WWE Summerslam 2014: General Discussion & Aftermath

cena vs brock is not a bad booking. its best booking looking back at extreme rules 2012. My doubt is if brock wins the title at summerslam then how he defend the title and when he loss the title and who he lost.
My idea is brock wins at ss then defend against cena at noc rematche. cena wins the title back from brock at hiac. After that brock attack cena and laid him out. meanwhile rollins end his fued with ambrose. Eventually mitb winner lose series of matches so he lost to ambrose. Rollins cashin and wins the belt from cena at hiac. at survivor series bryan wins the belt from rollins.

Tbh, the easy booking for this would have been:

MitB - Cena wins the belt at MitB. Cesaro wins the Briefcase.

SummerSlam - Cena retains against challenger at Battleground and drops the belt to Lesnar at SummerSlam. Cesaro remains in another undercard programme.

NoC - Lesnar defeats Cena again(or someone else if preferred) in a brutal match which takes him to the limit. Cesaro decides to cash-in and take the belt and complete a face turn, setting up a feud for a later date with Lesnar and Heyman.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

However, as it is now, it is difficult to predict how they will do this programme(assuming Cena is going to win the title for the umpteenth time) and make sure that Brock Lesnar can keep his 'invincibility' intact until at least WM31(where I believe his current contract will end).

That said: Since Mania WWE have been putting fresh guys to the forefront, I'd really enjoy if the Main Bouts of the WM31 card were:

John Cena vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE WHC

Brock Lesnar /w-Paul Heyman vs Cesaro

the Rock vs Roman Reigns

and a storyline I would really love to see.....Randy Orton vs the Wyatt family....

Ok here's where I think everyone is jumping to conclusions, we all mentioned that Cena is the biggest face in the company...and Lesnar is the biggest heel! So what happens when the biggest face and heel battle? It main events regardless of title! There's no reason for Cena to win it to fight Brock 2 months down the line! Everybody is making lists of like 6 title changes from now till RR and it's crazy!

Del Rio wins the title, Cena gets his rematch at whatever the next PPV is, Lesnar interferes costing Cena...bam you have your Cena Lesnar match! With a main event that powerful you can have a match featuring lesser popular superstars for the title! Reigns v HHH at SS, Kane v Bryan, Cena v Lesnar. I just don't think you need to have Cena win this one -.- hell even if they gave it to Orton it would work, just saying

Let's say Bryan returns for SummerSlam...he fights Kane
If he returns later than that...he fights Kane!

There's no way around it, DBry is fighting Kane when he returns, it's the storyline he left on, it needs to finish. I hate it too but it only makes sense!

You can have Del Rio win the World title and fight Cena at the next PPV, Lesnar interferes or Heyman costs Cena bam Cena v Lesnar at SS

Bryan v. Kane at SS to end the feud.

Reigns v HHH to help him get over at SS

Del Rio can fight Cesaro which I think would be a good match or maybe he fights the MitB winner or really any face that WWE thinks is relatively over, maybe RVD just for a good match and to put the title on the line.

To be fair this entire theory works with Orton winning the belt too but with Del Rio winning it we don't have to see Orton v. Cena at the next PPV....again. Plus everybody is counting Del Rio out, maybe the WWE wants to shock us again so who knows

The latest reports suggest that WWE still plans for Bryan to be in one of the main events for SummerSlam, but I doubt he'll be in the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match. I'd say that Cena will win the title at MITB, be challenged by Lesnar for SummerSlam, Lesnar picks up the win and drops the title back to John Cena at Night of Champions so that Cena will be "officially" tied with Ric Flair for having the most World Championship reigns in pro wrestling history.

Is it bad that I could actually see this happening. What better way for Cena to tie Flairs record by beating the guy that beat the streak.

Even though it's still a bit off, I figured I'd go ahead and create this thread since there were reports a few days ago indicating that WWE had decided on four of the top matches for this year's SummerSlam.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship: John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar - Even before the SummerSlam poster or whatever was leaked by Amazon.com, anyone that's kept up with the behind the scenes goings on since after WrestleMania could figure out that Brock Lesnar was going to be in a title feud before long. Reportedly, Lesnar was penciled to face Bryan at SummerSlam before Bryan was sidelined. Considering that Lesnar is set to also appear at Night of Champions, the ppv after SummerSlam, for the first time, it's likely that Lesnar takes the title from Cena and drops it back at NOC.

