WZCW Discussion Thread

I was going over the rules for RPing in WZCW and in between rules 4 and 5 there is a box that reads like this ..

Specifically replying to opponents RPs without permission are against the rules and whatnot.

Can somebody flesh that out a little bit for guys like me who have trouble understanding simple things?

Does it mean RPing after your opponent and lashing back at them with components of their opponents RP ? Or does it mean going off about the RP in the main WZCW Discussion thread ? Does it mean PMing the opponent with threat-like reply's ?
Or asking your opponent if you can reply to what they said about you in their RP ?

Out of everything you said this basically applies the most. Can't remember the last time it's happened but let's say someone writes an interview RP and then their opponent writes an RP basically dissecting every line of dialogue in said interview that's a no-no. You can ask to reply to something but I imagine your opponent usually won't let you quote more than a few things at most.

I wonder if anyone's ever been threatened over PM about anything their character said.

Basically your RP cannot address anything that's happened in your opponents work as that puts him at a disadvantage.

Isabel Stone did it against Blade, that is the last time I recall. It was forever ago, more than 2 years from now.

Ironically that's how most efeds go about it. Call and response RPs. It really diminishes the pieces as standalone events and usually it ends up being garbage.

That being said, Showtime and I were pretty notorious for it when we first started out. We didn't do line for line but enough that it was obvious. Clearly we killed that concept rather quickly.

Every time I give up a mod spot, I miss a personal avatar!

Ah well. Merry Christmas from Down Under.

Never knew you were from down under :o Do you even watch Cricket?! If so who's your favourite Cricketer from down under (Regardless of where you're from either Australia or New Zealand or Oceania)

Happy Holidays from a place with the same timezone as the Land Down Under. Hope you all received some awesome gifts and maybe even gave out some awesome gifts!

Technically, Down Under has three or more timezones. Australia itself has two timezones and New Zealand, a different one. Could you be more specific?

Anyway, Happy Holidays mate :)

Cricket is the most boring sport in the world to watch. Then again, I don't watch sports at all. Don't find any of it interesting. Rather be playing than watching, honestly.

Isn't cricket where guys on horses hit a ball through little metal posts or is that Polo?

I never can keep those 2 straight.

Cricket is like baseball with the two bases but you can run as many times until you are out. You have flat bats and you bowl the ball instead of pitching it (over-arm technique).

Ouch that hurts. I'm a professional Cricketer and it flows through my blood. I love cricket even more than wrestling.

Don't take it personally. I'm not a fan of watching any sports. Maybe basketball and Union. Soccer if it's world cup. However, sports just bore me. I'm more story and narrative over competition.

Nah it's nothing personal. I know cricket isn't an established sport like Soccer (football). Cricket still is an international sport played by countries from almost all parts of the world. But I know people have different opinions.

I remember once Netherland was hosting a World cup match between India and Netherlands, people of that town were interviewed. They've no idea what cricket is (lol) and when they were shown the cricket bat most couldn't figure why the baseball bat looks flat. Sad truth is their national cricket team is playing their first world cup match a few kilometres away.

Australia has 3 timezones, but the one in the middle is getting changed IIRC.

I'm going to the Boxing Day test tomorrow because I get in for free, but I'm not that much of a cricket fan. Might be because I never played it, but that's doesn't explain my love for volleyball - a sport I have never even been on a court for or done during PE class. I'm probably (pfft "probably") the most fanatical AFL fan on the forums though since it's obviously the greatest sport in the world and anyone who thinks otherwise should sit in the corner and think about what they thinked.

Ohhh I wish I could be there for the Boxing Day Test. I'm not sure what makes it so special but it sort of gives us chills. Last year I stayed up the whole night just to watch the opening day of the Boxing Day Test!

I also wonder why the Australians are unbeatable in the Boxing Day tests. You're going to get a hell lot of entertainment! I envy you mate.

Oh feedback up for Theron and Ty. Will soon get to the others I hope.

Hehehe the MCG in general is pretty amazing. I always go to the first AFL game of the season and the minute of the crowd roaring before the first bounce always sends chills down my spine. Easily my favourite venue in the world.
