What five matches do you want to see in the next 12 months?

rge2010

Mid-Card Championship Winner
In 12 months time Wrestlemania 31 will be over. The question is simple, which five matches do you want to see on various PPV's throughout the course of the next 12 months?

Summerslam 2014 - Triple H or Batista vs Roman Reigns
Reigns is doing very well, but he needs that one big win to elevate him to that next level. This can be achieved by beating a legit main eventer like Triple H or Batista.

Summerslam 2014 - Daniel Bryan (c) vs Brock Lesnar
Billed as a David vs Goliath. It sells. I think Bryan should now hold the gold until Summerslam where he faces his toughest test yet in Brock Lesnar.

Survivor Series 2014 - Undertaker vs Sting
I dont think Taker will appear at another Mania after last night. This match ahs to happen though now Sting has joined WWE. It won't be a classic, but it will be iconic. Have Taker bow out at Survivor Series - the PPV where it all started 23 years ago.

Wrestlemania 31 - Daniel Bryan vs Kurt Angle
Angle will return to WWE. He will finish his career there. I think him and Bryan can put on a 5 star match that will be talked about for years to come.

Wrestlemania 31 - The Rock vs Brock Lesnar
I think we will see this at some point as this was initially planned for Mania 30. The two biggest names currently involved in Pro Wrestling going head to head = $$$.

(Heel) Cena vs Daniel Bryan at Royal Rumble: This is just me being a fanboy here but that Cena/Wyatt match last night restored a TINY bit of hope in a Cena heel turn eventually. No titles, no stipulations, just a straight up fight we never thought we would see.

Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan at Summerslam for the WWEWHC: Huge potential for this match to be a classic David-Goliath story... also huge potential for Bryan to die in this match... but IWC fans (Bryan) + casual fans (Lesnar)= huge draw

CM Punk vs Bray Wyatt at Survivor Series in a #1 Contenders match: Don't care if Punk comes back or not, but these two guys are psychological masterminds on the mic and inside the ring. Plus both have "cult" followings and can put on one hell of a show.Would like to see both guys playing their heelish selves because this is when they are at their best.

Undertaker vs Sting at Mania 31: Just a match that really should happen and it can't be anywhere but Mania. I know that they're both old and done, but still for historical reasons it MUST happen. Now that the Streak is over it would be just a straight up one on one match to see who is better. I honestly think thats why the Streak was ended this year.

Orton vs Triple H vs Batista at Extreme Rules: Give us the other Mania main event so we're not left wondering, what if? I can see Trips flipping out on Batista and Orton telling them they suck, they're nothing but B players, they couldn't even beat a wasted little troll, blah blah blah setting up a match. Sure it wouldn't be for the title but it would be nice to see the match that some fans did want to see at Mania

IF CM Punk returns:

SummerSlam 2014 - CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan. It will be an amazing match regardless and this time it can be heel Punk vs face Bryan. Punk can return at Payback (hell, the ppv title fits what he intends to do), come out next RAW and state Bryan stole his spotlight, etc. Great promo and great match.

Wrestlemania 31 - Roman Reigns vs Triple H. It's true that Reigns needs that big stage singles victory to push him over, and Triple H needs to retire as a competitor. I think it makes sense. I am just tired of the Authority / Rebel storyline so any new build-up is much appreciated.

Survivor Series 2014 - Roman Reigns vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins for the US Title AND Cesaro vs. Swagger vs. (whoever the IC champ may be at that time) for the IC Title LEADING UP TO A UNIFICATION MATCH involving the winners of both matches. Amazing thought in my opinion.

Wrestlemania 31 - Cody Rhodes vs Randy Orton. Rhodes needs to go over and become a main-event player. It's been a long time coming and I don't care if its heel Rhodes and face Orton. Reigns. Cesaro, Big E, and other newcomers will get their dues when time is right but not before Rhodes. He deserves it.

Brock Lesnar vs. Y2J or Kurt Angle or Cesaro . I don't know when this match would occur but it should. Anybody who is tough enough to take the bumps, and technical enough to put on an amazing match with Lesnar. Heck, let's throw in Swagger's name for the fun of it. If they actually turn his character into the serious wrecking machine he can be, I'd take him as a great competitor.

Not just matches, but programs....

Daniel Bryan vs Lesnar - This is bound to happen.

Daniel Bryan vs CM Punk - With right build up and put on a big stage, it could be not just a 4 star match, but 5 star match. - If this never happens, I personally feel like it will be go down as a huge regret, in line with Hogan/ Flair not going on a big stage.

Sting vs HHH - I think it makes the most sense, as it gives HHH a fresh take on "WWE first" vs "Non WWE guy" - plus it doesn't put Sting in an awkward position of going over a younger guy and "taking his spot".

