And now the negatives...
I dont mean for this to be longer but it is just the way that it is going to be I'm afraid.
Constructive criticism is always welcome, but you don't have to boast about it by saying you don't mean for it to be longer but it will be. Thats like saying. "I don't mean to bitch, but I am." (which noone in their right mind would say that, when they knew all along they were going to complain)
Everest not winning was a bad call. And through yet another screwy Dynasty ending too. Comparisons to HHH 2003-04 in my eyes are justified. Sad but true because the timing was perfect.
(Let me add that I guess creative have something in mind to do with Will vs Rios. I think Dynasty could have had a longer lifespan but i understand the decision to do the break up angle in time for their "Wrestlemania" PPV)
This is one part fan, one part critic. When you're a 'fan' saying you felt it was a screw-job.. then we (creative) did our job perfectly because it means you dispise and hate Joseph Rios as Champion even more, which is a great thing.
When you're a 'critic' and you say its a bad call, that means you not only are bad mouthing the RP that Rios put forward, but you're accepting that Everest had no say or agreement in what happened. So unless you had a private conversation with Everest (which I'm sure you didn't, since his agreement of the situation is a PM sitting in my inbox) then please be careful how you address the situation.
In other words, please don't act as if you're speaking on behalf of someone. Unless they want you to.
This is probably the bit that I am personally most annoyed at.
I know Grand Mystique looks like Rey but I can't believe how he has been used in the past couple of weeks. In the last Meltdown match, he was doing top rope leg drops etc and in the biggest WZCW match yet, he has two moves before he gets eliminated; a 619 and a hurracanrana!
I fully apologize to you for the misuse of your character. And I'll explain this to you, as well as EVERYONE ELSE.
When "I" write matches that involve several Superstars, I don't keep up each Superstar's profile and stop 50 plus times in between, to look at their profile to make sure I'm adding each of their specific moves. Instead,
what I do when I write.. is I take their wrestler description (picture) and invision that guy facing their opponents wrestler description.
G.M., your description was Rey Mysterio. I've since been reinformed that you originally wanted M.V.P. with a mask. So hopefully David can work his magic for you.
Until then
I fully give you the backing to write your own matches. Since you're upset in how your character is being used through his matches, unless its a huge match that only involves you in a quarter of it, you can write your own matches, so there won't be anymore trouble with how you're being written about.
HOWEVER I implore to you, if you take this challenge.. as a writer, we'd still respectfully like if you could write other matches for us as well. And when you do write your own, if you take that responsibility, its in that responsibility that you write an equal match instead of making yourself look good.
"I" personally write most all of my own matches, and some big matches for W.Z.C.W. As such, I don't take a biased side in writing my guy over the other. If anything, if you read my matches, I've made Gus look quite powerful over me several times. And thats what I'd hope you can do, if you begin writing your own stuff.
It is not the way i was eliminated that is really getting on my tits here (though it does bug me) but I have to believe that my RP deserved a lot better than that!
First, what bugs you about how you were eliminated? If I recall, it was by a Willennium by the guy who won.. which doesn't make you look bad at all.
Second, your RPs are definately quality filled, however I'm beginning to think you're blurring the lines between RPs and storylines.
Earlier you got upset about storylines deciding the winners/losers. When I can say first hand, if RPs were the main thing that decided the winners/losers, only.. you wouldn't be undefeated.
Thats not me trying to degrade you, and I
FULLY APOLOGIZE to you if you feel it does. I'm just saying, you're contradicting yourself in a lot of ways.
You said you felt your RP deserved better, and in truthfulness, IT DID.. however I wrote a match with 30 different people.. most of which had storylines blurring into the match that I had to keep track of. As a result, I'm sorry that I couldn't focus on any one individual.
It is hard to swallow that I honestly reckon GM got treated like a bit of a jobber here.
A jobber is someone who loses, so by this logic you joined 29 other guys. Its not like you were the only one.
Furthermore, loses DO NOT COUNT in the Lethal Lottery/Royal Rumble type match.. as you weren't pinned, or submitted.
I'm sorry you felt like a jobber, but I'm sure you aren't the only one. Roughly 8 guys got destroyed by Manzo, without ANY offense. Some of those guys were David's.. but hes not complaining, because he understood the storyline and who he was against.
D.C. had quite possibly one of the best RPs out of the whole thing, but he accepted not winning for a different storyline for himself.
I could understand if some sort of future program came out of it but nothing of the sort has happened here.
Once again, I apologize to you if I've offended you with what I say, or the match I wrote. If anything, you're offending me because I took a great deal of time to write that match to the best of my ability, and the first thing I see is someone complaining greatly because they (as 1 outta 30) weren't used in a better role.
Furthermore, I want you to specifically know.. I PUT you in at a later number, because you were a bigger name. Your elimination shouldn't be what you focus on, so much as what you did for the time (short or not) that you were in. YOU GOT IN AN ELIMINATION! How many other people can say that?
An elimination means you're being slightly focused on, and anything but a jobber.
As such, it feels to me (and i dont know how anyone else feels) that stories are being out in advance (which i approve of) regardless of the RP quality being submitted (which i do not like at all.)
This is something I do take offense from. As a member of creative, I personally bust my butt to create good, if not great storylines for everyone involved. And for the 3rd or 4th time I personally apologize to you.. however, for you to say you dislike storylines being laid out.. is you saying..
"I'd rather we didn't have storylines at all, and RPs are the only thing that decided winners and losers."
If thats what you want, then be careful what you ask for.. because that means you'd have to fight A LOT harder, and RP A LOT more before you were even thought of for a title shot of any kind. Why? Because guys like Manzo, Everest, D.C., Rios, Gus, and practically everyone else was here before you.. which means you'd have to work your way up the card.. not just be handed a spot.
G.M.. I personally handed you your spot. I personally backed you to be something big. And I feel offended by what you've said, because you are roughly slapping me in the face for the work that I've done.. all because you got eliminated quickly, from a match that even if RPs were the ONLY deciding factor, you still wouldn't have won.
I am going to PM someone, probably Will, with a program to push the hell out of GM. Not that i believe he (I) is better than anyone else but simply due to the fact that he is probably the only character without a regular fued at the moment.
I got your storyline.. creative now knows about it. As you can tell, you're involved in a MITB (King For A Day) type match. Its up to you, as to where you go.
Because if you don't want me pushing for you in storylines and you strictly wanna rely on your RPs.. thats fine by me. You're a great RPer.. but without storylines, I think a lot of you who complain will find out just how quickly things suck.
If it all goes to plan then it will give GM (and the opponent) something to go for until Kingdom Come (and maybe beyond).
This last statement by you is exactly what I'm refering to. Its your job to focus on yourself. Its
MY job, and the job of the creative staff to focus on EVERYONE.
Its so easy for any one person to say.. "I've sent a storyline in for MY character and whoever my opponent might be." But until you know just how rough it is in creatives shoes to sit down and think out storylines for multiple people.. please don't complain about how creative does their job.
G.M. for the final time.. I don't want you leaving, incase anything I've said offends you. I'm speaking my mind much like you spoke yours. I'm still a big supporter of you, minus your perspective on a few things. I still wanna see you become something big, but you have to understand you aren't just handed "big spots" because you demanded one. I hope this clears up a few things. Thank you.
