Theres a couple of things wrong with this idea. First of all having Orton beat Taker at Mania would definately turn him heel. WWE wants him face and they're having enough trouble keeping him that way since the whole Christian debacle. Second, Orton wouldnt gain much from beating Taker at Mania. Hes as much of a household name now as hes ever going to be. If he hasnt "made it" with his most recent title reign then he probably never will. Third, Taker deserves to retire with the streak in tact. Really, he has 1 or 2 more Manias to go. Hes obviously going to get a rematch with Triple H and then he might give some rookie or midcarder a match just so he can get a descent push. This year would be great for a Taker vs Wade since Wade's an incredible talent whos being horribly misused. But to answer your question, we already had Orton vs Taker, and it was great back then, but it wouldnt work now.

I'd have to agree with some of the previous posters - guys like Orton and Cena certainly don't need the rub from ending the streak, and at this point if you're booking a guy as a face, you CAN'T put him in a WM match with 'Taker and expect him to be cheered. I think the overwhelming majority of fans WANT to see the streak stay alive.

That said - if there's a guy who's right on the cusp of being the "next big thing" as a heel, and ending the streak would absolutely cement that status, then you go ahead and put him over in the match. Let's say Barrett is right on the verge come January 2012 - then I could see it. Otherwise, you're just wasting something historic for the sake of getting a little bit of heel rub on a guy who doesn't really need it.

Absolutly not, I'm gonna have to agree with a lot of other people here and say the Undertaker's streak should never be broken , and it certainly shouldn't end at the hands of Randy Orton. He doesn't need it and though it could boost the careers of someone like Ted Dibiase or Wade Barrett, there are other ways they could be elevated.

The streak should never be broken ,it is part of Undertaker's legacy, and the perfect way for Undertaker to retire is to go out of next Wrestlemania 20-0.

C'mon guys. The streak is going to end. He about lost to HHH and that was a setup for undertaker to loose. (because he barley made it out of wm) I Understand you all are big undertaker fans (i'm one too) and i understand that 90% of you are not looking at it as being a business, but once undertaker retires undefeated, that's it, that star power is gone, no new stars like rock; stone cold will be born form the undertakers flame, his flame would just go out instead igniting another person torch.

I Will make everyone of you that are disagreeing with me eat crow if he loose's his last wm match and i will come here and eat crow if he wins his last wm match

But if VKM lets undertaker win, then vkm needs to retire himself form any major business decisions

Ok, none of us know when Undertaker is going to retire, it could be at WM28, it is probably most likely at WM30 which is a huge landmark. Infact, it could go beyond WM30 and he may just return every year to put the streak on the line!

But lets say Taker has 3 Wrestlemanis left, - 28, 29 and 30. Who REALISTICALLY would you like to see him face. Let's be serious aswell, Sting is contacted to TNA and has said he will retire there, Lesnar is at UFC and has no desire to return at the moment.

Wrestlemania 28

HIAC vs Mick Foley
Foley is not under contract with WWE, but he is a free agent so it is definately possible he will return in some capacity. With Rock headlining the show, how about his good friend Mick Foley joining him on the card to take on Taker in a HIAC match? Remember how brutal the last one was? Ok, it won't be remotely close to that in terms of excitement or brutality but who wouldn't want to watch this! It's a fresh opponent for Taker in terms of Wrestlemania and Foley hasn't been in WWE for 2/3 years now.

Wrestlemania 29

vs John Cena
Hopefully by this time Cena will be a heel. I won't hold my breath but if he is, hopefully he will be like the Brock Lesnar dominant type that goes through all the opposition until he is left with only Taker to beat. If Cena is a heel, it makes it easier for him to lose. The 2 biggest names currently in the company square off. Main Event material and a match we haven't seen for years.

Wrestlemania 30

vs The Rock
Wrestlemania 30 is a landmark and it needs a huge main event. And what is bigger than The Great One trying to end the streak? Never faced off at WM, another fresh fued for Taker. Rock says he is never leaving, so I expect appearences here and there until he retires. Again Taker goes over, but retires this very night, hell you could even have both them of retire officially.

HBK, HBK and... HBK!

Nah, Im not too sure about this. Id like to see another Foley vs Taker match but it would never live up to their past classic encounters. Of course, Sting would be a good candidate.. but I dont know how realistic that choice may be.

Im not a huge Undertaker fan or a fan of the Streak, and honestly, there is no one on the current active roster that would make me want to debate about who the Undertaker will face next year... let alone the next three years. So, with that in mind... Id like to see Sting, Foley and John Cena all get defeated by Undertaker at WrestleMania.