Roman Reigns vs. Triple H - This is a match that we've been hearing talk about since just after WrestleMania XXX. We saw the first tease of this match this past Monday during the closing minutes of Raw in which Reigns stared Trips down off the ring apron after coming to John Cena's aid. Throughout 2014, Triple H has done nothing but put over younger talent and I don't see that changing here.

Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt - With the surprise return of Y2J on Raw and subsequently being attacked by the Wyatt Family, this bout is likely to happen. Some reports indicate that Jericho's current run will last at least through the fall season and that Jericho jumped at the opportunity to work with Wyatt. Last year, the two of them had a brief feud when Wyatt was still on the NXT roster and Jericho subsequently won the match they had. I think it'd be cool if WWE referenced it, but I doubt they will since they keep NXT & the main roster separate with the exception of a main roster star working an occasional match. If Jericho's run does last through most of the rest of this year, this may not be the only match between them. Ultimately, Jericho will do what he's done best for the past several years: put over the younger guy while looking like a million bucks in the process.

Brie Bella vs. Stephanie McMahon - You can practically smell this match coming. Brie appeared backstage in a brief segment on Raw with Nikki stating she was there to support her man and Steph eventually had security escort her out. She booked Nikki in a handicap tag match in the next segment and appeared on Main Event last night, booking her in a tag match against The Funkadactyls with Alicia Fox as her partner. Needless to say, it didn't go well for Nikki. Given that Stephanie is taking her gripes out on Nikki and that John Cena has become a target of The Authority, I see this taking place as a means of Brie "getting her job back" if she beats Stephanie in at SummerSlam. I'll be surprised if Stephanie is the one who issues the challenge, given that she was obviously reluctant to face Vickie Guerrero one on one a few weeks back. The match could also be a reason to have Daniel Bryan appear at the event, if he isn't cleared by then to wrestle, maybe being in Brie's corner or on guest commentary ringside. The match won't be a technical marvel, but it'll generate a feel good moment and fans will go nuts at the prospect of Stephanie getting taken down a couple of pegs.

The main event for the WWE World title-
John Cena (c) vs Brock Lesnar possibly with a stipulation although I am not certain. As for the winner, with The Streak ending you could make an argument for Lesnar winning BUT if Lesnar is leaving again after Summerslam then John Cena should retain the title all the way and I don't care about The Streak ending if Lesnar does leave post Summerslam and we don't see him again until WrestleMania season. If the plan is for Lesnar to stick around for atleast three months which I highly doubt then he should lose. WWE need reliable stars and John Cena is always going to be there. So for that reason, John Cena wins.

Co-Main Event
Triple H vs Roman Reigns- A match that we all know has been building ever since post WrestleMania, we've seen Evolution go toe to toe twice on PPV but now it's time to see Reigns take on The Cerebral Assassin one on one at the number two event of the year. I am very excited to see this match and how Reigns continues to progress as a singles star heading into the big event and more importantly WrestleMania. I think Reigns wins and moves onto feud with someone like Brock Lesnar or maybe Chris Jericho.

Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt-
the feud started this past Monday, I am going with Bray Wyatt to win this because he can't afford any more losses and has already taken two to John Cena.

So these are my predictions. Feel free to discuss them.

WWE Title - John Cena (c) vs Brock Lesnar
Looks like it is a lock. Great main event and hopefully Lesnar wins the gold.

Triple H vs Roman Reigns
Rumoured match which will probably happen. Triple H can help Reigns much into the Main Event by putting him over strong here.

Randy Orton vs Batista
Batista is set to return for Summerslam. He is at odds with the authority since he quit Evolution so have him come back and go over strong to try and build him back up.

Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt
I hope they do not do this at Battleground. I hope they hold off a 1 on 1 match until Summerslam.

Kane vs Daniel Bryan
Not sure if Bryan is scheduled to be back for Summerslam but if he is, a tune up match against Kane makes sense for his return.

MITB Briefcase - Seth Collins (h) vs Dean Ambrose
Make this match even more intriguing and put the briefcase on the line.

