What bearing, if any, does the free RP have?

Is it mainly for... not "dicking around" but testing yourself out for what direction you want to go to lead into/after matches, like being an RP on it's own, or after a while are they taken into account for the character and RPs as a whole?

Basically, the RP's for your matches are the only ones that get voted on and what creative uses for the shows. You can write a random RP with your character doing just about anything and it won't be judged or used against you.