Can't see him having any more matches to be honest, maybe one more match if we're lucky... but going with your idea:

WM28 - Wade Barrett. Ideally Barrett will have been given the push he deserves by then and will look a credible threat for 'taker, all they need for the buildup is one attack on the undertakers return and then HHH to book it should he be running the company by then. It would ultimately end up with Barrett being beaten convincingly by Taker.

WM29 - HHH. For the Barrett feud to work HHH would have to make a deal about giving up his chance at Taker that year and that could leave to a match between HHH and Barrett at Summerslam or another ppv during the year. Then when Taker makes his return for 29 HHH could demand his 2nd(3rd really) chance at the streak. It could be a Hell In A Cell match or something similar, but with it being HHH it wouldnt need as many high spots etc as a match v someone like Mick Foley.

WM30 - Kane in a buried alive or casket match. By this time Kane would also be retiring probably and therefore it could be the ultimate final showdown between the two monsters from hell. I think the best way to book it would be to give Kane his biggest push ever and have him dominate everything for a while, only for Taker to come back to finally finish what he started all those years ago when he created the monster of Kane. Maybe even bring back Paul Bearer if he's still living and healthy for a while. It could end with Taker finally beating Kane one last time and if its a casket match, wheeling him to the back... never to be seen again!!

I never got why people want to see jericho vs taker so bad at mania. Yes, it would be a good match but part of thrill of mania is maybe taker would finally have his streak broke and jericho wouldnt be a threat to that at all. Right now with current stars you basically either need to do a rematch with HHH or Cena those are only two that would be considered threats to takers streak and have big match feel to it

WM 28 - HHH, while HHH is still in a decent condition i think this match could and probably will better the first encounter they had. personally i think that the ratings will be helped by the success of WM27 and if it was left until WM29 or even further i think the interest in this match would be lost. Would love to see this match in a HIAC match as these 2 are specialised in this style.

WM 29 - John Cena. i would love to see this match! but it will only happen if 1 of 2 things happen. either john cena drops out of the main event picture or undertaker makes a full return and is an actual contender for the championship. although i doubt either of these 2 will ever happen would still be a great match to watch.

WM 30 - Kane. The big red monster vs the deadman. would only hope that these 2 powerhouses could put on a great match for the undertaker and possibly kane to walk out on. again for this to happen i would like to see kane start to win some matches.. at the moment he is getting beat left right and center by all of the superstars currently in the main event picture. kane would have to regain the 'sidistic monster' that he is so well known for for this match to feel as if there is an even chance for both superstars to get the win

BUT IMO the wwe will never let the undertakers streak be broken, ever. no matter who he is up against he will never lose at the biggest stage of them all. it will be the one thing that will be attatched to the undertakers legacy forever and no one else will ever match this record.

thoughts?

WM 28: Chris Jericho- Jericho and Undertaker have wrestled each other during Jericho last WWE run. A big PPV main event match between two of the best ever with solid time could eclipse any Undertaker match he has had at WM. Everyone knows Jericho is the best at maximizing his opponents and a match against Undertaker would be insane at WM.

WM 29: CM Punk- CM Punk at this time should be solidified as a true Main Event player and his could go for "ending the streak because I am the best" angle. After the showing Punk had with Cena at MITB, he still has "it" and if Taker is able to perform at a solid level this could be a solid match.

By this time I have no solid clue because I think he has at least two more WM matches in him. D Bryan or Dolph Ziggler should get a shot at this time and send Taker off with a loss. A win for both of these men would forever establish their character.

WM28: I would like to see Alberto Del Rio vs Undertaker aslong as Del Rio is built back up as a maineventer and looks like he's at the level where he could take the streak. This would be a really good match IMO as Del Rio has had some amazing matches as has the Undertaker.

WM29: CM Punk vs Undertaker would be a really good match and now that Punk looks like a proper maineventer and looks like he could have a better story and match with undertaker than when they were on Smackdown.

WM30: I would go with Cena vs Undertaker since both men could put on a good match and with Cena being a huge draw and the Undertaker being huge draw that would be the perfect match for making money.

I thought it was already 99% confirmed he was working 1 more match at the next mania to complete 20 - 0.

If that is the case that rules out Cena.

I assume that also rules out Taker v HHH 3

Taker aint ever loosing and therefore there is no point in a young dude going under him. Seems likely it will be some main event type guy trying again and loosing.

I can see Mania being:
Rock v Cena
Punk v Austin
Taker v Sting

Ok I know I know.. Sting wont do it but even he said he thought about it. I doubt he signed a long term deal with TNA. It would also make him go down in history being on that potential card.

