Cryptic "01/02/2012" Video - Chris Jericho Returns- KEEP IT IN HERE! - NO SPAMMING!

No? cause randy orton punted chris so the idea would be to go for randy, if he came back to destroy punk chris would be a heel, i know for a fact it wont be him its an authoritive figure within the company coming back to reclaim what is his

I do understand that Jericho will need to go for Orton, but where's Orton? He's injured so you count that out. Even if Orton wasn't injured, Jericho doesn't need to get revenge.

Look at the Undertaker, he was buried alive last year by Kane at a Survivor Series PPV(I think!), then out of nowhere, the guy returns with a new gimmick and decides to feud with HHH for their match at Wrestlemania.

The key thing is: anything is possible in the WWE! If it's well executed, its realistic and it makes sense, then you're looking at a successful story-line. One of the reasons why I like WWE is because they are flexible, they manage to pull away from old story-lines and put the superstar in a new direction. E.g. Mark Henry injured Kane and put him out of action, he did return to get Henry, but his main focus was Cena. Look at the story-line now! It's now a compelling twist about hate and how Cena should embrace it!

Therefore, (sorry if I went off on a tangent), we can't just speculate Jericho needs to go after Orton straight away if he returns!

Orton's injured, so it doesn't matter anyway. And would you really rather see Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton over Chris Jericho vs. CM Punk? Don't get me wrong, Orton and Jericho would probably put on a good match, but Jericho and Punk would have good segments as well as fantastic, "OH MY GOD!" matches. It's either Jericho or Lesnar. And Vinnie Sunshine...don't you ever regard me as a punk teenager with no knowledge of wrestling. You obviously don't like it, so don't do it to me. That's the way you're making it sound anyway, when you posted about Brock Lesnar earlier. I said there was a chance, it could be him. And no f---ing sh-t Jericho probably gets asked the same thing twenty times on Twitter. I'm just saying this is the first time he's mentioned it as "1/2/02" to my knowledge. And what does it matter to you anyway? He's probably coming back Monday. -.-

it is highly unlikely that it is chris, but tbh that isnt going to be the so called 'END' what they are talking about in the video trust me but wait till monday.

I just wanna say anyone who thinks it is Brock Lesnar coming back is stupid.

The UFC is real fighting they are sanctioned by whatever state they are in. If it came out that he went to the WWE , days after fighting and retiring, they are going to look into it and it could cost the UFC the company. It's like Dana White said they would have to work it out for him to be released. Even Dana White isn't stupid enough to release him just a day or two after retiring.

I mean how many people already think Brock Lesnar didn't try?

Plus, WWE would then give the "State" commission another reason to think the fight was fixed and Lesnar just gave up on purpose because of the promo's starting a month or more before his UFC fight.

So just get over it. it's not going to be Crock Lesnar.

It's Chris Jericho. No way there isn't. It's simply fucking simple.

It is in no way an authority figure. You think they'd put that much time into that for someone who actually doesn't draw money or wrestles matches. No one will pay to see Shane, Stephanie, Vince, or fucking Linda for that matter.

It begins. End of the world as you know it. The globe. Look within.........LOOK WITHIN THE VIDEO. See the things. Go watch the the latest Chris Jericho dvd. He changed up the last couple of years becaue he felt he was stale. no more y2j. no more save us. he made a reference to no country for old men. his character will definitely be different. he's coming for punk. coming for the best in the world, coming for the wwe title. it's so damn simple it's ridiculosu

But... like you said, we'll see on monday pal.

^^ but what are Lesner or Sheffield coming back to claim if its one of them. Taker could be for WM streak, but Jericho makes sense, to take back best of the world title. Plus several reports say Punk Vs Jericho at WM. its Jericho. they wouldnt have this much promo for someone like Skip Sheffield. I dont see Brock coming back, and I dont think Taker comes back till Elimination Chamber. The it begins promo will run during Punk/Ziggler match and Jericho returns to attack Punk.

Let's all be honest, shall we? No one's going to f---ing cheer Sheffield if he turns out to be behind 1/2/12, especially because the official Twitter promised we wouldn't be disappointed. Now if Sheffield is behind 1/2/12, I'm going to be seriously disappointed in Raw and most likely take a break from watching it and just reading the results online. So I'm really hoping it's not Sheffield. If he does debut next week and he's not 1/2/12, then good for him, he can debut whenever he wants as long as he doesn't have promos similar to this that make me jump up and down to see someone I actually care about.

