WZCW Discussion Thread

I'd say zombies are still trending pretty hard right now, replacing vampires as the monster du jour. Personally, I can't wait for werewolves to replace them.

If it wasn't for the Walking Dead, I feel zombies would've dropped off the horror charts by now unless there is something else zombie-related on television that I'm not privy to that's also as popular/good as TWD.

Zombies are always going to be super popular Falk. Hell, the comics sold like hot cakes alone and I know a fair share of people who don't read comics actually went out to buy Trades of TWD. Like it or not, zombies are going to be around for a long time.

How do you guys feel about werewolves?

I mean, werebears would be infinitely better, but Rome wasn't built in a day.

Only because they didn't have werebears...

I liked The Howling and Ginger Snaps. Other than that my love for werewolves is minimal.

While I love everything about that pic, Lee, those are more Jekyll & Hyde bears. It's the same principal, though.

Now, while Lycanthropes who change into wolves at will are a better balance if you're doing a multiple supernatural setting (like Underworld or that horrible, horrible emo-fest that shall not be named), it's the existential themes pertaining to ethics, humanity and our relationships with nature, our fellow man and ourselves that really captivates me with the original, "changing with the full moon" werewolf stories.

I saw that (while I was downloading the pic to send to my friends), but it's a misnomer.

I hope that's pointing out they call him a werehog using the man bit and dropping the wolf bit?

Yeah, I wanted to see Yahtzee and raise Young, but turns out he's Scottish.

Stirling Mortlock should have to get an honourable mention. So should Dick Freier's name.

Good choice on the keyboard. Same one I use.

Yeah man, really loving the STRIKE 7 - I really don't want the loudness of a mechanical keyboard and this one has a really good membrane for detection so it's about as good as it gets (plus it looks sweet as)
