WZCW Discussion Thread

Yemrez Reqonic

Lethal Lottery is the biggest opportunity everyone in WZCW gets. You win this you have a chance at the world title. You do well you can make a name for yourself. Look at the past winners.

Now thinking of that your RP was an insult to the match writers as well as the others who wrote RP's. I would rip the RP to shreds if it was a MD/AS RP but for Lethal Lottery? Awful RP, I didn't mark it bottom at the time but I've just re read it there and it's close. Where's Yemrez' zeal to want to win? She's a medal winner, she knows how to win yet can't in WZCW why is that?

For example I'm going to take the first four sentences of your RP to show you something:

We see Yemrez standing in the balcony of a hotel.
- This is quite a common place I have Titus but if you want description build to it. Which hotel? There's plenty in Sydney. Can you see their shitty bridge of the Opera House?

The air was cold yet they felt soul-soothing to Yemrez. - Poorly written and doesn't make sense. Change they to it, that makes sense. "The air was cold, yet that comforted Yemrez. The cold reminded her of home" there we go reason to care.

She drinks a full bottle of water.
Imagine a promo in WWE where someone just drank a full bottle of water, not a sip but a full bottle. A bit absurd right?

There was a bunch load of stress.
Why is there stress? You get to it later but as a description it doesn't work.

The sad thing is this is one of your better RP's and it's awful. The wording is all over and it's not coherent at all.

Tell us about the Godless Pikne. I know Pikne's an Estonian Godless, but not many others do. Expand that in your RPs. It's no wonder your lottery showing was bad. It's more upsetting that you don't bother taking feedback on board when you really need it.
Firstly, thanks a ton for your honest review.

Secondly, thank you so much for feedback after I complained about Yemrez's booking.

Thirdly, if you remember correctly and you should since you're very smart, I lost my original RolePlay. And this was just what I could write in under an hour sitting in my college lab in conditions you don't know and you won't know. To be fair, even if it was my original RolePlay, it would have been awful. I'm consistent in writing awful RolePlays.

Also, thank you for telling me that it's one of my better RolePlays and still awful. As I remember, you told me that you connected to Yemrez emotionally after a long time. Didn't know that an awful RolePlay could make you feel my character.

An insult to match writers as well as other RolePlay writers would have been simply no-showing. If you actually felt insulted by a hard last-minute attempt, I'm sorry to make you feel that I'm insulting you. And to other Creative members as well as match competitors.

Thanks for taking the time to feedback. I know why you did though. To justify how Yemrez was booked at Lottery. You can't justify it unfortunately. And yes, I have tried my best to take feedback. Have even improved. The feedbacks by Gelgarin, Falkon still lie in my private messages. Which I read before writing. But it's okay if you don't want to acknowledge it. Or even if you feel that I ignore feedback. Still, I thank you for your efforts. And apologise for insulting you and everyone in WZCW. Don't worry, Lee. You won't need to suffer my awful RolePlays anymore. Thank you.

The thing is it was the only time there was an emotional connection with Yemrez, still an awful RP.

Regarding Yemrez's booking. She was voted third worst by everyone, what did you expect?

Yemrez comes out sees two giants going out it (everyone else in the ring is knocked out or whatever) so she, being intelligent, decides to let them go at it. This is a face move, not a heel move. A heel would hide under the ring mat or something.

Then she's thrown in the ring by Callie. This puts Callie as a heel who is a former Elite champion. She's better than Yemrez who has achieved nothing in WZCW.

Then what does Yemrez do? She goes and attacks both giants. That's brave but due to the poor voting (and I'm 90% sure I voted you highest, so that says something) you were eliminated.

This is not poor booking for Yemrez, it's you being awful in an RP and we give three potential stories in the short period you're in:
- Yemrez is smart and therefore knowing how to play out things
- Yemrez had an interaction with Callie which then would have been perfect for the Elite league
- Yemrez attacked the monsters. This is a huge face thing to do.

