WZCW Discussion Thread

Hate to go back to a conversation from pages back but anyone who sees the tag division as a step down needs a slap upside their head. The division is flying now. That's not down to me stepping down, I'd say that Showtime helped out plenty as did Remix and Harthan, great RPs all three, and Ricky has stepped up massively.

I'm glad I did it. I never enjoyed tagging until now. I always hated how it was judged (in other feds, not just here) but I know appreciate how much effort it took from GD and Low Ki or Holmes and Falkon before that because staying on the same page is tough. If Theo, Yazloz and Shotaro become long term roster members and Crock continues then I see my "step down" as a big old success.

I never hid from the guys in creative that I did it to revamp my ideas of the character, taking a break from the main event has helped, I know that I could slot back in there but I dont need to as so many people from Falkon to Funkay to Gelgarin and Barbosa have all laid claim to the spot that I left. But I cant believe how well it has gone, especially as the build to winning the belts made it seem like it was never going to happen. I certainly don't see the tag division as a lower mid card spot and would argue that it is the only division that can deny being labelled like that.

On that topic, I think Ty will form a team one day but it will be on his terms. He may do it to take a break from the main event - if that happens, no one will take the belts from him.

First team in history: BiA only defend once.

Really? Wow, not even the FHD did that. Damn.

I could have swore they beat us twice before we beat them. Not to take anything away from you and Pancake, because you guys are awesome right now, but that doesn't sound right to me.

Title wins does not equal title defense. Unless I have missed something, every team in history has at most won the titles coming in as the challengers and defended them successfully once... no-one has won the titles to go and defend them successfully twice or more.

The ladder match and one other?

Its very cool if we have that record

I was wrong. Second Coming won in the ladder match at All or Nothing after FHD successfully defended at Civil Revolution II. Congrats to Runn Reynolds Runn!

Yeah, Falkon was right, the FHD was the first team to successfully defend the titles once, only to lose them a PPV later. It was the longest tag reign to date, then BiA matched it with the same length and defence record. Traditionally most teams fail to retain on the first defence. So congrats to RRR for being the first to break the Tag Title curse and set a new trend, that potato has finally cooled down.

Right, I'm calling this now.

Ty wins the Title at KC, then every round, ala Kurt Angle, he has a title match for each WZCW Title until he wins everything.

EDIT: I know Angle won them all in one night, this takes time.

Not going to happen for two reasons:
1. Ty doesn't have the ego to carry out such a task.
2. No Champion can challenge another for their title. I had to vacate before going for the World Title, took me a year to get it done, but I still vacated that belt in good time.

Really loved the match I had with Blade, you are always one of my favourite opponents to face because you bring something new to the mix and challenge me to do more. Given this was my first proper match back, I was glad to get back into things with you. Real shame you're leaving the fed, but glad we got one last chance to compete against each other. And obviously miss all the chats we had in Creative, seriously guys, Blade really gave Creative his all and he will be missed. He wrote some damn fine matches and contributed a lot, when he's time away begins, it will be a big void to fill. Though I know Creative will remain strong, Blade is a guy that will be missed.

Ty, bro, I miss chatting with you.

I think I had a Barbosa type of reply there...

Speaking of Barbosa, I did see him not to look ago, and Celeste, she does wrapping in her space time:

1. As far as you know ;).
2. I can have that changed. Again, ;).

Seriously. MSN on a near daily basis to......flyby tweets? The fuck?

The Tag division is far from a step down, all the main event guys (the big company during it's top days) have dipped into it and never saw it as a step down and plays with effectiveness. And the biggest problem with one title is making sure everyone has room to play without one, Reynolds going to the Tag Division is giving him and the top some room to breathe because there's only so many times that Ty could face him or Showtime before people stepped up. It's the same with Titus and myself, would I consider feuding with Holmes a step down because he was the Elite Champion? F*** no! Funkay has grown so much as a character over the years that I consider it an honour to be feuding with him, and doing feuding with different styles to the norm to even having signs on Raw. Something is only a step down if you consider it to be that, but the Tag Division is a division that is open for anyone to use and it's so much flexible to book in comparison to the WHC. Numbers can step up at any time he likes because the title will come to him one day, but I am enjoying his tag programme and he's still the same Reynolds that faced Ty and beat down Constantine, it's just he's facing a Tag Division that has raised their game to match him. It's always an influence to see big guys competing in the division because you truly learn a lot in the division, and without that division, I wouldn't have even reached Creative levels. Don't underrate that division because you can get to another level with it.

To quote Mr. Ryder 'ARE YOU SERIOUS BRO?!' And I am often up late because of US time zone reasons. But man, I've missed chatting about all the different things, and you were one of the first guys I wanted to talk about the Mania experience to. We have to fix it.

Funny thing is, as far as I remember, I've not seen Ty on MSN since I became a mod. Time differences suck.

You do sleep earlier than he comes on, he usually finishes about an hour at the latest I've seen you up. #notstalking

Now that the team of Saxton and Saboteur has broken up, the tag division's stock has definitely plummeted. Then again, we were never really an official team either. Either way, everything is better with a little spandex in your life.

Funny thing is, I booked WZCW vs. AoC specifically because I was going to stay away from the World Title scene and so it could highlight a lot of the guys I brought up with me in the AoC.

Yep.....glad that worked out so well.

If only someone could have kept you from winning the Lethal Lottery...the head of creative perhaps...

;)

Honestly Ty, at this point you're the person who by rights should be the world champ. Not because you're the best RPer (although the case could be made that you are) but because Ty Burna the character is the focal point of the company and the biggest angle going on in it. For that reason you should be holding the title. Because if you're not you look bigger than the title, which should never be the case in my opinion.

I think the problem is, maybe some of you guys didn't get my invites to my new MSN account since my hotmail became infested with bots messaging me. I'll pm you guys my new MSN addy. It gets pretty sad seeing only Sly and some other person who I don't remember being the only to ever on.
