitter name from DanielBryanNXT to bryandanielson - this doesn't look great either - BUT - he moved all of his former tweets from DanielBryanNXT to his new Twitter name - Some of which were tweets from when he was employed by WWE and I would think that WWE would have a right to tell him to remove those tweets, some of the tweets regarded storylines on NXT, WWE trademarks and covers their asses and has rights to all of this information, I would think.
Now, my final thought...why would this be good for WWE even if it was a work? Yes the IWC would know it is a work, but with all of this information coming out to sway us to believe it is legitimate...Monday night after RAW I was more excited than I've been about wrestling in many years - I'm a Bryan Danielson mark just as many of you are...we were all hesitant to think that WWE would be able to carry this storyline and not screw something up - Well it seems they already did not even a week into it with his release. I still want to see where it goes, yeah, but am I as enthused? Hell no! The NXT1 faction simply is not the same without Bryan Danielson. It is NOT a good move for WWE to make this up out of nowhere after the mostly positive buzz they received from this great ending to RAW.
I'm really hoping I am wrong, I want this to be a work, I want Bryan Danielson in the WWE and part of this angle, but let's stop repeating ourselves and look at all of the information gathered before saying something stupid...it wouldn't kill some of you to do some investigating before making yourselves look like morons with ignorant comments when all the information is right there just as it is for everyone who chooses to discuss this that actually looked into it and got KNOWLEDGE OF THE SITUATION just as well as all of you can do.
Sorry for the long post...but holy hell - some of these repetitive posts were just plain dumb!
