Please, this is not a thread to speculate about how he and his family died. This is the Chris Benoit Memorial Thread. The police investigation will reveal how he and his family died. Until then please be respectful and say a word of prayers for the extended Benoit and WWE family. We have lost a great one. I will miss Benoit forever.

No, what doesn't make sense is for Chris to rush home due to "carbon monoxide" problems affecting his wife and son, then succumb to it hours after it initially affected his wife and son. Right, in the time it took Chris to get home after initially finding out about supposed carbon monoxide problems, no one thought to call 911?? Right...

im new to this website and i have been a long time fan of wrestling and of course chris benoit. he was one of the greatest technical wrestlers of all time in my mind. i had the the privilege of going to the pay per view vengence. when the announcer said in the beginning that chris wasn't going to be there the audience was in shock.. people started to cheer, "bring out chris!!".. no one wanted to see freakin johnny nitro.. it was amazing how loud all of the fans cheered for him..i just wanted to pay my respects in some kind of way.its tragic but now hes in a better place with one of his best friends..=/ god bless all of his family and all of u who read this.. live life to the fullest.. no one knows when their time on this earth is going to end live laugh and love.. god bless-javie

A quick update, I've found this bit of news making the wrestling news website rounds:


We're being told tonight that police were dispatched to the Benoit home after receiving a call from WWE officials who were concerned that they were not able to get in touch with Benoit.

yes, this is definitely real. there is no way wwe would stoop to that level, saying his family is dead too. vince just acknowledged that the mcmahon angle is fake so believe the hard news. this is surreal.

Im sure everyone wants some sort of closesure as to why this man is not with us any more. I mean everyone on earth is wondering what is the offical cause of death and why. Its not a matter of dissrespect to ponder on the reasoning of his death. Its a matter of healing. I hope its simple, it just seems sticky. Sometimes the truth is better untold. Looking back now,
I feel honored and priveleged to have actually seen him wrestle in person.

It wasn't too long ago either,
just a few months.

A Smackdown/ECW house show in Hershey Pennsylvania.

He was the United States Champion then.

It was just your typical mid card match.

He wrestled and beat Chavo Guerrero.

I've always been a fan of him,
so just to finally see him right in front of me versus seeing him on a screen was just sureal,
and amazing.

I'll never forget it.

yea man, i went to wrestlemania XX, the night he finally won the championship. it was amazing, the crowd was going insane on the verge of a riot. he tore the roof off of madison square garden that night and i feel lucky to have been there.

I was never a huge benoit fan but he was the next bret hart in my humble opinion and the more i think about it he should be buried with a belt around his waist because he is a champion and also for the respect and the preformances he gave every night he praticipated

I dont watch Wrestling anymore, but Benoit was my favourite growing up. I loved watching him in in the old 15-30 minute WcW fights.