You do realize that Jericho and Vince can work around that right? Rock had a busy schedule doing movies when he was with the company, Cena was shooting movies AND doing RAW.

But Shane McMahon couldn't do the same thing? Interesting...

Its this magical thing called scheduling, and with that means ITS ALWAYS SUBJECT TO CHNAGE!

It's this magical thing called spellcheck, and with that it means IT'S ALWAYS SUBJECT TO CORRECTION!!

I can't tell you how many times I've seen people ask him, "when are you coming back to the WWE."

Sure you can...because wrestling isn't your life, remember? Even though you apparently spend endless hours swinging from Jericho's Twitter handle.

If it ends up being...well since Taker is a viable option, if it ends up being anyone but Jericho or Undertaker Ill shoot the boot.

And fill up on a nice, hot steaming bowl of crow, YOU pompous, arrogant douchebag. And stop hedging your bets--grow a pair and make a stand and stick to it. Sitting on that fence too long is gonna make your wussy hurt. Speaking of which, guess we can stop guessing now...

You're the man behind the videos, AND the Divas champion?

Yep, you're the mysterious hermaphrodite the 1/2/2012 promos are for!!

And I just became your daddy, so shut up, bitch.

This is for all of the people that mentioned that it isn't Jericho because he isn't a destructive force that can end everything, because he isn't big.
Well for one, he is bigger than any current champion in the WWE. Secondly, don't IWC marks always advocate that a wrestler doesn't have to be big, and that big guys should pretty much job to young guys simply because they are more "skilled". Hell a lot of you base who should be winning the matches on merch sales and mic ability. For instance, CM Punk cuts a promo that became famous, and his shirts started selling rapidly. Now the guys is virtually unbeatable. If that's the way WWE is being booked nowadays, Jericho would be this destructive force.

This is for those that think it can't be him because he said so on Twitter.
If it is Jericho and people ask him in Twitter if it's him, do you really think he'll just say "Yup. You caught me." Hell, should Raw stop airing the "it begins" promos just because some people guess it correctly?

^^^*Ahem* Mother fucking owned.

I still don't think that it is Jericho. I really don't. It's TOO easy. If I'm wrong about that so be it, but there are too many things that would only make sense to Jericho marks. 1. Jericho is not a force. He won't even be over if he comes back. 2. The "end of the world as you know it" line. The way the video is narrated is that the boy is speaking to the audience, many of whom will not correlate Punk's best in the world claim with Jericho saying the same thing. It was a general ominous statement to the WWE Universe (ugh). It meant that something BIG is going to happen. A Punk / Jericho match doesnt meet that requirement. To the general audience, it's just another match.

I may be eating crow in 2 days, but I would bet my nutsack that it's NOT Jericho.

BEST Scenario #HandsDown:

"It Begins" should be Triple H...

Easy heat (#Heel) NOT ONLY bCuz he's feuding with Punk but bCuz people will feel like they've lost out on a HUGE surprise. Trips says it's because he came back as "The Son-In-Law" of Vince McMahon and now he is BACK as the "King Of Kings" "Cerebral Assassin" "The GAME"... He RULEs the WWE world and NOW he will prove ,once again, to the world who the BEST is!

Punk can use this to continue to say that Triple H is SOOOOOO "Power Hungry" that he couldnt even give the most successful tease of a return in current day "Sports Entertainment" to a MORE deserving person... ahem - Jericho - ahem.

PUNK goes SUPER Face, Triple H is BACK as SUPER Heel

They feud thru "Royal Rumble" - Punk wins a StreetFight for the Title, Beating the "KOK" @ his OWN game. .

Following RAW we are told Punk will have a MAIN EVENT wDolph Ziggler & Triple H will be taking on US Champ Zack Ryder... Triple H takes his anger out by DESTROYing U.S Champion Zack Ryder. After Triple H wins the match he decides to brutalize Ryder wThe sledgehammer and then leaves, sledgeHammer in hand.

Punk is set for his MAIN EVENT match against Ziggler who is shown laid out in the back b4 cutting to Triple H who MARCHES down to the ring, grabs a mic and calls out Punk!

