2010 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Kinda curious who you all follow. I post on a Rangers forum since I'm a Rangers fan, but I'd consider posting hockey here some if there's enough of a following.

im a devils fan. hate the rangers.

im gonna start getting in on the hockey talk. since i joined the forums ive mostly been on wrestling, music, and movies. I love hockey and there is nothing more exciting than playoff hockey. These playoffs have kicked it up a notch though. every game is close and exciting and each series is playing out to be unpredictable. Who do you guys think will win the cup? (if youre going to say your favorite team, please supply a backup team as its pretty obvious that everyone wants their favorite team to win).

I have the Capitals winning the Cup this year. I think their firepower will overcome their suspect goaltending and it'll be hard for any team to stop that offence.

Vancouver has a great shot.

When he is hot, Roberto Luongo is the best goalie in the NHL. And he has become increasingly hot. Has not let in questionable goals, and has made some incredible saves.

The Vancouver Canucks also have the second most potent offense in all of the NHL. The Sedins can score at will, Burrows has become a great scorer, Kesler is one of the best two way forwards in the NHL at this moment, Samuelsson shouldn't have a questionmark around him at this moment, scoring three goals in two games so far, uncluding an OT winner, Raymond was a big scorer during the regular season, and I feel he can help the Canucks, Grabner was hot as the playoffs approached, including getting a hattrick in the last week of the NHL.

Canucks also have one of the biggest scoring Defenses in the NHL, as Salo has one of the hardest point shots, Edler scored at will this season, and Ehrhoff knows how to score. Defensively, they are good as well, with Bieksa, and if Mitchell can make it back, Canucks will be incredible.

I still think Washington's goaltending is too suspect to proclaim them winners yet. Assuming Nabokov doesn't pull his yearly ghost trick, I think San José finally wins it.

I don't discount the Coyotes, either, to be quite honest. They're an underdog, certainly, but they've quietly asserted themselves all seaosn long as one of the few teams in NHL history who managed to chalk up a season as successful as this one has been for them where their success is greater than the sum of their parts. If scoring by committee is ever to really take a team anywhere, it's likely to take the 'Yotes rather far this year IMO.

I will never count the Penguins out especially considering the heat between them and the Senators.

They shall have a tough time. Detroit has the lore behind them, however, history is history, and this is now. Detroit is old up front, and shit in the back. I was worried for them in the playoffs, but after seening them go, Phoenix will advance in this round.

I doubt the Sens have anything to do with the fact that any team that employs Crosby, Fleury and Malkin is capable of not just stealing a series, but dominating it if they see fit to.

honestly, i think the caps have no shot. i dont think there offense can overcome not only the bad goaltending, but bad defense. Offense wins games, defense wins championships. That why i think it will either be the devils (if they get past the flyers) or the pens if they miss the devils.

The avs looked great yesterday on D, so they also have a shot.

The Pens have a great shot. They have the best player in the word. They have another great player in Malkin. They have good complimentary players. The last two games Fleury has been playing great. There defense is hitting and yeah both Malkin and Crosby are on FIRE...
