Christian falling out of favour???

Spawn of Kane

Dark Match Winner
I know 99.99% of the discussion of last nights Raw will centre around the NXT Invasion angle, but i noticed something far more shocking. When They had the 3 superstar choices for R-Truth's partner lined up backstage, as they called out there name's, Christian got absolutely ZERO reaction!!! I'm not sure if it's a Miami thing (maybe he aint so popular there), but for Captain Charisma to get no reaction whatsoever from the WWE universe really cant be a good thing right, i mean even MVP got a pop!! So is this the end for Christian??? Why did he get no reaction??? Am i reading too much into this??? Discuss!!!!!

MVP is from miami and Morrison just re-debuted from his injury..

Nothing to do with christan, Just who he was up against

Like the guy above me said, it was just who Christian was standing next too, it had nothing to do with Christian himself. But if the WWE keeps misusing Christian and not putting him in meaninful feuds than the fans will stop caring about Christian and he will, like you said "fall out of favor".

First off... Christian is a Smackdown superstar so shouldn't this be in the Smackdown section?

Second... I hear that the crowd was pretty much dead the entire night anyways.

The WWE Universe likes to jump bandwagons. A lot of people are behind JoMo because he is supposed to be "the next HBK". Plus, I'd rather see Christian in singles action now than tag action. Sure, he's an amazing tag wrestler, but he needs to stay in singles if we want him to not "fall out of favor" and win a world title in the E.

this is probably the closest and best reason for the response that Christian got last night. just a tough call between the other options and the crowd.

plus, perhaps, like Decarow said, could have just been because the crowd was dead (according to reports) all night and just couldn't care by the time this match came around. possible.

and Decarow, i wonder if this isn't in the Smackdown section because it's concerning last night's Raw event. i'm not sure, but that's just my guess.

given the [IMO terrible] feud between Christian and Ziggler on Smackdown, i was pretty surprised to see that neither one were voted for the opposing partners. that would've made more sense to me. plus, why bring back a free-from-injury Morrison after weeks of missing tv just to job? seems like a bad idea. better to have Christian and Ziggler as the partners. then no matter who jobs to who, at least it looks a bit more respectable. IMO.

I read from a live account of RAW that they didnt show Christian on the big screen or even announce his name to the audience at the time of the introductions...they just showed MVP and then Morrison. I was not surprised that the fans picked Morrison because of his history with R-Truth, as much I would have liked to see the Ziggler/Christian fued to be carried over, i'm sure it will continue on Smackdown! this friday.

Christian should be in feuds with all top level guys and competing for the title, period. wwe sucks sometimes the way the dont use guys the fans love.

Christians time will come, we just need to sit back and wait. WWE is trying to push alot of people right now, can't do it all at once. But a christian-kane fued might be good for both of them.

The crowd was dead the whole night for everything, even for one of the top five best endings I've ever seen.MVP is from Miami, and Morrison hasn't been on TV in over a month, so Christian was just at the wrong place at the wrong time. If he's fallen out of favor with anyone, it's WWE Management. What has he done since ECW folded. Not. A. Damn. Thing.

While the end was great, the entire "viewer's choice' concept killed most of the show for me. The crowd, at that point, was possibly already annoyed by the online choices and maybe that's why they were so dead. Again, MVP was in the "305" and Morrison just came back from an injury; the real question, in my opinion, is how on Earth did Ryder get more fan votes than Ziggler or Regal, I have a feeling people just picked the heel they hated least.

It's not time yet to worry about Christian. And really, would you like him to be in JoMo's shoes last night? Aside: let's not be silly, we knew WWE had a plan set forth for each match no matter who won. He's about to put a great future star Ziggler over in a feud, which is awesome for everybody, and after that, his time will come. And if his time doesn't, then the world will look at him like it does Ricky Steamboat, and really, that's not a bad thing. Although, I hope he does HAVE his time. And hopefully very shortly after he puts Ziggler over to the moon.