Jericho's music hits! SURPRISE!!! He says Triple H was stealing his ideas and handing them to the OTHER superstars and EVEN took HIS return LAST Minute influenced by his wife... He continues to bad mouth Mrs. Levesque (Circa WWF) - SUPER Face move - and says Triple H was NEVER the Best while he (Jericho) was there, Still isnt today and couldn't even beat the current champ Punk. And he CANNOT beat Y2J cuz He is "The BEST In The World" @ what he does. This infuriates Triple H who runs up the ramp to slug it out with Jericho. They fight and have to be separated/escorted out by security.

Punks music hits, He comes down to the ring and complains that he NOW has NO ONE to face... Lights go out! GONG! LIGHTNING!..

Undertaker comes out... Comes to the ring... Looks @ Punk... Looks @ the Wrestlemania Banner... Looks @ the title... Looks into Punks eyes... Cut throat gesture. 2 HUGE Matches...

1) Triple H vs Jericho & 2) Punk vs Taker (Title vs Streak) @ Wrestlemania

BEST Scenario #HandsDown:

I'm a huge Triple H fan and even I can say this is a horrible idea.

Easy heat (#Heel) NOT ONLY bCuz he's feuding with Punk but bCuz people will feel like they've lost out on a HUGE surprise.

He is not feuding with Punk, and they even sided with each other.

Trips says it's because he came back as "The Son-In_law" of Vince and now he is BACk as the "King Of Kings" "Cerebral Assassin" "The GAME"... He RULEs the WWE world and NOW he will show the world who the BEST is!

This would be great as a separate angle to hype up his match with Taker at WM(assuming that's really happening.)

PUNK goes SUPER Face, Triple H is BACK as SUPER Heel

Punk is already a SUPER face.

Triple H has take his anger out by DESTROYing U.S Champion Zack Ryder. I can't say that I think this is a good idea. I don't. But at least you were creative enough to think of a story . So I commend you for that at least.

I'm a huge Triple H fan and even I can say this is a horrible idea.

He is not feuding with Punk, and they even sided with each other.

Alright... Lets go back to the vids:

1)Shot in CT (They can use that fact)
2)Little Girl = Steph telling CM Punk she cant HELP him anymore.
3)He's stated that he is the BEST b4.

Benoit and Angle feuded WHILE being Tag Team champs so what does that mean?

I ddnt say they WERE but they WOULD be IF Trips came back as 1.2.12. Lets say the whole Nash setup WAS setup by Trips to keep the title off of Punk... Lets say Steph was on the board to vote Trips off of Raw... Lets say with a NEW year and ratings dropping that Steph and the Board have 2nd guessed their opinion and Triple H is back.

When was the last time Trips was a heel. Doesnt he do so much better?! Wasnt their feud set to be one of the largest, but couldnt do it due to Triple H NOT being booed? Cmon.

Punk is already a SUPER face.

Punk is a face but he's dying slowly. The IWC is with him but I just came from a live show... Although he gets and outstanding reception, it coulda been better. He's OVER but without allowing him to "speak" they limit what gets him there. Give him something stronger. A win over a heel Trips would be a great stamp!

I appreciate your comments but I still LOVE this idea.

Less than 48 hours till Chris Jericho's return.

But since Brock Lesner is retired from UFC, suddenly he is one of the choice. Maybe Stephanie is bringing him back to revenge on CM Punk.

But I would love to see Jericho back than anything else. :)

Perfect timing for Lesnar to retire. Perfect opportunity for the intertron nerds to put on their tinfoil hats.

"This was the plan along!!!! That's why he's in WWE '12!!!!!!"

I'm only joking of course. ;)

I'd truly be surprised if it's not Jericho at this point. Too much supporting evidence (especially him being reported to be in the area the next few days). I'm looking forward to it, but you'd be tough pressed to convince me of it being any other than Chris Jericho with less than 48 hours to go.

My general idea which I thought and still can work for monday: There are going to be two returns. In the opening segment, somebody is going to return (possibilities are Ryback, Clay, or even Vince.) Throughout the show, Cole and Lawler will show the replay of the return, making the audience believe that it is said person. Then in the last 5 minutes of the show (which will be the WWE Title Match) Jericho will return. It will most likely be after the match, and Jericho will attack Punk ending the show.

Look, I am as much of a Jericho mark as the rest of the people on here insisting that it is Jericho. But it is not. Now, I could come up with a long list of reasons why it is not, but I think in your heart of hearts you know it isnt too. The messages at the beginning of the promos may have been Vince hoping that it would be, but it is not going to wind up that way. Due to the recent turn of events with negotiations with Y2J (vince wanting rights to fozzy songs and such which, is true), and Brock Lesnar retiring from UFC, and the next day saying that he is putting WWE back on the plate, I cannot help but think that it is Lesnar. which is ok with me I suppose. I would much rather be a dreamer like the rest of the Jericho marks(once again, I am one) and say YES! IT IS HE! Unfortunately, for all of us, it is not. Sad Face.

