Anyone seen the latest SAO? Trauma and drama all over.
The latest Sailor Moon is out too and its starting to be different to the original.
And not anime, but still. Legend of Korra has been great stuff as usual. I can see there's more than one reason it was pulled from TV. Onscreen murder.
Definitely going to get my hands on SAO after watching the first couple of episodes and get this anime kick into motion. I've got the anime munchies after finishing Attack on Titan. One of the best shows I've watched, regardless of genre. Can't wait for season 2 (are they referred as seasons?) next year.
I've got Death Note, Fullmetal Alchemist & Highschool of the Dead lined up as well. Very iffy on starting One Piece from the beginning: the amount of episodes are quite daunting. I've been in and out of episodes for all of them and I want to finally get through them. I hate unfinished shows.
One Piece is definitely the best anime I've ever watched. It's sad really because I stopped watching at episode 400 something I believe and just lost my way from there. From the big 3 (Naruto, Bleach, One Piece) One Piece has the least filler episodes and the best battle scenes.
Also, if you want to watch something that just started, go and watch Akame ga Kill! It's totally awesome. It's about a bunch of assassins. That's all I can really tell you. The animation and battle scenes so far have been brilliant. Won't disappoint you for sure.
I am only at episode 110 and I am taking a bit of a break from it considering how much I watched in a really short amount of time. It has been good so far.
Yeah really. Sakura has only had two good matches ever. AJ is the crown jewel of the diva's division. She's at least the Tsunade of... wait... the Mei of... nah... the Kaguya of WWE.
So I finally caught up with all the episodes of Akame game Kill and I really like it. The battle scenes are pretty epic. Even if the anime hasn't done anything new, it's still a pretty awesome anime.
I also saw the new poster for the second season of Attack on Titan and it has persuaded me into giving the series a try. Click the spoiler to see the poster.
Legend of Korra's 3rd season came to an end. It felt like filler, but good God it got violent. Murder and exploding heads. And insinuations of horny cops.
The finale didn't seem like filler to me. Although there were some instances where things just went their way and I wasn't a fan of that. Did anyone else think that the battle between Korra and Zaheer was almost Dragonball Z-like. I mean, you had these guys flying around all of us sudden and it was violent as hell. Very entertaining stuff.
Also, Jinora looks exactly like Aang, foreshadowing maybe? Mako and Bolin were brilliant in both episodes, especially Bolin Not sure what season 4 holds but I'm looking forward to it.

It was pretty identical to the fight between Ozai and Aang. The location was very similar.

If you guys aren't watching Akame ga Kill yet then you're seriously missing out. The latest episode probably had the best battle ever so far. I'm not too sure what's happening in the manga but I know that it's pretty new as well. So I'm hoping that if the anime is this good, then surely the manga is better right? If so, I'll probably read the manga.
Can you guys think of any anime series where the anime is actually better than the manga? Because usually, the manga is better than the anime.
Totally. I'm really not sure who Death Gun is but if they've hyped it up this much and we end up not even remembering who he is then that'll be very unfortunate. Kirito coming outta nowhere to stop Sinon from shooting Death Gun was interesting though. I think it's safe to say that SAO II is better than SAO I now.
So I'm looking for some "so bad it's good" anime movies to watch for this little group I'm doing for Friday Nights. It's Bad Anime Night, and I need suggestions. Generally we've been looking at Ben the Sage's Reviews for some inspiration, but I thought to head over to this thread to see what you guys can come up with.
It's not bad by any means but inferno cop would be a brilliant thing to chuck on if you were to have such a night.
For one that's actually horrendous, the classic mars of destruction could work as it's kind of the anime circle's plan 9 from outer space if you know what I mean.
Man, I love the animus and the mangoos. Seriously, that was my first big obsession back in the day.
I'm an old-school Toonami fan. Tenchi Muyo, Cowboy Bebop, Outlaw Star, Slayers... also into Excel Saga, Azumanga Daioh, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, etc... sometimes I get heady with stuff like Serial Experiments Lain.
One of my favorites that nobody else ever seems to talk about is the Devil Lady. It's a horrifying twist on the superhero genre. This woman ends up forced to transform into this buff, powerful demon woman. Her first reaction to it is pretty frightening, when she realizes just what she is. It's got epic fights, it's deep, it's powerful... and is Go Nagai, so why aren't you watching it now?
Truly bad anime... ugh... first off, I'm not a fan of giant robot shit. I understand the allure, but it really does just distract, IMO, from the characters. But as for really bad anime, I'll have to go with Ninja Resurrection, the old standby. It IS crap. Evangelion is pretty bad, too, IMO. Bolting emo whiny brats and religious BS onto a giant robot show still makes it a giant robot show.
I love anime so much, and wrestling so much, that I blended the two and wrote a little something called Extreme Bishoujo Wrestling... a 26-episode experiment in anime fantasy booking. No powers, no magic, just wrestling.
You can check out the entire epic on Deviantart. Just go to my page, http://wblpartsunknown.deviantart.com and click on the handy directory close to the top of the page. It's under the heading "Extreme Bishoujo Wrestling". Just remember, Deviantart displays stuff newest to oldest. So you might need to surf to the last page of proper folder results to get to episode one, part one, etc.
I even had a whole Paul Heyman style self-promotion thing, I'll see if I can dig it up.
Anyways, I don't watch a lot of the newer stuff, simply because I don't have the time. But if anyone can recommend any of the newer stuff, preferably something under 13 episodes, that'd be awesome.
Oh... but before you recommend something, you might want to check the list of anime I've watched so far... (anything with an ! means I've completed it)

A friend of mine got me started on Rosario Vampire. It's pretty decent. I'm nearly done with Yu Yu Hakusho, and I've finished Hellsing. It's a toss up between Slayers or Kill la Kill for the next series that I watch.

I can personally recommend the Slayers OVAs, both the old 3 and the new 3. Sorry, Gourry, but Naga's got better tits.
Slayers was kind of an inspirational series for me. Turned out there was an anime out there that played out like some of the stuff I used to RP back in the day.
If you're someone who can't handle crap voice acting then it's the most cringeworthy thing you'll ever see. If you enjoy crazy over the top fight scenes and don't care about much other than that you'll love it. I hated it but I'm a guy who dislikes most fighting anime anyway.

Cowboy Bebop is my latest squeeze. I didn't know anime could be like this. Not even halfway through yet though, so I'll post my thoughts when I'm done.
