2012 Debater's League: Smack Talk and General Discussion Thread

It looks like Round #3 of this year's tournament is in the record books.

Congratulations to The Killjoy and Stormtrooper who stay undefeated and advance to the finals of the Winner's bracket!!! What you gentlemen have done is very difficult. Winning three straight debates against tough opponents is extremely difficult. The winner of this matchup advances to the Debater's League CHAMPIONSHIP and gains a major advantage, since they need to lose twice in order to be dethroned in this tournament! Good luck to both of you!!

In the Loser's bracket, Mitch, hatehabsforever, the Rattlesnake, and deanandterry are keeping the dream alive by advancing in their respective brackets. Well done!!

Not everyone was a winner, this time around. Rohan and DirtyJose have been knocked off their pedestals and were bumped down to the Loser's bracket. But they have good positioning to stay in this thing and come out on top, so keep fighting!!

Unfortunately for Mr. Steve, Pancake, CP Munk and nightmare, we have to say goodbye. You all put up one hell of a fight but fell short. There's always next year!

The next round is starting TONIGHT so keep your eyes on the prize!!

Really enjoyed the Stormtrooper/DirtyJose debate. To be fair, I've only read seven or eight of the debates, but both are too fierce to ignore.

Dirtyjose and I have had a less then cordial relationship on this here forums.

And yeah, it felt good to win that, but only because I know that Dirtyjose was considered the favorite going into this. Whatever personal animosity we have had is irrelevant to the debate league.

That we do, Pancake. I don't hate everyone. Hell, I really don't hate many people on here at all (probably only 1 or 2 that I would say I hate). In fact I tend to like most of the people here. I tend to rub a lot of people the wrong way sometimes, but that doesn't mean I dislike them in any way.

And our debate was just business, Pancake. Nothing at all personal.

I'm not gonna lie, I kinda did a bit of a fistpump when I read that I won. Intense debates like that tend to do that.
