Well I mean they only fight those who are worthy opponets. If somone is weaker than them, they wont just slaughter it. The whole culture and storyline about Predators is courage and honor.

that's what I've gathered from the Predator storyline. They live to fight the Aliens and whomever else they feel worthy. They won't go around killing children because it's funny to see their little heads explode.

and you know what, ive heard from a shit ton of people that Star Trek was rockin.

It was.

I forgot Batman, as well.

I liked it because I'm a huge Batman fanboy, and the idea of seeing a Joker/Batman tumble was great. They really nailed it. And considering they had Nicholson/Keaton to go over, they did great.

Although im not sure those two films can be called a reboot?

I would say they were. Star Trek's last movie was what, Nemesis? In '02? The new Star Trek completely rebooted a film franchise that was on it's last legs.

I wouldn't call The Dark Knight a reboot as much as I would call Batman Begins a reboot. Batman Begins completely allowed me to forget the abomination that was the George Clooney Batman. I mean, nipples on a batsuit. /facepalm

Where have you been, Razor?

Oh, here and there. I've got a lot of stuff to do for my Comp II class, which is rather important. I have to get an "A" in that class, or i lose upwards of 8,000 dollars a year in scholarships. In fact, I have a essay I should finish up right now....

:wtf::wtf::wtf:

Check out some of Sergio Leone's stuff (and Clint Eastwood's stuff as well), and then tell me if you still feel the same way.

Uh, maybe its just the genre of movie, as I hate Westerns. But, 3:10 to Yuma is the first Western I've EVER made it through without falling asleep. It was just that dang interesting. My dad watches Westerns 24/7 so yeah, I've seen some of their stuff. Its just not as good as 3:10 to Yuma.

Refresh my memory on Unforgiven? I remember the name, but forget the storyline. By the way, I tottally forgot Tombstone, I liked it about as much as 3:10 to Yuma.

Eastwood plays an old-time gunslinger who comes out of retirement to take on one last job when he goes after some men who cut up a prostitute's face. That's the basic premise, but there's a lot more that you'll just have to see.

I'll talk to pops about watching it sometime, I'm sure he'll like that. I don't think I've seen it, but I've certainly heard the name.

I was about to murder Milky's face but you've thoroughly handled that Tdigs. Seriously, 3:10 to Yuma the best western ever?! No. NO.

NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO. NO.

NO

Anyone else intrigued by this film Adam? Anyone heard of it? It looks like it could be a truly special movie, just read a great review of it. Might have to seek this one out.

World's Greatest Dad looks intriguing as well. I fucking love Robin Williams, and this looks like one of his best performances ever. Looks simultaneously hilarious and dark at the same time.

Yes! This film looks so good. Which is nice, because Robin Williams needs a good movie every once in a while. He's a great actor, just watched him in "Good Morning Vietnam", although the character in this isn't as motor mouthed. He's great, and I can't wait. The only problem I can see with this might be the kid from "Spy Kids" might get on my nerves.

Dude, where the hell have you been for the last week Murf?

What movies did you see?

Orphan, Visioneers, Cloverfield, Funny People, Barton Fink, and Hard Candy. Not in that order. Rewatched Brick, In Bruges, and Southland Tales.

I was chilling in PA and hanging with my cousins a girl in a relationship with one of my cousins. we played NJ laser tag, go karted, and watched shit tons of movies.

Is there a difference between New Jersey laser tag and every other kind? :headscratch:

What'd you think of Orphan, Funny People, and Barton Fink?

I thought Orphan was more of a comedy than a horror, so I liked it. Actually I loved it and was laughing for pretty much the whole movie.

I was expecting mediocrity from Funny People, but they actually delivered a good movie. I liked it, but it's a tad long.

Barton Fink isn't my fav, but I liked it. I only realized after watching it that it moved faster than I expected it to. "Sex? He's a man: we wrestled!" is also a great quote, props to Sam for putting in in his profile. It was very good overall.

Hard Candy was meh, and Cloverfield was a tad lame.

I can't wait to see both of these. Also, Old Dogs could end up being very fun as well.

Cat's Eye and Nightmares (the movie with Emilio Estevez)... thoughts on these two films, X?

Cat's Eye I haven't seen in years (I assume you're talking about the Stephen King film), but I remember it scared the shit out of me as a child. That little troll thing? Creepy as FUCK. Been meaning to give it a rent one of these days.

Nightmares I absolutely LOVE. Such a cheesy 80s horror film, and I'm a big time sucker for horror anthologies, and Emilio as well. Haven't seen it in quite a while either, I really need to track that movie down again.

I watched Escape From LA the other day, haven't seen that since it came out 13 years ago. Such a disappointment in comparison to the first film. It was enjoyable in a cheesy way though, especially with all of the great little bit parts from people like Steve Buscemi, Peter Fonda, and to my massive fanboy pleasure AJ Langer (Rayanne from My So Called Life). I nearly flipped my shit when I saw AJ! Any thoughts?

Right now I'm watching Soylent Green. Great movie, another one I haven't seen in years. I sorely wish I could have seen this film for the first time without already knowing the ending though. I imagine it would have been such a great shock had I not known what happened.

I feel the exact same way about the Usual Suspects. Talked about as one of the greatest twists in movies, but I don't see the point in watching it because I already know it.