I'd be happy with Jericho or Lesnar. I was never a Lesnar fan back in the day, but watching it back, I'm a fan. If it's either of them, I hope they stick to their original songs. It REALLY irks me when they remix the song (take Bret Hart's music for example). To me it kills the reaction a lot. One of my WWE pet peeves I suppose.

This would make sense if dark matches were even televised.

God...some people just make me wanna :banghead:

It doesn't matter if the dark match is televised. If it was Sheffield and they put this much hype on his return for several weeks, they wouldn't have him wrestle in front of thousands of people in the arena, and against McGuilicutty at that. Not only does it spoil his return for the thousands in attendance, but also anyone who reads the results of the show/dark matches online. Then not only would it be spoiled, but he'd also look weak being booked with McGuilicutty.

Then you might argue that it would still be a big surprise for the casual fan. Well most casual fans don't even know who he is. The majority of people that want his return so bad are IWC. His dark match return can easily be found on many wrestling site on the internet. Why don't you bang you're head a little harder.

Okay The Voice is here to set things straight.

Whoever the mystery man is, he is going to come out after the CM Punk vs Dolph Ziggler title match and attack the winner and Champion (almost definitely will be CM Punk as Ziggler is just getting a title shot for a push)

The most likely option according to sources is Chris Jericho. This would be fairly cool but it wouldn't get me overly excited. Besides, Y2J is too unreliable as he wants to piss off every 5 minutes to "sing" I also think the promos are too dark for Y2J.

From the promo's alone it could be The Undertaker. However i am unsure whether having him feud with the current Champion would be smart. They could possibly have him beat Punk at WM28 and then drop the title the next night and retire as Champion which he deserves.

Someone mentioned Vince McMahon, which made me think a bit. But wouldn't that be a bit of an anti-climax as the promo suggests whoever it is will come along and "destroy the weak" Vince can't even beat his own son.

Someone else it could be is Brotus Clay. That for me would be the biggest let-down in WWE history. He is somebody i do not have any desire to see. He looks so boring and just no. I'm gladhe hasn't debuted yet and i hope it stays that way.

The outsiders option is Brock Lesnar. He did seem to retire from UFC at the perfect time, of course. JR seems to be going well out his way to play it down which would be a bit odd unless there was something to it. WWE and Lesnar have apparently been talking again due to WWE 12 and all that. I'd imagine Lesnar would want to wrestle again now that UFC is done with.

Lesnar would be my personal preference to return. I could just imagine it..

CM Punk defeats Ziggler in a tough match (it will be a close match to put Ziggler over as a believable title contender) and as Punk is celebrating physically out of breath and finding it hard to stay on his feet. Lesnar comes out - possibly with JL - and just beats the living shit out of Punk as Ziggler gets the hell out of there.

EDIT - i don't actually THINK it will be Lesnar but i defintely think it would be the one to create the biggest talking point. It's possible VKM may have had a pre-agreement with Lesnar and UFC to make Lesnars last fight with Overeem and appear quickly on Raw on Monday.

"The Voice"...really?

Anyways, it makes no sense IMO to have him feud with Punk. It would kill any momentum Punk has right now and would only split the fan base...

Reading up on it all a bit further makes me believe that it is in fact Brock Lesnar.

October 2010 - Undertaker/Lesnar stare down at UFC 121. Obviously the intense stare down Undertaker and Lesnar had sets the stage for a huge match. Never before has this happened at a UFC event. Also, the Undertaker was actually interviewed and he was not in character...when was the last time 'Taker gave an interview to the media out of character? When was the last time the Undertaker gave an interview period?

January 2011 - WWE approached Lesnar requesting to use his name and likeness in the WWE 12 video game and the advertising campaign. Lesnar reportedly loved the idea but wouldn’t sign until Dana White gave his blessing. White stated to TMZ, "I love WWE and I have nothing but love for Vince McMahon -- I'm totally OK with Brock being in the game."

October 2011 - Deal w/ WWE is announced. First commercials advertising Lesnar in WWE 12 are shown.

November 2011 – The cryptic 1/2/2011 vignettes begin airing. The vignettes claim that whoever is “coming” is a familiar force and will punish the meek, among other things.

