Armbar & Jesus and Pals

Well my friend is a personal trainer at the local Gold's, so he is going to be helping me out a lot the next couple of months. If things don't work out and I don't fight at this card, I would have to wait until early Spring next year as it's a small promotion and doesn't put on a lot of cards.

That absolutely sucks. So we can only hope you get in shape and get ready for it. I seriously hate having to wait long time for something I'm looking forward to, I can only imagine you feel the same way, at least about this.

I was in Califmafornia for the last two and half weeks, bud. Cept in my half, not your half. Alas.

I was actually in Texas for about two weeks to be with my sister when she was diagnosed with Leukemia. On a lighter note though, we drove up to Sequoia National Park and stayed there for a while and watched bears. Good times.

Yeah Ferb, it's a bitch having to wait and patience is a strong point of mine. Half of the reason I needed surgery is because I sawed a cast off of my leg when I was 16 before my injury had healed all because I wanted to continue to wrestle.

I hate waiting as well. There's 4 days (not including today) till I'm going back to the tattoo parlor to continue my tribal, I've waited since February, so I know all about being impatient at times.

Must be a big piece if it takes more than one session. I'm supposed to call up my artist to set something up with him about my next appointment for my feet but I've been busy/lazy.

Tribal sleeve. I've had about 5 hours of it already and I've only gotten the majority of my upper arm covered. I got 3 x 2 hour schedules in September / October, starting 1st September. so I'm excited to get back into it all, I don't know why, but there's just something addictive of feeling the needle on your skin.

It's absolutely one of the most addicting things on Earth. There's just something so PERMANENT about the experience, the fact that the pain is there for a while but the cause of it is there forever. Definitely a soothing experience.

After I get done with this academy I have to attend in October - November, I am gonna fill my left forearm, and get a peice below the one I already have on on my left arm :)

I got promoted, big time, Mr.Bar. I know you are proud.

Hell yeah. I already got stuff planned after I've gotten the sleeve done.

Only thing I hate about tattooing is the itchy healing process afterwards. These 3 appointments are with 2 weeks in between so they just barely get to heal completely before I get to go through another healing period.

Tears of joy NorBud, tears of joy.

My Albert Einstein portrait won best black/grey portrait at a tattoo festival a couple of months ago. Very proud of that. I have to finish the last bit of that sleeve then I have pretty much an empty right arm minus one tat. The my geet and my chest and I think I'm done. Maybe something on the legs but probably not.

The itching is awful Ferb. I learned that Aquaphore actually increases the itchiness of the scabbing so I switched to a tattoo balm ointment instead for 4 days after new ink followed by regular Lubriderm lotion.

the only thing I hate on the healing process is having to take time off from the gym, but I just decided that since im a baller, fuck it if it gets damaged, ill just have the artist touch it up. lulz.

I use some kind of baby moisturizing creme. That, or some of the stuff that my tattoo artist gives me, the itching really isn't too bad. But some days it's just a bitch.

The worst part is when rubbing the cream on in the later days when the scabs are starting to fall off, half of it just sticks due to the cream.

Okay cool guy, okay...

I actually don't have good skin for tattoos, or so says my artist. He says he gets a lot of customers who are Italian or Sicilian who's skin just doesn't take ink naturally, so I always try to keep good care of mine just in case a touch up can't fix it.

Im a fucking serious bleeder, besides that though, my Norse skin soaks it right on up.

Would have been a fantastic wrestler as far as blading goes haha

I've always been told that moisturizer isn't recommended for the first week or so, but rather a healing ointment like aquaphore. The stuff they usually have at the parlors isn't bad, just usually overpriced and the same shit you can get elsewhere honestly. Plus, everyone heals different anyway. Old school artists recommend nothing at all for two weeks ha.

Not even sure it's a moisturizer actually. But it looks a little bit like it. My mom have used a bit of it though with her tattoos, as well as I have without it turning out that badly. However I primarily have used the stuff my guy gives me.

The parlor gives a small bit of it for free, supposedly what should be enough for the healing process. Of course he said I only had to apply it 3 times a day, I apply every 1-2 hour after recommendation from my uncle (many tattoo's as well).

I've bleed a decent amount as well when I get tattooed, but it's not too bad. Mostly bad when you get that tape wrapped around it for the first few hours.

Also I've been told I'm great at sucking in the black dye on my tattoos.

Yeah I do Ink Balm for a week and then just lubriderm after that for a good couple weeks and it looks nice. Every tattoo I've ever gotten though I had to make an immediate touch up appointment because a lot of the thicker colors aren't taken well by my skin. The Einstein portrait was 5 hours plus 2 more 2 hours touch ups.

I've become a massive Jin mark myself. He's the one guy that actually looks ferocious. Like, Sayid looks like a 2 week old kitten compared to this monster.

Charlie pissed me off on my previous rewatch, especially when he becomes Eko's bitch.

Ha that was pretty rad.

I really liked Jin after the first couple of rewatches, and Charlie I never cared about until season 3 really.

Yeah wtf D-Man. Well it's cool, I don't have the raw nerve to bump my own thread like so many other do....:suspic:

Or maybe nobody gives a fuck about this thread. I'll stick with the former to feel better about myself.

I haven't started any training Angel, still recovering from the surgery but in about a month we're gonna take a look at where things are. Not to sound cocky or over confident, but there would only need to be a couple areas I would need to train in. Not because I am uber experienced in all areas or anything like that, but because 95% of the fighters that fight for this local promotion are almost all boxers that couldn't cut it there. Really, I've been to 3 of their shows and only once did I see anything resembling any kind of jujitsu or grappling. So if I feel I don't measure up standing, I have a wrestling background that should do me good.