Sting is huge but until he does WWE he will never be legendary.

I'm going on a limb here I don't think Taker will return until Mania 30, he's shaved his head recently, he was pretty much taken out on a strecher he pretty much looked done, so I'm basing my theory on this, I hope not but I don't see Taker returning unless he's willing to go on until Mania 30. If he's willing to go 22-0 than I see him facing Barrett (28) Orton (29) and Cena (30) or Orton (28) and Barrett (29).

Wrestlemania 28-Sheamus- as far as I can remember these two have never meet face to face. being in a Wrestlemania match against the undertaker could be a good push for Sheamus to be back in main event status( if he isnt back yet) and I think the promos could be done well with undertaker showing up at random scaring the hell out of Sheamus.

Wrestlemania 29- CM Punk- Punk is a good worker and could make the best out of this match. they can also do good promos off of each other.

Wrestlemania 30- John Cena- cant remember this two ever being in a real feud against but i went a few years of not watching. it just seems fitting the phenom goes out destroying the face of the WWE. hopefully in MSG if WWE follows the ten year formula they have been doing so i can personally see John Cena lose.

Honorable Mentions- The Rock Or Stone Cold- more Stone Cold than the Rock just think it would be an awesome match promo wise and working and could give either wrestler a real retirement match.

I find it hard to pick three but for the sake of the thread I will try and do it.

In no particular order..

Undertaker Vs Mankind/Mick Foley
- One of the greatest fueds in WWE history that never produced a match on the grandest stage of them all. I am fully aware both wrestlers are long past their prime but the style both wrestlers have means it could still be a top draw match. Having Paul Bearer at ringside in some form or other would only be proper in a match featuring these two and I really hope Paul is involved in The Undertakers last ever match in the WWE. Same goes for Kane.. perhaps the "brothers" going at it has been done to death now but at least have the big red machine around in some capacity. I am almost certain a match like this would not put the streak in any danger but it would be soaked in nostalgia and for entertainment value only. I would love to see it happen but am certain many would put it down as two old dogs on their last legs doing what they did over 10 years ago but slower. Nothing wrong with that in my opinion..

Undertaker Vs CM Punk - A totally different approach to a match up than the Mick Foley one I chose. Unlike the last one I believe this one would put the streak in doubt and that is why I would like to see it happen. The Undertaker has toyed with putting over "deserving" young talent by allowing them to end the streak in the past so I am sure the idea would come up again here. CM Punk is very entertaining and recent events have opened up a door which if he carries on walking through could cement his name in pro wrestling history as a legend. He has both in and out of ring ability and is very "deserving" if anybody of defeating The Undertaker at Wrestlemania. With that in mind I am a huge Undertaker fan and would love for the streak to remain intact whilst still making CM Punk look great which is definitely possible.

The Undertaker Vs Chris Jericho - Jericho models himself on HBK and always wants to prove himself to be better than the heart break kid... what better way to do this than do something Micaels could not and end the streak. Chris has done it all as far as Championship belts go.. he has been WWE Champion, World Heavyweight champion, Undisputed Champion, IC Champion, European Champion, Tag Team Champion, Hardcore Champion. So bringing an end to the streak would be just another achievement in a very long list of honours. If he were to win the Royal Rumble before hand after making a suprise return during the 30 man bout and somehow exchange the title shot for a shot at the streak this could be quite an interesting match up. I am pretty sure though just like a match with Mick Foley..a match with Jericho would not end the streak.

I doubt he would last 3 Wrestlemania's, he barely made it through this one. But here are my choices, if he WERE to be in action for 3 years.

WM28 - Chris Jericho
In Jericho's latest run in the WWE, we saw a feud between these two. But we never saw them wrestle at Wrestlemania. This would be another historic match to add to the Streak's Collection.

WM29 - Mick Foley
We all know what happened in the HIAC match. This would be a way for Foley to get his vengeance. Another classic bout to add to the streak.

WM30 - John Cena
The WWE's poster boy vs. Wrestlemania's most prized possession. A perfect way to send Undertaker off into retirement. The stipulation wouldn't be a Career match, but I have a feeling that in his last WM, he'd announce his retirement. Another match that everybody wants to see.

For me, it ultimately depends upon what the fate of The Streak is ultimately going to be. I don't think The Undertaker is going to be around for 3 more WrestleMania events. I might be wrong but it's mostly just a feeling that I've got. There are so few challenges left for him, one of which would be John Cena but Cena is already locked to go against The Rock at WrestleMania 28.