Yemrez Reqonic is in a league for a chance at the Elite title. She didn't deserve to be there with your track record but a chance was given. Instead you threw a hissy fit, again, over how you were booked AND failed to see the bigger picture.

The thing is it was the only time there was an emotional connection with Yemrez, still an awful RP.
Exactly. That's what I said. An awful RolePlay. I didn't know how an awful RolePlay could still connect emotionally.

Regarding Yemrez's booking. She was voted third worst by everyone, what did you expect?
Something better. Third worst is wonderful though.

Yemrez comes out sees two giants going out it (everyone else in the ring is knocked out or whatever) so she, being intelligent, decides to let them go at it. This is a face move, not a heel move. A heel would hide under the ring mat or something.
Intelligent or coward?

Then she's thrown in the ring by Callie. This puts Callie as a heel who is a former Elite champion. She's better than Yemrez who has achieved nothing in WZCW.
Obviously. Callie is better. Achieved nothing in WZCW? Getting in Semifinal of Gold Rush tournament is nothing? Thanks for telling me that. At least, get logical with insults.

Then what does Yemrez do? She goes and attacks both giants.
That's what should've happened in the starting.

That's brave
Exactly.

but due to the poor voting (and I'm 90% sure I voted you highest, so that says something) you were eliminated.
Why voted highest for an awful RolePlay?

This is not poor booking for Yemrez, it's you being awful in an RP
I agree. I'm awful in a RolePlay.

and we give three potential stories in the short period you're in:
Oh. Yeah.

- Yemrez is smart and therefore knowing how to play out things
Or a coward who should have gone straight to fight but didn't.

- Yemrez had an interaction with Callie which then would have been perfect for the Elite league
A heel forces a face to get into the ring. How cool?

- Yemrez attacked the monsters. This is a huge face thing to do.
Yeah. After avoiding them first.

Yemrez Reqonic is in a league for a chance at the Elite title.
Not anymore. Thank God. You don't need to suffer my RolePlays anymore.

She didn't deserve to be there with your track record
Exactly. An awful RolePlay.

but a chance was given.
Wasted. Sorry.

Instead you threw a hissy fit
According to a dictionary, a hissy fit is:-

"A childish display of anger or frustration; an overly dramatic tantrum."

When did I get angry? Someone else did. You know who? You do. Frustrated? Who? Throwing tantrums and insults? Who?

Oh. Yeah. Me. Again. Or rather who can't handle feedback well.

over how you were booked AND failed to see the bigger picture.
Yeah. Bigger picture. Making a baby face look like a stupid heel. Thank you.

By highest as in people voted you lower than what I voted not the top RP.

You threw a hissy because you didn't like how you were booked so quit rather than offering feedback on how it was dealt with.

How the fuck beep is a midcard title show a wasted opportunity?

By highest as in people voted you lower than what I voted not the top RP.
I got it. But you shouldn't have. Since it was awful.

You threw a hissy because you didn't like how you were booked so quit rather than offering feedback on how it was dealt with.
I just told honestly what I felt to the Head. Unlike insulting or badmouthing the Creative. Or anyone. I quit because of some other reason. I already gave a feedback. An honest one. Hissy fit, is obviously, what I never threw. As per the dictionary.

How the "beep" beep is a midcard title show a wasted opportunity?
Ah. Beep. Good try. Wasted opportunity as I got an opportunity and sort of wasted it because I quit.

EDIT - Thanks for deleting my posts there. Also, at least get facts right. Yemrez walked out ONCE. And came back. Not TWICE.

I didn't delete your posts. You used to message Dagger every other round quitting.

I didn't delete your posts.
Whoever did, I am thankful.

You used to message Dagger every other round quitting.
Lol. Ask Dagger. If it's so, Dagger must know, right? And for your help, let's assume that I did. Just assuming. How's that walking away? I had to leave once due to some problem. I came back after sorting it. I'm leaving now. But I won't come back. How's it twice?

