All of this talk of Superman versus Batman brings up a debate that I had in the past with this one idiot. Now I won't say what my answer is til after a while but here is the question.

Who would win in a fight between The Hulk and Wolverine?

Embrace your inner geekdome and discuss.

Hulk. I'm a geek, it's all cool. Wolverine's skeleton is unbreakable but the cartilage between isn't, meaning Hulk can tear him apart. You could say that Wolverine could just heal, but it'd take a while before someone could find all the pieces of him and put him back together, by which time it's just a new fight.

Hulk, easily...would Wolverine's claws even be able to penetrate Hulk's skin enough to cause damage?

Wolverine'd be destroyed.

That's a good point but even with the healing power of Wolverine, he wouldn't be able to use that power as the Hulk would just keep pummeling him. The Hulk wouldn't stop until Wolverine was a vegetable.

Problem is that Wolverine barely ages and being pummeled wouldn't make him a vegetable. If anything he would become more outlandishly violent after such a traumatic experience. Hulk would get bored, walk away for 15 minutes, and turn around to be stabbed in the eye. Then Hulk would heal and it would start over again.

But when he starts pummeling Wolverine again, then walks away again what if he transforms out of the hulk. Then Wolverine could kill him.

Then Wolverine wins easily because he's no longer corporeal. Ninja-like as Wolverine has been known to be, he can't dodge the Hulk for long, especially if he's looking for a real fight.

True. But who would start the fight? If it was the Hulk then he would of had to of been previously mad, but if it was Wolverine what did he do to make him mad?

Well then I geuss were back to the original point where the "massiveness" of the hulk would tear wolverine apart thus ending the fight.

Again, Wolverine can be torn apart. Thus Hulk wins as soon as he gets his hands on him.

Depends which Wolverine you want in a fight.

Depictions of the speed and extent of injury to which Wolverine can heal vary. Originally, this was portrayed as accelerated healing of minor wounds, but writers have increased this ability over years to the point that he can fully regenerate nearly any damaged or destroyed bodily tissue. One of the more extreme examples of Wolverine's healing factor shows the total regeneration of his soft body tissue, within a matter of minutes, after having it incinerated from his skeleton.[19] Wolverine survives the explosion due to the protection his adamantium-laced skull provides to his brain.[20] It has been stated in the Xavier Protocols, a series of profiles created by Xavier that lists the strengths and weaknesses of the X-Men, that Wolverine's healing factor is increased to "incredible levels" and that the only way to stop him is to decapitate him and remove his head from the vicinity of his body.

No way the Hulk is smart enough to decapitate him(which would include breaking his adamantium spinal cord) and take it with him.

And I think that his claws would actually help him too.

Wolverine's entire skeleton, including his claws, is molecularly infused with adamantium, rendering it practically indestructible. Due to the adamantium coating, the claws can cut almost any known solid material. The only known exceptions are adamantium itself and Captain America's shield, which is composed of the only substance in the Marvel Universe known to be even more durable than adamantium. Wolverine's ability to slice completely through a substance depends upon both the amount of force he can exert and the thickness of the substance. The adamantium also weights his blows, dramatically increasing the effectiveness of his punches and kicks.

Keep in mind that the Hulk can heal too.

So, barring the Hulk reverting to Dr.Banner, this fight would theoretically last forever.

Well who would get bored first?

That would be entertaining to watch. Hopefully they make this into a movie. The fight itself should only last 5-7 minutes. The rest of the movie would be them finding each other and then Wolverine hiding. The fight would end when wolverine jumps off a buidling and tries to slash hulk but hulk punches his head off, goes home and then eats his head with a side of grean beans.