The big problem is Christian has never seemed to have been in creatives good books since his return, whether this is because of turning down a contract to go work in TNA or his oft criticised physique not being Vince friendly is open to negotiation. The fact that he wasn't allowed to be the last ECW Champ highlights this. Poor old Christian has been used to make other wrestlers look good ever since his return, which he does everytime. But unlike other stars who held the ECW belt (CM Punk being the biggest example), he wasn't allowed to move onto bigger and better things - only getting onto the Raw roster when ECW folded. He has been evicted from the Jeff Hardy accident storyline and was moved to SD when Edge moved to Raw removing an obvious storyline. It's hard to remember a significant plus since his return - IMO the length of his ECW reign was more of a cursed chalice than a vote of confidence. I haven't seen Raw - it's only in Britain at a reasonable time on a Thursday night and it sounds like this might not be anything to do with Christian himself... I hope so, otherwise it may be an indication the WWe universe have lost faith in him ever getting a push.

I think people jump to conclusions WAY TOO FAST when it comes to anything remotely negative involving MVP, Morrison or Christian. It's like... MVP lost a match. Does that mean he's in the dog house? Or John Morrison lost a title match. Does this mean he will never win the world title?

Christian will probably spend his contract as a upper mid carder and not be a main eventer unless something drastic happens in his career that impresses Vince McMahon or one of hte writers. Maybe Edge should speak up like Cena did for Bourne or HHH did for Sheamus.

I was just watching some Promos oh Christian back in 2003-2005, and MAN, did he get a reaction.
Truth be told, most people got reactions back then, but still.

After his meeting with The Rock, he became Captain Charisma and starting cutting some great promos.
Christian started generating a lot of Heat, and had some good Catchphrases too.
He really needs to start saying, "That's how I Roll" again.

Then he started getting into a little Feud with Cena, cutting promos and having confrontations with him.
These guys even had Rap Battles that made both of them look good.
Seriously, Christian was getting great Receptions during this time, and Vince just didn't want to go with it.
That's why he left for TNA. He was in a line for a push, but Mr. McMahon just didn't see it that way.

He's still good, even though I think he's funnier as a Heel, he still has a lot of Fans behind him as a Face.
Come on, just put him in the DAMN Smackdown Title Picture.

no dont think he fell out of favor with the fans the only reason he hasnt done anything since ecw is because vince is pissed at him for talking smack about wwe when he was on tna which is why he was put on ecw as punishmentyeah he did win the title but come on the womens title has more prestige than the ecw titlei hate to see what happens if angle ever went back to wwe cause he ran his mouth off on tna awell

Not being used very well on smackdown at the moment, could really be pushed into the world title picture if used properly. Instead he's losing against chavo and dolph, which is a bit of an insult in my opinion. Can see perhaps a rivlry with Drew McIntyre, or even Kane. He's a strong face or heel, and he's good on the mic, just needs a push asap.

Christian, although popular with the fans, has never been too popular with management, obviously his feud with Ziggler is more for Zigglers benefit, but hopefully he'll get noticed if he gets Ziggler over. Christian has done this for them before with Swagger and Ezikiel Jackson, but hopefully if the Ziggler feud is the one that sticks in terms of him getting Ziggler over, then maybe he'll be noticed for that and his time will come.

JOMO got back from injury and plus he's suppose to be like the next HBK or something which IMO is never gonna happen .
Anyways,
MVP is from Miami and Christian was just there... I was kinda shocked that he got no reaction but I don't care cause I don't want him to be in Tag wrestling anymore .
Don't worry , Christian is still very loved by the WWE universe .

What the hell are you talking about , the womens title is nothing compared to the ECW title , for me that was like a world title . So don't be talking crap .

Christian is in a very strange situation right now and I have no idea what is going to happen with him in the near future.

The problem is that the WWE is literally giving him nothing to do. He came into the company with so much promise and following that it would have made sense to have him do something big. It was a shame that the surprise with him supposedly being the one to attack Jeff Hardy was spoiled and they had to give it to Matt Hardy, who obviously didn't make anything of it. I really would have loved to see where Christian would have went from that feud and I am sure that we would still be feeling the effects of that.

However, it was not to be and I think that the WWE have just been really happy to let him stumble through meaningless feuds with people that he shouldn't really be feuding with. Give him CM Punk or Edge and the fans that come to the arenas and pay their money will get involved and behind the angle. Give him something worthwhile and he will show us what he is capable of. That being said, I don't think that the WWE have enough faith in him right now. It's a vicious circle with Christian. He can't get into the main event scene without a decent feud and he can't get a decent feud without being in the main event scene. I feel sorry for him.