Cena vs Career Ending Injury - Let's hope CEI goes over. But, who are we kidding Cena doesn't sell or let others go over.

Aj vs Paige - Trish vs Lita 2.0

Daniel Bryan (heel) vs. CM Punk (face) - "I Quit" match - Any of the "Big 4 PPVs" - I would only do this with DB as the heel and Punk as the face. I think it would work much better that way.

The Rock vs. Randy Orton - Wrestlemania 31. - I know they fought in their younger days but I'd like to see it at Wrestlemania.

Cesaro vs. Jericho - IC title match - Jericho could put Cesaro over and I believe they'd put on a great match.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns - Now that Lesnar has broken the streak, Reigns would get over even from losing to Lesnar.

CM Punk vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin- This is a dream and likely nothing more than that. The hype and build up would be more epic than the match itself I think but it would be awesome.

1. Daniel Bryan Vs. CM Punk.
I know this is the match everyone else wants to see. I don't care who's the bad guy or who's the good guy, I just want to see these two have a straight-up classic wrestling match. One of them having a title and putting it on the line would probably make it better, but it's not necessary. Better yet, have them start their feud at SSlam, then keep building it slowly. Team Bryan vs. Team Punk at SSeries, with the winning team's captain choosing when their last match will take place and what the stipulation will be (WM31 30-minute Ultimate Submission match).

2. Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns
Probably won't live up to the hype, but the build alone should be incredible. If it's going to be Roman Reigns, then as much as I hate it, they're going to have to split the Shield. Why not have Reigns claim he's the strongest superstar in the WWE right now? I know they're having him turn face, but nothing wrong with being at least a little cocky. Then have Reigns challenge for the WWEWHC around, say, TLC? Lesnar returns, again, costs Reigns the match and starts the build for WM31.

3. Paige vs. AJ Lee vs. Natalya for the Diva's title

Just a fantasy match. Bring Paige up by SSlam, have her get a title shot above all the other Divas, and beat AJ, finally ending her reign. Natalya then gets PO'ed, because she hasn't held the title in so many years and here comes this newcomer, who wins it her first try? AJ already has her rematch, and now Natalya wants a shot, so make it a 3-way. Doesn't matter which PPV this is.

4. The Wyatt Family vs. The Ascension

It's only a matter of time before they bring up The Ascension, so when they do, give them a little time to establish themselves, have them undefeated for a while like with the Shield. They're kinda creepy like The Wyatts, so play on that. Have Bray take notice of this, and try to bring them into the Family. They refuse, and attack him. This pisses off Harper and Rowan, so they challenge The Ascension at, say, whatever the September PPV is. They fight to a no-contest, so the rematch is a handicap Hell in a Cell match at the HiaC PPV. Doesn't matter to me who goes over.

5. Undertaker vs. John Cena

I know it's kinda pointless now, since the streak is over. But why not have Cena come out and say he's the one guy who's never faced him at the Showcase of The Immortals? Cena says this is the one thing he HASN'T done in his career. He wants to see where he stands against the "yardstick" of the WWE. He wants the Undertaker at his best, and he's never been better than at WrestleMania.

Cesaro Vs. Brock Lesnar (SUMMERSLAM/WM31) This match is a huge potential power Vs. power senario where WWE can really build up Cesaro as a beast and give him an awesome showing against Lesnar, Lesnar has to win now though.

Cena Vs. Batista /U] this has happened countless times before but I feel like were going to see it one more time

Orton Vs Jericho I don't recall seeing a feud between the two so I think this could be damn entertaining because either man can pull of either role

HHH Vs. Roman Reigns This could tie into a anti authority face Roman Reigns who broke off from the Shield (now in HHH's corner) taking down HHH once and for all and giving control back to Vince (in Reigns corner)

Bray Wyatt vs Seth Rollins
They both have the quoted "unorthodox styles" but at the opposite end of the spectrum of each other. I don't have a specific event for this because even if it's just a really good RAW match I just want to see these guys go for 15-20 minutes, I don't need a build up or a storyline. Just one match where they both do what they do best.

Summerslam:
Brock Lesnar vs Daniel Bryan for the championship
No brains in this pick necessary, and if this isn't the plan going forward then I'd be more shocked than I was last night (hyperbole). Though I am on the Daniel Bryan spectrum of fan-hood under the "huge mark" section, I hope to see lesnar get the belt to create a better story going forward.

Roman Reigns vs John Cena
It might be coming close to the time when Cena passes the full-time touch and starts doing the twilight year events. I'm not precisely the biggest believer in Reigns right now, but everyone says he's the next guy, and I believe the WWE will get him there soon enough.

WrestleMania 31:
Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro
Can you imagine a face vs face match between these two if they get the right storylines through the next year? Yeah that's a bucket list match for me.