If the idea is for The Streak to come to an end, which means Taker's last match will be at a WrestleMania, then maybe it should happen sooner rather than later. If they're going to end The Streak, then it needs to be someone to whom can truly benefit from being the one to say that he was the one who not only ended The Streak but "killed" The Undertaker. The two top candidates in WWE for that I think would be either The Miz or CM Punk. Both of these guys are young and both of them are still new to the main event picture. Personally, I'd prefer Punk at this moment in time because it'd simply be a much bigger draw I think.

I'm a fan of both Punk & Miz but Punk is white hot right now. He's the most talked about person, place or thing in wrestling and people are waiting to see what ultimately happens with him. He just defeated John Cena in what will most likely go down as a classic match and I have a feeling that they'll do an angle in which Triple H "resigns" Punk and he's reinstated as WWE Champion. If that occurs, I think it'd be cool to bring Taker back, have him win the Royal Rumble and challenge Punk for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania 28. Again, that's all if the idea is for The Streak to end.

WrestleMania 28- The Undertaker vs. Sheamus vs. Drew McIntyre vs. Wade Barrett

This match serves four purposes. First off, The Undertaker might not be in tip-toe condition to carry a whole match on his own, so he'll have three up-and-coming great wrestlers to help him go through it. Secondly, NO ONE believes The Undertaker is going to lose at Mania, but in a Fatal 4 Way, he doesn't even need to get pinned to lose. Most fans will be wondering "Can Taker outlast 3 other men?" There would actually be suspense! The third purpose it serves is that it gets the three of these guys in a top feud and a top match at Mania. And the fourth is that it fixes the "list" by adding 3 guys to cancel out all the rematches.

WrestleMania 29- The Undertaker vs. John Cena

The whole story here would be that Undertaker knows he doesn't have many years left in the tank and he'll be damned if he goes away without facing John Cena at WrestleMania. John Cena, as confident as always, puts up a fight, but loses in what is billed as the "biggest match of his career". Cena should dominate the last 3 minutes of the match, but when he goes for the Attitude Adjustment, Undertaker locks in the Hell's Gate and Cena immediately taps. Cena walks away in shame and this leads to a slow build to his heel turn. He keeps the same goody ol' poster-boy gimmick, but as a HEEL. It would be time to turn him heel so it wouldn't be as fantastical as you may think.

WrestleMania 30- The Undertaker vs. The Rock

Hopefully, The Rock will be up for it. I was trying to come up with any other name to replace The Rock, but there isn't any opponent better than him. Foley, Angle, Jericho, Punk and Lesnar would be great and all, but The Rock is the only one that will make people doubt if Taker is losing. Taker wins and rides off into the sunset.

1. ZACK RYDER 19-1 WWWYK...im just joking

1. WM28= the undertaker vs goldberg
they both have that mma/boxing similarities

2.the undertaker vs booker t
booker t can do the spineroonie then taker will become jealous and taker will try spineroonie and break his neck, then bookA t can pin him

3. the undertaker vs masked kane vs mankind HIAC
in order for this match to go well u have to bring mankind back and also kane's mask, undertaker is already the dead man, which would be a perfect flashback match.

WM 28 - Undertaker V Kevin Nash. I could think of the story like Kevin Nash Respects Taker for always being on Contract to WWE with only having 1 match a Year and making megabucks. Nash wants to Retire Taker so that he would get more money from the WWE. That would be Awesome.

WM 29 - Raven would be too awesome but won't happen. So ill Pick Christian.

WM 30 - Daniel Bryan.

WrestleMania 28: CM Punk.

Punk is supposedly pissed off that the main event of WrestleMania 28 is going to be Cena vs Dwayne. Well, the only way that he will be able to overshadow both men is if he does something that no man has been able to do so far: defeat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Punk will probably be the third hottest wrestler heading into WrestleMania, after Rock and Punk, and so it makes sense for him to be in the second hottest match of the year.

WrestleMania 29: The Miz

I just want The Undertaker to build up as many young guys as possible before going out. Miz is being talked of as the future of this company and a show stealing match with the deadman would certainly not harm him. I'd set it up as Miz still being upset at him not being fully accepted in the locker room. Maybe you could have some guys refer to his title reign as a flash in the pan. Miz goes into this match wanting to set the record straight once and for all by beating Undertaker. I know this sounds somewhat similar to the Punk storyline but I think it's the best way to go. Maybe WWE can do a better job.

WrestleMania 30: John Cena.