Flag On A Pole - Jack Swagger vs Rusev
This will probably happen at Battleground but a rematch could happen at Summerslam. Make it a flag match so Rusev isnt hurt from the loss. 'Never been pinned' can be used instead of undefeated.

From what I've been seeing/hearing Reigns will square off against Orton at SummerSlam and his match against H will take place at NOC. They want to save Reigns/H for Network renewals.

From what I've been seeing/hearing Reigns will square off against Orton at SummerSlam and his match against H will take place at NOC. They want to save Reigns/H for Network renewals.

I gotta be honest, while I think there's TONS of magic in a Reigns v. HHH match at Summerslam, I have an absolutely zero sum of interest in watching Reigns v. Orton.

Well 4 of my 5 match predictions for SummerSlam seem to be coming true, Cody v Goldust could still happen, pretty pleased :)

Brock Lesner vs john semen = We all jeer and dispprove of this paper champion with 5 moves pleeeez! Lesner is a more serious threat and I liked how they changed him like that when he was a joking jobber jobbing to john semen and HHH last year with all that behind LESNER you can be sure he will win the wwe title. Why? It is clearly stipulated in LESNER's contract for the championship title as was underfaker 's streak
We are all sick and tired of cena if only Bryan was not sidelined with injuries he would have lost to LESNER but HHH dislikes him and LESNER will join Authority and Seth Rollins will interfere allowing LESNER to win
Winner : Brock Lesner
I barely watch worst wrestling excrement cause they placed the title on him again which wwe is not pushing their younger talent as TNA does
Give it to Roman Reigns

Brie Bella vs Stephanie McMahon = Brie Bella

HHH vs Roman Reigns vs Randy Orton = This will be a 2 on 1 handicap match
and possibly Batista interferes

Lesnar will definitely win the title. I hope Daniel Bryan doesn't need a 2nd surgery because Lesnar/Cena/Bryan triple threat at NoC would be great to watch.

I like the idea of Batista v Orton at SS, but as someone mentioned before, Orton v Reigns will probably happen at SS and Reigns v HHH at NoC to accommodate the Network and all those renewals

Obviously Rollins and Ambrose will keep their program going. Will we see a match for the briefcase? This will never happen, but I would love to see them go at it for the case in a Hell in a Cell, because we know Kane will screw over Ambrose again in a regular match, or even a no DQ match

I hope Rusev and Swagger do not have a flag match, although I agree it would give Swagger the opportunity to go over while at the same time not making Rusev look weak.

Will Dolph Ziggler and Fandango continue w/ a program that started on Raw? DZ has been more successful with a chicka at his side. Hope they start pushing him again. I'd much rather see DZ v Cesaro for the IC title, myself...but we'll see

Summerslam 2014 match card:

Sheamus vs Rusev for the US Championship
Rusev takes out Swagger at Battleground, preferably beating him by pinfall rather than submission. Rusev then feuds with Sheamus over the US championship while Swagger's out. Sheamus could be the first superstar to defeat Rusev. Rusev defeats Sheamus in their rematch at NOC and then could probably bring back the European championship for the time being. Rusev and Sheamus can probably have a rematch at Hell in a Cell and then the two can be involved in the traditional survivor series tag team match. Swagger returns for Survivor Series and is also a part of the tag match and then they reinstate their feud. It can go on until Elimination Chamber next year probably when Swagger dethrones Rusev, while Rusev can begin a major program for Wrestlemania and Swagger can have a strong reign as US champ.

AJ Lee vs Paige for the Divas Championship
This match should be saved for Summerslam. They can have a fatal 4 way at Battleground involving Naomi and Cameron.

Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt
They can probably add a stipulation here after their first one-on-one encounter at Battleground, which IMO Jericho should win. Wyatt should win here and in their rematch at NOC.

Dean Ambrose vs Seth Rollins
Add a stipulation and they should save this match for Summerslam. I don't know what they should do at Battleground but I think their first match should be at Summerslam. They're building up this match really well so I think it's best if they have their first match at Summerslam with a stipulation like... a street fight or something.

Randy Orton vs Batista
Batista's return match.

