You Can Take A Swing At My Wrestlemania XXXI LD

I'm really hoping Lesnar doesn't get the title back. At the end of the day, you can only see him suplex people to death so many times before it starts to lose some charm. They weren't there yet, but it was reaching that point. Let the matches be like the Punk match or the triple threat at the Rumble: he gets in trouble but goes Beast Mode to come back. Seeing them count suplexes and F5s gets dull after a bit.

Oh and Big Show won World War 3 96, despite JBL saying he never won a battle royal and mention him being "runner up" in World War 3.

Rollins/Lesnar/Orton or Reigns. Or it could a Fatal 4-Way like Killjoy says.

But I could totally see Lesnar winning back the title at Extreme Rules.

I agree, I think we are going to get a fatal 4way at Extreme Rules. Orton just beat Rollins and he is never got his rematch, if they still remember lol.

I don't think Brock will win back the title, but doing a fatal 4way allows him to lose without getting pinned.

Build a Roman and Rollins feud until Summerslam and let him finally win the title there. Lesnars great but between his limited dates and WWE'S inability to balance those dates it would be wise to keep the title off of him. Give him big matches, make him a special attraction but make the main attraction something else.

It was announced that he was cashing in to make the match a triple threat.

wwe ran a storyline where Bryan couldn't cash in on Henry because Henry was unable to compete, yet rollins can magically insert himself into a match that's already going on????.....Alrighty then!!!

I'm sure Heyman is gonna go ballistic tomorrow night.

Thoughts on Sting/HHH:

- I friggin' loved it
- Sting should have won
- I marked the hell out when DX came out
- I marked out even HARDER when NWO came out
- It became overbooked with Shawn Michaels
- Sting should have won
- It was kind of dumb that they turned it into WCW vs WWE, even though I loved every minute of it
- It was the high point of the show
- Sting should have won
- I loved all of it regardless

This is getting overlooked in all the mayhem, but the HHH-Sting match contained another fantasy moment: Shawn Michaels superkicked Sting in the middle of the ring at Wrestlemania. HBK-Sting had been another dream match for years.

glad to see the main event go off without a hitch, I knew fans wouldn't hijack it as so many here worried they would. What a great physical match. I would have liked to have seen a winner between Lesnar and Reigns although it seemed like Lesnar had it all won. Reigns took an ass kicking. What a beautiful legit beatdown. You don't need a ring technician to "call a match" when it looks that good.

Rollins really robbed that main event, his heat should be tremendous coming off of it.

I'll always wonder if Reigns had a comeback in him. I'm really interested in how a Reigns - Lesnar II would look, way down the line.

Little overbooked in my opinion(especially that HHH/Sting part from robot entrance to that finish) but still a great show. For most awfull build they had in like forever, they pulled great show. :)

Come home from airport, accidentally read ending of main event when I just tried to look at a non-spoiler listing of match ratings.....Fuuuuuuuck. Oh well, I already know what happens, don't care. Downloading the show right now, should be watching it within 20 minutes or so. Had to leave about midway through the Orton/Rollins match, which was pretty solid before I had to leave. Sounds like a pretty good show from what I've heard.

I have yet for someone to present to me an actual REASON as to why the Rollins deal was OMG THE GREATEST FUCKING THING FUCKING EVER FUCK OH MY FUCKING GOD YES, other than "DUDE HE FUCKING CASHED IN"

Yes, I know that. Why is that so great?

"BECAUSE DUDE HE FUCKING CASHED IN"

Ok. I get it. Why is that good?

"BECAUSE ROLLINS CASHED IN MAN CAN YOU BELEIVE IT?@?!"

I cant wait for in two weeks when the same people are hating RAW because the same 30 minute Rollins/Authority promo we have heard since last spring keeps opening indefinite amounts of RAWs.

The fuck was the point of ending that Lesnar reign that way?

I think this Mania made me angry because it was *just* short of being one of the all time greats, held back by a few real weird booking decisions, and the lack of one truly great match. Shit, matches of the night were a draw between the ladder match and Lesnar - Reigns. People will point to Orton and Rollins, but really wasnt any different than what you get on a random episode of RAW.