Needs to happen once for the sake of both men and the fans as well. I'd book it as Undertaker announcing his retirement beforehand and Cena coming out with his usual speech about the one match that every single fan wants to see. Wouldn't be a really hard story to book.

Couple of possible choices here.....

Kane(a 3rd time i think could go either way)

HHH(hope not.....but if so...it makes sense 4 HHH 2win the 3rd one)

Alberto Del Rio

Wade Barrett

Sheamus

Chris Jericho

CM Punk(i think doubtful)

The Miz(if moved to SD! somehow)

Big Zeke(if turned heel, there's a possibility)

Randy Orton(If done right,this could be EPIC...a 2nd time with a FAR different Orton.Challenging 2c who's best...leader of the SD! locker room type thing...MAYBE)

Vince Mcmahon

Btw...i agree with greek zero..guys. I would love 2c it.. but i HIGHLY doubt he would even make it 2 TWO WM's!!. I think this year and his 20th match will indeed be his last!!!

When the Undertaker comes back, I expect him to be back for ONE more Wrestlemania. Ending it with 20 matches seems like the right number. With that said, I think that he should LOSE the match. Thats right, because it could be said that the person that beat The Undertaker has made him rest in peace. Unless we get a dream match (Jericho, Cena, Rock, Austin, Mick Foley, or a Triple H rematch), the streak needs to be used to push someone to unearthly levels. Here are my possible matches.

Undertaker Vs. The Miz
The Miz is one of the future stars of the WWE. If he bulks up a little bit, he could look like a legitimate threat. He is currently on the upper midcard, and when he held the title, many complained that he looked weak overall. A win over Taker would be ultimate bragging rights for The Most Must See Champion. It would guarantee a spot in the Main Event for him.

Undertaker vs. Sheamus
To my knowledge, they haven't had any in-ring confrontation (correct me if i'm wrong), so it would be very fresh. Sheamus could prove to be unafraid of Taker in the end, and a win for him would also solidify his spot in the Main-Event.

Undertaker vs. CM Punk
Out of all of them, this is the one I really want to see. Both are exceptional at their craft, and would put on the match of the night at Wrestlemania. The WWE is really trying to push CM Punk into the Steve Austin Anti Hero role. They've done a amazing job so far, but to make him a living legend, have Triple H assign him the Undertaker at Wrestlemania, and after he beats him, he proves even more that he is the best in the company.

WM28 : Taker Vs ....GOLDUST
Seriously , I'm not Joking
Both Started Wrestling in The Same Time Approximately
and Goldust Can use his Gold messages and his mind games against taker's
and if goldust had the luck to even be pushed and won a wwe title (near impossible ) he could defend it against taker in a Casket Match , and if you remember in the 90s taker met Goldust for IC Championship in A Casket Match in Which Goldust Won After Interference Of ...I don't remember
but anyway if you thought about it it's going to be a great WM Main Event
and the biggest push in the history of Goldust
WM29 :Taker Vs Jericho
Jericho is Seriously GOOOOOOOOD on Mic and could talk himself into match
and that would be Coool because it has never happened before and i think there is good Chemistry between him and taker could have his revenge for losing WHC back in Elimination Chamber 2010
WM30 : Taker Vs either Kevin Nash or Christian
Vs Nash : Great Main Event , 2 Giants Capable of doing moves that normal giants Can't do , although it's difficult to imagine it but you see Nash is out of TNA , and he got a great Ovation back in RR 2011 , and he was working on going back to TV , I think he's coming back in early 2012 and making a name for himself and getting a WWE Championship or WHC Reign where he dominates the roster till he faces taker
Vs Christian : A Revenge For Edge For What Taker Did at WM24 in a Hell in a Cell Match For World Title and Christian has the momentum before Match ,
and almost gets an upset win at WM

I believe 2012 Wrestlemania might be Taker's last one (barring some future special appearance).
I'm not sure against who could it be...
Triple H would have been an excellent choice for his last match, but now it would be a bit redundant (but still possible).
Going against a younger wrestler is nice, but I wouldn't like this on his last WM, nor I believe it would be good to have him lose.

So this leave few options... and the one I believe would be best is, actually, Kane. They have a lot of keyfabe together, so the match could have a really nice storyline behind it. It could even be a Hell in a Cell match, which would be quite iconic. Brother versus brother, fighting in their mutual favorite arena, for the last chance to break the Undertaker streak - or to maintain it to eternity.
The problem is that Kane would need to be pushed like crazy, possibly even more than his 2010 WHC push. And, speaking of which, they could even bring Paul Bearer again for the feud leading up to the match (but leaving him out of the match).