Right, enough.

ShinChan wants to leave, that has happened. I don't understand why you're arguing points here. If you don't want to be a part of WZCW, stop posting in WZCW. It's really that simple.

Woah! I didn't know so much was going on behind the scenes. And I least expected a meltdown from Shinchan.
Fortunately, it wasn't a melt down.

It was just that I told Dave about my displeasure regarding Lottery's booking. And I was going to continue in WZCW. But real life messed up. So, I decided to leave instead of no-showing. And no, regardless of what it may seem, I didn't leave because of Lottery booking. It was genuinely what I felt. But it wasn't like I was going to leave just because of that. No meltdown though. Fortunately.

Anyway, something that has been bothering me lately.

My RP standards have fallen a lot. I'm not able to give it the time I used to, and it means one substandard RP after another. It's become a chore to take out 2-3 hours from the hectic schedule and write something interesting, even when I have a clear idea of what I want to do. But I still love being part of the fed, and would love to be involved at KC.

I'm sure the more experienced RP'ers would've been through a similar phase. What do I do? A break seems plausible after KC, but how do you come out of rut when you have slew of mediocre RPs written and it seems you can't break the cycle even if you want to or have the time to dedicate?

Take a break for a round or 2 after K.C and plot out where you want wren to go. Everyone needs a break on occasion

Genuine question but who is wren? There doesn't seem to be much narrative at all as to who she is and why she is as she is.

There's not much you can do with a character who doesn't speak.

I have to agree with Lee. You have taken Wren very far but it's always a challenge when you can't have your character express themselves personally. From the start, I liked Wren but you couldn't maintain the momentum, no shame on that, it happens to the best of us.

The best advice I can give you is to plot out what you want to do in advance. Try having a overreaching story and shorter goals etc. It takes some planning but you can definitely do it. Just needs some time.

Take it from someone who went about this the wrong way, when it's time to take a break, it's time to take a break. If you really want to go to KC and have to bang out mediocre at best RPs, so be it, but if you feel like you need to charge up ASAP, do it. While doing so, think about where you want to take Wren and don't be afraid to ask for advice. Lee and Dave have suggested you take a glimpse of how Wren came to be, why not try that?

I think Wren is a good character right now, and I do see her getting back on track at some point but it seems that right now it's a good character caught in a unavoidable situation of burnout. It happens to everyone and now it's happening to you. What you decide to do is in the end up to you, but me personally: If you feel like you're trying to drag yourself to finish, then take a break and come back when you're refreshed. If you feel like you have enough left for Kingdom Come, go for it then give yourself a well-earned vacation.

A couple years ago I was given a bit push toward the main event and I just wasn't ready. My RPs were a bit shit and I had no real direction. I took a cycle off just to try to come up with a new strategy and plan and it really did help, just having that extra time with no commitment to plan things.

My suggestion is to try to plan where you wanna go with Wren during the Elite League and try to map that out from here to KC. Then, once KC is over, see how you feel and where you want to take her. You have talent, we saw it early with Wren and glimpses with Veejay, you just seem to have trouble putting it all together into a complete package. So if you need a break, take one post KC. You have a good track record so taking a break and coming back later shouldn't be an issue. Maybe you feel a new character would be your best bet, maybe you come up with something for Wren. Just try to make a plan from now until KC and then after KC see what you feel is best, break or not.

If you have a story that you want to tell, plan it out. That's what I did when I was writing the story with Kagura's book. I told myself, "here's what I need to write for the plot to move forward this round. And this is what I need to write next round." Every round I planned to move the development along. And I just incorporated the WZCW stuff around the story as it came. At LL I caught a glimpse of the story that I think you've been trying to tell, and it just needed some more development. Some more fleshing out with the dialogue and the descriptions.

Like others have said, if you need to take some time off to regather your ideas, then that might be helpful too. I've done that a couple of times myself.