Usos vs Wyatts vs Stardust and Goldust for the tag titles
Wyatts win the titles at Battleground and defend it at Summerslam, or they can have Wyatts finally win at Summerslam.

Roman Reigns vs Triple H

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena for the WWEWHC Championship
Brock shouldn't lose a single match until Wrestlemania next year, where he can drop the championship to Roman Reigns. Heyman can say that Brock will only defend the championship at major shows... and they can have a rematch between Cena and Brock at NOC. Brock doesn't defend his championship at Hell in a Cell. Batista then challenges Brock at the Survivor Series. Brock doesn't defend at TLC. Meanwhile Cesaro gets sick of Heyman always supporting Brock and not trying to help Cesaro and they can have Cesaro hold Heyman as hostage for a championship opportunity. Brock vs Cesaro at Royal Rumble. Brock can then defend the championship inside Elimination Chamber and finally drop the championship to Reigns.

Cesaro can have a match against John Cena next year at Wrestlemania, where hopefully he beats Cena. I wanted Cesaro to be on the card of Summerslam but I can't fit him in! All the major matches need a lot of time.

I actually like this a lot. But you definitely need an IC bout in there. That's where you can throw in a Cesaro v Ziggler or Big E or something.

There's no way you can have a 20 man Battle Royal at Battleground and not have the strap defended at Summerslam. But that would make 9 matches in your scenario, which is a jam packed card

There's no way you can have a 20 man Battle Royal at Battleground and not have the strap defended at Summerslam. But that would make 9 matches in your scenario, which is a jam packed card

This is not gonna happen, but I would have booked it this way.
Dolph Ziggler, Alberto Del Rio, Cesaro and Sandow are the last 4 superstars in the battle royal at Battleground. Del Rio and Ziggler go at it, Cesaro eliminates both men while the two continue to brawl on the outside. Sandow eliminates Cesaro during the commotion but the referees don't see it a la Royal Rumble 1997. Cesaro comes back in and eliminates Sandow to win the championship. Since Authority doesn't like Sandow, they don't give him a rematch...and WWE can slowly build up an intercontinental championship match at NOC between Cesaro and Sandow, where Sandow wins the championship. Sandow can then defend the championship against Cesaro in a rematch at Hell in a Cell, until Barrett returns to feud with Sandow.

This way Sandow can resurrect lol, Cesaro can have something important to do, and the NOC PPV can end up being a very important PPV giving prominence to each championship. Sheamus and Rusev can have a rematch, Wyatts can take on Stardust and Goldust, Brock-Cena rematch, Paige-AJ rematch probably with a stipulation like an I Quit match or something, Cesaro-Sandow which can start from Battleground and Rollins vs Ambrose for the MITB contract.

Why are we so certain Lesnar will drop the belt back to Cena at NOC? Personally, I think he wins at SS, defends at NOC, and then takes the belt "hostage" back with him to Minnesota. WWE can re-hash the 2011 storyline when Punk left and hold a tournament of some sort. Then, come Mania season, Lesnar returns, destroys the paper champion in a Raw segment, and gets challenged by Reigns. Reigns wins at Mania, thus establishing him as the new face of the company.

For me there are two possibilities for this PPV:
Option A - "the wrong one" {which will probably happen} which will see the PPV headlined by Brock Lesnar defeating John Cena to capture the WWE World Heavyweight title.

But there is an Option B - "the surprising one" which will have Roman Reigns win the title from Cena at Summer Slam and that's how it is going to look like:

John Cena {C} vs Roman Reigns - WWE World Heavyweight Championship
At Battleground Cena retains by pinning Kane. Then at Raw the next night Cena throws a challenge to Reigns to face him at Summer Slam for the title saying that if Reigns want to go on to the top he must go threw him - "the massacring stick" "the 15 time world champion" and win the WWE World Heavyweight title at Summer Slam. Reigns accepts the challenge and the match is on.
Result:Reigns wins via a pinfall. After the match Rollins tries to cash in only to get speared by Reigns

Brock Lesnar and Cesaro vs Triple H and Randy Orton
Have Triple H come out on Raw after Battleground saying that Paul Heyman thought he can be bought and that he can manipulate him in giving Lesnar a WWE Title match at Summer Slam that he won't get until he will prove one thing which is that the Paul Heyman guys are better then the Authority. Then Cesaro joins the hunt and Orton is the handpicked partner by HHH. This will be a Heel vs Heel type of feud.
Result: Lesnar and Cesaro win after Cesaro pins Orton

Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose
At Battleground the match between the two will not even start and will just be one h*** of a fight. Then a rematch accours at Summer Slam.
Result: Seth Rollins wins via a pinfall in a cheat way after he hit him with the MITB briefcase after the referee was distracted

Chris Jericho vs Bray Wyatt
Wyatt will win via a Disqualification at Battleground with what should have been the ending of his WM 30 match with Cena which is he get so big into Jericho's mind that Jericho will hit him with a chair causing a Disqualification. The hunt by Jericho continues at Summer Slam.
Result: Bray Wyatt wins via a pinfall - clean

Batista vs Kane
I hope that from Summer Slam until TLC / Royal Rumble - Batista will be in a hunt story against the authority who betrayed him. So he starts his hunt with his scheduled return to face Kane.
Result: Batista wins in a quick fashion via a Pinfall

Bo Dallas {C} vs Rob Van Dam vs Dolph Ziggler - WWE Intercontinental Championship
Dallas wins the battle royal at Battleground and then continue his I bo-lieve gimmick feud against Ziggler who can chase him for the IC Title for a while {RVD gets on his hiatus after Summer Slam so it he can't continue the chace here}.
Result: Dallas retains by pinning RVD who takes his hiatus afterwards

Luke Harper and Eric Rowan {C} vs Kofi Kingston and Big E vs Goldust and Stardust vs The Usos - WWE Tag Team Championship
You have a match to show the strength of the tag title division with the Usos getting their rematch from battleground after they lose the title to the Wyatts and the teams of Kingston / Big E & Goldust / Stardust will have their way into the match by attacking the Wyatts.
Result:Harper and Rowan retains by pinning either Goldust or Stardust

Jack Swagger vs Rusev - Flag match
Continuation of their Battleground rivalry where the match will end with Rusev winning via a pinfall and then aftermath Swagger will put the Patriot Lock on him making him fate. The reason for the flag match except the fact that this is a nation vs nation feud is that it will allow Rusev to lose without getting pinned or submit and give Swagger some momentum to his face turn. Also this could be the start of a new Rusev feud where he will be distracted by another "real american" {preferely Mark Henry} allowing Swagger to capitalize.
Result:Jack Swagger wins & Rusev attacks him afterwards and Mark Henry returns to have the save but gets beat up too

Stephanie McMahon vs Nikki Bella
I know it should be Stephanie vs Brie but I think they should save this match to night of champions and have the feud build up even further where Nikki will step up to the plate first against Stephanie.
Result:Stephanie wins via a Disqualification after Brie comes down and attack her

\AJ Lee {C} vs Paige vs Cameron vs Naomi - WWE Divas Championship
The feud continuing from Battleground after AJ wins via a roll up Paige turns heel and the feud continues. You add the Cameron vs Naomi feud which will at the match or at NIght Of Champions. You can have Paige win here by pinning either Cameron or Naomi and then at NoC have AJ win the title in a big blow off match to the feud {Submission / I Quit match will be fit}.
Result: Paige winning the Divas title by pinning Naomi

\Kickoff: Sheamus {C} vs The Miz - WWE United States Championship
Have Miz and Sheamus eliminate each other from the IC Title battle royal. Then the two start feuding because they had cost each other the IC Title. Sheamus can say he ruined his dream to be the 1st ever US IC Champion.. Miz can say he ruined his image in Hollywood. This feud can continue afterwards with Miz making sure the brough kick is no long legal because he will ruin his "money maker" and so on... can be a great feud. The match can end in a way to build so with Sheamus about to hit MIz with the kick nly to have Miz rolled out of the way and lose via a CO.Then at NoC or even Hell In A Cell Miz can win the US Title and be what he is best at - be a Heel Mid Card champion.
Result: Sheamus retaining via a Count Out

