Finally...the Rock has come back to Monday Night Raw, but will he bring the ratings with him? After two weeks of pre-recorded nonsense and some catastrophic ratings hits for the WWE, they look to bounce back with the first Raw of the new year, live from the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Florida!

When WWE Champion CM Punk had an unexpected knee surgery in early December, he was taken off the TLC pay-per-view card, and his title match against the Ryback was put on hold. The status of Punk's knee remained in question for the remainder of the month, as he showed up each week to verbally assault whichever city he happened to bless with his presence. However, last week on Raw Vince McMahon himself came down to the ring and told Punk that, awaiting an evaluation from WWE medical staff, Ryback would get his TLC match in the main event of tonight's episode. And if the WWE Champion couldn't answer the call to action, well then, Paul Heyman would have to step into the ring for him! Last week we got word during Main Event, and again on Friday Night's episode of Smackdown, that CM Punk will indeed defend the WWE Championship tonight against Ryback, and that match will indeed be TLC.

As if a TLC match for the WWE title isn't enough to kick off 2013, WWE has promised the return of the Rock, live in his backyard of Tampa Bay, FL. This will be the first time since Raw 1,000, where the Rock announced his Royal Rumble claim to the WWE Championship, that the Great One will appear before the WWE Universe. But what news will he bring to Raw tonight? Will he get involved in CM Punk's title match? Will he have words for his WrestleMania 28 opponent John Cena? We do know that Rock said in a recent interview, that tonight on Raw the build towards his WrestleMania 29 match will begin. What that means...we'll have to find out on Raw tonight!

Thus far, no other matches have been confirmed for tonight's Raw. However, WWE.com is teasing further interaction between John Cena and Big E. Langston, as well as revenge from Mr. Money in the Bank, Dolph Ziggler. World Heavyweight Champion The Big Show is also scheduled to appear, and the .com article suggests he will host another challenge tonight on Raw, with Alberto del Rio's name being thrown around to accept.

Several teases for the Royal Rumble match itself have been offered by WWE this week too, as they wonder if any "other World Champions" will throw their name into the list. Also being teased is a "out of left field pick" that may be "from the shadows". We get it WWE, you really want to tease us with the Undertaker...

Tune in for Monday Night Raw, live on the USA Network at 8/7c!

Please, Rock come back with the $800 shirts and attitude that made you the best Samoan wrestler of all time. Even surpassing Sika.

No more dressing like some middle school gym teacher.

Have no mercy on everyone and anyone. I'd like to hear you rip apart Cena one more time, just for S&G,

Still DVR'ing it. Looking forward to the BCS Championship a little more.

I hate Notre Dame so much I refuse to watch them lose. That's hatred.

Much more excited for Rocky's return. I'm hoping for some Rocky/Paul Heyman interaction. No one calls Paul Heyman fat and worthless quite as well as The Rock.

Still very eager to see what Rock meant by tonight starting the build with his WrestleMania opponent. Does that mean, he'll be getting Punk at Mania? Ryback? Lesnar? Could mean nothing.

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL at WWE teasing Tampa with a Rock promo, and then kicking off Raw with John Cena. Oh god...my sides hurt from laughing.