December 30, 2011 - In an interview with the LA Times before his fight this past Friday, Lesnar had this to say about a possible WWE return, "I was recently asked to be on a WWE Legends video game, and when I did it rumors sprouted I was coming back. I'm an ultimate fighter. I know (pro wrestling's) always there. If the organization sees business to be made off me, I don't think anyone in their right mind would turn down money, do you?"

Surprisingly, Lesnar loses very quickly. Was he just that outmatched to where he didn’t have a shot? Was he still sick from his disease and was nowhere near fighting shape? Maybe both of those….or maybe, maybe he knew that 72 hours later he would be on camera on Monday Night Raw and if this truly was his last fight, what was the point of looking tore up and beaten down.

During his post fight comments, as I mentioned previously, Lesnar was very humble. Lesnar stated, I’m going to say officially, tonight was the last time you’ll see me in the Octagon.” During his post fight press conference, Dana White reminded everyone that although Lesnar is retiring he is doing so still under contract. White stated, “"When he retires, he retires under contract. I've had my moments with Brock Lesnar, but I've had a great relationship with him. I don't know... we'll figure it out, no big deal. Never had a situation with a guy where, you know, we haven't done the right thing."
Clearly a settlement will be reached at some point. White has stated he has nothing but love for Vince and the WWE. Lesnar, after two straight losses, is more marketable and will make more money for Vince and WWE then UFC at this point. It makes no sense for White to hold on to a retired Lesnar, it makes perfect sense for him to let Vince buy out his contract.
It seems to me that this has been in the works for quite a while. We all have debated that the 1/2/11 vignettes are for ‘Taker or Jericho. They are dark making it seem like ‘Taker, but the wording make us think Jericho. The one man that both the darkness and wording match are Lesnar. I strongly feel that he will be returning this Monday. It’s too good for business to pass up.

I know Lesnar has retired from fighting, but i'm 80% sure he will still be under contract with UFC and that means he won't be able to appear anywhere else until said contract is up.

I'd just like to add...

Y2J! Y2J! Y2J!

He is still under contract to UFC. That contract can only presumably be bought out (by Vince) or a settlement could be reached between White and Lesnar.

A retired Lesnar will make Dana White ZERO money. The WWE and UFC are not in direct competition with each other, two different products. Considering the good working relationship between White and Vince, it makes complete sense that White would allow Lesnar's contract to be bought out. Its good business.

@The Big Red Machine and @Da Muddaship

Sorry for just now getting back to you, I was out celebrating and having a life instead of spending my holiday weekend trolling the wrestling boards. Both of you are naive piss-ants who just want to get the last word in and can't look at things LOGICALLY!

No, Shane is NOT coming back. He WILL NOT do business with his dad as on-screen character again...EVER. Besides, he was a part-part-time wrestler whose character was daddy's little rich boy. That was a long time ago, why would he come back. Shane has ALWAYS been 1-dimensional.

I dont spend every minute on twitter follwing Jericho's every word. I FOLLOW him, along with Punk, JR, Austin, Rock, Dwight Howard, Kevin Smith, and a bunch of other media stars. When I see Jericho tweet something about not wanting to be bothered or to stop asking him...I can only assume that he is asked the same question multiple times! Same with JR. Do you honestly think they want to be asked over and over questions that they cant give a direct answer to? "JR when are you going to come back and announce RAW again?" Its not his decision.

@Da Muddaship - Yeah Im the Divas champion, it means I have more rep than you AND I HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP! According to your location, you dont even know where the "intercontinental" is.

@The Big Red Machine - Yes...it probably WOULD make sense for Jericho to go after Orton. If it was 6 months after Orton punted him. Orton's punt was a way of getting Jericho written of TV so that he could leave. Going after Orton now is pointless 1) because Orton is now injured and 2) Orton has nothing for Jericho to after him for.

Punk holds the title and calls himself the best in the world. Jericho has always said that HE is the best in the world at what he does. Punk also has the WWE title.

Money-wise it makes sense. Its a SMART business decision. You have crap stars for Punk to feud with and already have a great ME for Mania...why not stack the deck more and put Punk/Jericho for the title?

Also, having an authoritative figure come back is pointless. It makes no sense to make a feud between JL and, say Vince McMahon...or ANY McMahon. They own the company, they say jump JL better ask how high and where to.

When it IS Jericho...I bet you both will MTFO!