You can also have Adam Rose feud with Fandango during the summer but this match does not have place in a packed PPV like this.
So the my SS card will look like that:
kickoff: Sheamus {C} defeated The Miz via a Count Out to retain the WWE United States Championship.
1.Luke Harper and Eric Rowan {C} defeated The Usos & Goldust and Stardust & Big E and Kofi Kingston in a Fatal 4 way tag team match to retain the WWE Tag Team Championship.
2.Stephanie McMahon Helmsley defeated Nikki Bella via a Disqualification.
3.Jack Swagger defeated Rusev in a Flag match.
4.Seth Rollins defeated Dean Ambrose
5.Bo Dallas {C} defeated Rob Van Dam in a Triple Threat match to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
6.Batista defeated Kane.
7.Paige defeated AJ Lee {C} & Naomi & Cameron in a Fatal 4 Way match to win the WWE Divas Championship.
8.Bray Wyatt defeated Chris Jericho.
9.Brock Lesnar and Cesaro defeated Triple H and Randy Orton.
10.Roman Reigns defeated John Cena {C} to win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
That way it will be a great PPV which builds a great follow up at NoC.

Ah, I didn't think about that. That would be an interesting scenario. It definitely would help the world title scene not be so predictable.

Who would you say wins the Rumble?

If it was up to me, I'd have Brock win the title at Summerslam, lose it back to Cena at NoC and F5's Cena 3 times after the match. Rollins comes out and cashes in on Cena. Shock value!

Rollins successfully defends his title against Cena at HIAC with the help of The Authority but he loses the title back to Cena at Survivor Series, giving Cena the record breaking 17th title reign.

Cena defends the title one more time against Rollins at TLC, Cena wins. Cena goes into RR as champ but loses the title to the returning Brock Lesnar. Reigns wins the RR. Lesnar faces Cena at EC and defends the title successfully.

Reigns vs. Lesnar at WM31. Reigns wins the title, cementing himself as the new #2 guy in the WWE.

John Cena (C) VS Brock Lesnar -No DQ-
Lesnar wins due to distraction from Heyman.

Aj Lee (C) VS Paige
Paige wins after an aggressive assault on Aj Lee

Batista VS Triple H
Batista wins clean

Roman Reigns VS Randy Orton
Roman Reigns wins clean

Dean Ambrose VS Seth Rollins (Briefcase on the line)
Seth Rollins wins due to distraction from Kane

Bray Wyatt VS Chris Jericho
Bray Wyatt wins clean

The Miz (IC) VS Dolph Ziggler VS Sheamus (US) (Title Unification Match)
Dolph Ziggler pins The Miz to get retribution from Battleground

The Usos (Tag Champions) VS Goldust and Stardust (Pre Show)
Stardust claims the tag title win for his team

So Lesnar takes the belt back to Minnesota and holds it 'hostage'...yet only a few weeks ago Daniel Bryan and Wade Barrett were stripped of their belts because they couldn't compete.

Why is Vince Russo posting on here?

This needs to be the biggest & best Summerslam for a long while tbh but because of injuries and walk outs it will be an average Summerslam in my opinion, the card will look decent but the matches may be shit, my card will be:

1) Sheamus (C) Vs The Miz
United States Title Match. It speaks for itself could be a decent opener and have Sheamus retain the title and could also set up a fatal four way match for night of champions with Wyatt Jericho and Miz.

2) Aj Lee (C) Vs Paige Vs Natalya Vs Alicia Fox
Fatal 4 Way Match Diva's Title. Could be interesting.

3) Chris Jericho Vs Bray Wyatt
Should happen here for the first time.

4) Seth Rollins Vs Deam Ambrose
Money in The Bank Briefcase Match. Have Rollins go over.

5) Brie Bella Vs Stephanie McMahon
This has to happen.

6) The Uso (C) Vs Goldust & Stardust Vs The Wyatt Family Vs Rybaxle
Four Corner Elimination Tag Team Title Match.

7) Roman Reigns Vs Randy Ortan
Singles Match.

8) Cesaro (C) Vs Dolph Ziggler Vs Bo Dallas
Triple Threat Intercontinetal Title Match. I heard this match was supposed to have taken place so I'll put it on my card and have Cesaro retain the title and then Barrett comes out of nowhere to smash the winner.

9) John Cena (C) Vs Brock Lesner
Wwe World Heavyweight Title Match No Dq. Have Lesner go over as the winner.