I was fucking infuriated about Sting and Triple H. The overbooking was fine, by why in the seven fucking hells do you FINALLY get Sting after 14 years, only to marginalize him, and then have him LOSE the fucking payoff match? Mind boggling.

Only slightly more than Undertaker winning. What, exactly, does that do for anyone?

That should be the tagline of this show.

"What, exactly, does that do for anyone?"

B+. Every match was solid to very good, and production was top notch. Top ten, maybe top 8 mania for sure. Doesnt belong in the Pantheon with 17, 19, 24, 26, and 30.

I think it's more to do with WWE not going with Vince's pet project in Roman Reigns. Though it's scary that Rollins is a full-blown Triple H work being the original NXT guy and all. It says something positive about WWE's future. Even if Raw will still suck.

I also didn't mind the musical guest for once. Well placed on the show, she looked good, they did a decent job and didnt overstay their welcome.

I took a piss and put my kids down to bed and the song was ending when I came back into the living room. I honestly forgot it even happened.

Sorry, folks, I've watched the ladder match three times now (for some reason) and, on the great pantheon of WrestleMania ladder matches, it is very much bottom rung. Get it? "Bottom rung"? Ladders? Not very good? Yeah, you get it. But no, compare it to Michaels/Ramon from WrestleMania X or TLC II from WrestleMania X7 or any number of better ladder-based spotfests since WrestleMania 21 and it does not come off favourably. I am especially not looking forward to everybody pretending that Dolph Ziggler belongs in the same ring as Daniel Bryan for the next month or so.

Entrance of the night obviously goes to Rusev coming out in a fucking tank. That was nothing less than incredible. Whereas most of the entrances walked the line between cheesy and spectacular and then fell over into cheesy territory and emerged on the other side with horrible cheese burns - I'm looking at Bray Wyatt and Triple H in particular - that entrance was perfect for Rusev. Rocky IV is one of my favourite movies and the only thing that could make this a more fitting tribute is if Cena delivers Rocky's "Everybody can change" speech after he beats Rusev at Extreme Rules. I'd go so far as to employ actors - or NXT talent if you don't want to spend too much money - to pose as members of Putin's cabinet to stand up and applaud Cena for never giving up.

Match of the night probably was the Rusev match or, if unpredictability's more your thing, the main event. I was on the edge of my seat (well, bed) for basically the entire final match. Kudos to Roman. I mean, literally anyone else could have gone out there and got ragdolled by Lesnar, but anybody else didn't - he did. Looks like he got a few good shots of his own in as well.

If we get my Bryan versus Lesnar match at some point in the coming months...

The musical performance was probably less torturous than the Rock/Triple H/Rousey segment. It was a great segment, only somebody had hit the slow motion button and it took at least three times as long as it should have. Yes, I know they were buying time, but it's almost as if there were two really entertaining matches on the pre-show that could have been on the main card instead.

I was fucking infuriated about Sting and Triple H. The overbooking was fine, by why in the seven fucking hells do you FINALLY get Sting after 14 years, only to marginalize him, and then have him LOSE the fucking payoff match? Mind boggling.

Thank you, NorCal. This was a really good WrestleMania - one which I was expecting to be decent at best. But having Sting lose puts a huge black mark on it. It's like they wanted the match to be a microcosm of WCW and brought Vince Russo in to book the last minute of it. We're only fortunate that we didn't have Michael Cole go, "Th-that's not in the script, folks." A swerve for swerve's sake. There is absolutely no reason that Triple H should have won that match. Of all the matches Triple H won but shouldn't have - against Booker T, against CM Punk, against Brock Lesnar - this was truly the king of kings.

By the by, if they were going for the whole "Get anyone of significance out there" thing - and they clearly were - they should have had Flair come out to counteract Michaels. It would have made more sense than the nWo helping Sting, which is like having a gazelle help out a lion.

And Sting should have fucking won.

Good show though. I might even watch Raw for the first time in a year.

Pretty much everything has been said about the show that can be said. But I will say this; the fans seemed to be right into the show from start to finish. They booed Reigns, yeah, but it was so refreshing to see a crowd that actually cared about what they were seeing. Compare them to the horrible smarky crowd at Royal Rumble and the dead crowd at Fastlane and this is street's ahead.
