I was fucking infuriated about Sting and Triple H. The overbooking was fine, by why in the seven fucking hells do you FINALLY get Sting after 14 years, only to marginalize him, and then have him LOSE the fucking payoff match? Mind boggling.
Only slightly more than Undertaker winning. What, exactly, does that do for anyone?
I guess it all comes down to where they go from here. You of all guys should know it's not always correct to judge things too quickly: maybe they have something in mind in terms of a bigger picture for Sting, and we simply don't know the details yet. If this turns out to be Sting's one and only match in WWE (which I seriously doubt) then I would agree with you. But if it ends up going somewhere which makes Sting look great at the end of the day, it's all good. I thought Sting looked great last night, under the circumstances. Way better than most people expected I think.
In terms of Taker, it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to footnote his streak by losing back to back, to Bray Wyatt of all people. He simply had to win that match, and I don't think it damaged Wyatt at all.
I thought last night's PPV was awesome. Lots of people are never satisfied, but I think a lot was accomplished last night. Everyone wanted to see Daniel Bryan have a Wrestlemania moment again, and he certainly did, albeit with a secondary belt. And everyone has been crying for ages about the lack of prestige of the undercard belts. How better to do it than to give the two mid card titles to Daniel Bryan and John Cena? People want Cena to step away from the main event scene. Done.
The two decrepit senior citizens looked better than everyone thought in my opinion. The tag match and the Andre the Giant match were both meh, but who cares, they were only pre-show matches anyway. Last year the winner of the Battle Royal went nowhere with it and this year will be no different, and Show seems like a logical choice to win this pretty much meaningless trophy.
Rollins/Orton was great. So was the main event, and the end result of the main event was terrific for all three guys. The divas were the divas, no great expectations there anyway. Rusev didn't look weak in defeat, nor did Sting, Wyatt, Lesnar, or Reigns.
A little, strange seeing Sting, Taker, and Wyatt come out while it was still daylight, but that's nitpicking. The Rousey/Rock/Steph/Triple H thing was a little long, but it was filler, it was for main stream attention, and it achieved both and I enjoyed it even if it was a little long.
Considering the lack of build I thought it was a great show. Not quite as good as last year, but way better than what most thought in my opinion.