This is shaping up to be another solid Summerslam this year. The build up and anticipation for this PPV have been very good so far. After last night, this is what the card looks to be.

John Cena (c) vs. Brock Lesnar for the WWE World Heavyweight Title

Roman Reigns vs. Randy Orton

Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins

Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt

Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella

Jack Swagger vs. Rusev

AJ Lee (c) vs. Paige for the WWE Divas Title

The Miz (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the WWE Intercontinental Title

Pre-Show: The Usos (c) vs. Rybaxel for the WWE Tag Team Titles

The Dust Twins will likely have another bizarre backstage segment unless this "Cosmic Key" they're always going on about, means the Tag Team Titles, then they might face The Usos for the belts instead.

Like a previous poster, I was thinking Batista vs. Triple H but surely he would've returned by now if the match were to happen. There's only 2 weeks left, he could still come back but it's not enough time for the two to provide a great build up. Or Batista could return during the PPV, interrupting a Bo Dallas in-ring promo. Bo Dallas calls him Bo-tista, calls Hollywood, Bo-llywood, tells LA and Batista to Bo-lieve, gives Batista the thumbs up, Batista gives him back the thumbs up then the thumbs down, and Batista Bombs him all the way to hell.

this is how i see Summerslam somewhat playing out

Brock Lesnar vs John Cena WWE World Heavyweight Title Match
i think we all know who wins this match. itll be best for business which means i think HHH sends out Cesaro possibly (it also plants the seeds for Lesnar v Cesaro) to "help" Brock go over. Seth Rollins possibly teases a cash in, in which HHH proceeds to talk him down at the end of the PPV

Brie Bella vs Stephanie McMahon
my only questions are does she actually wrestle and who helps Stephanie go over in this match lol, a heel turning Nikki? i see a catfight too. it just sucks Bryan couldnt have been healthy for this match : Brie and Bryan vs HHH and Stephanie. Money booking right there.

Jack Swagger vs Rusev Flag Match
not much to say about this match except i think itll go about 5 minutes and that Swagger goes over by grabbing the flag, showing us Merican pride, and giving the Ruski Rusev a loss without getting pinned

Bray Wyatt vs Y2J
not much to say about this match either. i think Bray goes over in about 10 minutes. i expect this match to be significantly better than their Battleground encounter. Bray needs to "win" this feud

Seth Rollins vs Dean Ambrose Falls Count Anywhere Match
a lot of people expect this match to be for the briefcase..me personally i think this feud has at least 3 matches in it right now. This feud has been really physical so far, so i don't know that a straight up singles match will kick off their series of matches. Falls Count Anywhere is a good place to start, in which Ambrose can go over..then at night of Champs the case can be on the line and Rollins goes over with help. However if this match at summerslam is for the case i see Rollins going over with help from Authority.

Wyatts vs Usos vs Dust Brothers vs New Nation 4 Way Tag Title Match
i think the key that the dust bros are referring to are the tag titles. i think in this match we see the new nations first go around on PPV but the Wyatts FINALLLLLY go over and win the damn things, leading to a weird fued between the Dust bros and them lol

AJ Lee vs Paige Submission match for the Divas Title
i think a stipulation has to be added to this match to give a little more fan interest, but i fully expect this match to be one of the best of the night, as long as WWE gives them the time and opportunity..and this comes from a guy who isnt the biggest women's wrestling fan

Miz vs Dolph Ziggler vs Bo Dallas Triple Threat for the IC Title
Miz comes home to Hollywood lol. i think he goes over, however i would not be surprised if someone else does..this match can either be really good bad depending on time and positioning. it should kick off the PPV

Cesaro and Kane vs Sheamus and RVD
the reason i added this match is because Cesaro needs to be on the card..since hes trying to join the Authoirty, what better way than to have him and Kane tag up to tag on sheamus and RVD, 2 "anti" authority guys

thats 9 matches i listed..i think Summerslam will only be 8, and possibly the IC title or the tag title match or the tag match i made up being the pre show match.

Just wanting to say that the WWE is giving us what looks like a freakin stacked card. I'm very excited for this show. Most of the matches have either several months of build or they're so epic in their proportions (Cena/Lesnar) that it's hard not to care.
