A Serious Debate: Dean Ambrose getting buried?

Is Dean Ambrose getting buried?

To quote him, "nope".

Dean Ambrose is where he belongs. He's a midcard talent, in the midcard. He was being pushed to the main event scene he was NOWHERE near ready for, luckily WWE realized their error and scaled back on his mega-push where every RAW revolved around him for what seemed like months.

I don't understand what people see in this guy. He's a mediocre wrestler with a horrible character who can't cut a promo to save his life. He has no charisma and his gimmick consists of making goofy faces constantly and getting himself disqualified in major matches. There's nothing special about Dean Ambrose.

When Dean Ambrose lost the major PPVs viz., Hell in a Cell, Survivor Series and TLC, he got a name tag for himself losing all the major PPVs. Following the TLC, he lost a final match against Bray Wyatt in the first ever Ambulance match at Raw. Still there were lots of people defending Dean by saying that losing at PPV doesn't mean he's getting buried. I was one among them tbh.

But lately while scrutinizing, I just noted that he's getting buried for some reasons. He was the one who had the greatest pop before TLC. Then the WWE putting down the momentum he had been getting.

The biggest strength of Dean Ambrose is his mic skills. But I haven't seen him cutting any meaningful or not even a promo after TLC. The only singles competition he won against a major star is Bad News Barrett which led to their match at the Fast lane which was awesome, except the ending!!

But that feud became meaningless because WWE was pushing the ladder match! I don't complain about that ladder match. But unfortunately it ends dreadfully awful for Dean Ambrose.

Not getting any wins lately, not use his best strength the Mic skills and getting pushed down to lower Midcard are the reasons which made me think Dean is getting buried... What are your thoughts?

No. It's just not his time right now. From what I see WWE is all about timing and right now it's not Ambrose's time to shine but good to see Ambrose is making the most of what's given to him.

Dean Ambrose is putting in work. Paying his dues.
Something Reigns never got an opportunity to do.
When they decide to give Ambrose his push (wouldn't rule out a Rumble victory this year. He or Bray) he will be naturally over and be given a ton of respect and pop from most crowds. Gonna be fun.

Burried, no. Victim of circumstances, maybe...

After Shield fallout Rollins emerged as heel and they wanted Reigns as big face. So he lost to Rollins in order for Rollins momentum to last(nice decision by WWE). Then he feuded with Wyatt and by God knows what reason they wanted Wyatt/Taker so they had to keep Wyatt strong. At Wrestlemania they wanted strong champion for IC title in order to make title mean anything so they go with Bryan. So, in a matches at PPV he got booked, in order of things WWE wanted to go in that way, he had nothing to ask in terms of winning in a way he was booked. But he had(except his losses) remained good in terms of promos and matches, still got good pops and if WWE finds anything meaningfull for him and give him good push(MiTB win perhaps), he could emerge as big star after all.

Actually, Dean Ambrose is the Marty Jennety of The Shield. The guy has all traits to become a main eventer but, he is not being elevated. WWE invested in Reigns and Rollins. Reigns became the top face to Rollins' top heel. They think there is no money in Ambrose where they are wrong. I think Ambrose is the money guy actually. He is strongly over with the audience, has a great look and best of all things he can wrestle well. Reigns is the ultimate good guy to Rollins' ultimate bad guy and Ambrose will play the intermediate between them.

Losing matches is not getting buried. Not appearing on TV, on PPV, and losing consistently when you do is getting buried.

When will people realise a few losses doesn't mean 'buried'?

Out of just the former Shield members, Ambrose has the worst look without a doubt. He looks like a creepy pedophile, not a WWE Superstar. And being over doesn't matter unless it's long-term. Look at Roman Reigns - mega-over for about two months, and then the crowd turned on him. Big E - the most over face on the roster for all of three weeks, now a nobody. Only the ability to remain over long-term is important. Dean Ambrose is a fad.

Ambrose has been over as a solo act since the break. Even during the rumble where people were getting booed left and right he didn't.

Let me rephrase that he is an awful horrible wrester with a horrible character he is nowhere near midcard status talent. He is a Jobber followed by Bo Dallas and Zack Ryder category