Reigns vs Lesnar for the title
To be the man, you have to beat the man.

Roman Reigns vs Cesaro - Both men will be elevated to star status after their feud, cementing them as TRUE beasts in the company.

Brock Lesnar vs Batista - I actually wanted this to be done at Wrestlemania 30. If WWE would've had Batista make a surprise return & not hand him WM Main Event status right away, he'd still be over as a babyface. They actually teased this match for EC but they didn't follow thru w/ it.

Undertaker vs Sting - This should take place at WM31. And now that Taker has finally tasted defeat, makes this match MUCH more interesting and intriguing. This is a dream match for all fans of wrestling. Make it happen!

Daniel Bryan vs Kurt Angle - This should also take place at WM31 & I would love for this match to be an "I Quit" match. Two of the best in-ring technicians will guarantee a 5-Star match.

CM Punk vs Stone Cold Steve Austin - Not sure if Punk is ever coming back or if SCSA is willing to step in the ring again. But this match would be the greatest Icon vs Icon match in Mania history. Two anti-hero's w/ a similar rebellion, but who's personalities are polar opposites. Just imagine the Promos between these two! That alone has me sold.

1. Daniel Bryan vs. Randy Orton - 60 minute Iron Man match
- This feud was arguably the main feud dating back to last year. With Bryan the champion, have him end his long-time rivalry with Orton in a 60 min Iron Man match. Obviously, Bryan would have to go over, but it would be a cool match to see and will bring closure to their feud.

2. Daniel Bryan vs. Kurt Angle Summer Slam 2014 - Submission Match
- It's evident Angle wants to be back with WWE and finish his career with the company that made him a star. WWE hasn't had a submission match in a long time, and what better way to bring it back than to have two submission specialists?

3. Batista vs. Brock Lesnar SummerSlam 2014
- Say what you want about Batista but I would like to see this match happen: two beasts going at it, both with MMA backgrounds. I think its easy booking and will be a good draw for the WWE.

4. Cesaro vs. Roman Reigns
- It's clear these two are the next stars in this business, although both lack mic skills, they're damn fun to watch in the ring. I think both of them will come up with some dynamic spots in a hard hitting contest.

5. Randy Orton vs. The Rock Wrestlemania 31
- Randy Orton was another guy that pulled no punches when asked about The Rock's return. Both of them are third generation superstars, so it would be an easy match to book and build around. Orton will be around for the next 10 years or so and is still a top draw in the company. Without him holding the titles anymore, he needs a high profile match. The Rock is always in shape so I know they'll tear the house down.

Orton Vs Jericho I don't recall seeing a feud between the two so I think this could be damn entertaining because either man can pull of either role

Save us Y2J?
I'm here to save us from you Orton?
From now on it's going to be pure entertainment, pure Jericho?
One of the most epic comeback of all times?

5 matches that I WANT to see, no CM Punk as he's not here, I also don't use the same wrestler twice:

1 - Brock vs Rock WM 31
2 - Roman Reigns vs Batista
3 - Here's a twister here : Dolph Ziggler vs Seth Rollins
4 - Bray Wyatt vs Orton (I hear voices in my head!)
5 - Another twister : Del Rio vs Dean Ambrose
Bonus : Bryan vs Cena (Curious to see what would happen there)
Last one : Cesaro vs Swagger ... don't make them move on before they faced eachother and had a feud together,

Daniel Bryan (c) vs Brock Lesnar The logical progression (once the Title rematch are out of the way) for the two big winners from WM is out of the way.

Daniel Bryan (c) vs Bray Wyatt 2 Wyatt already has the clean PPV pin over Bryan, now the WHC is on the line...

Evolution implosion Randy hates Dave, Dave hates Randy; both let Triple H down but they'd tell you it's his fault for making a one on one a three way. Who'll lay the claim to being Evolution's best?

Roman Reigns vs Cesaro Number one contenders match for two guys trying to establish their single's identity.

Daniel Bryan (c) vs... The Rock [WM31] I'm not, personally, a fan on the Rock since WM27 (for reasons I'm sure I'll be trotting out in the WZT soon enough) but even I have to admit I'd love to see what would happen if the Yes Movement was to come up against the People...

One concern I have at the moment is were John Cena goes after Bray Wyatt?
Orton? Batista? Triple H? Been there done that! Lesnar? Apparently Brock was less than impressed about Cena's no sell following their last match to extent he was willing to call his return off after one match. My choice? Someone who could potentially rival Wyatt at the mind games - Dean Ambrose. Will he be involved in the Title? I'd doubt it while Bryan is Champion... well... unless... you know... and, I suppose, if the streak can end, anything can happen...

Depending upon storylines and, as always, execution these would be great ones IMO.

5. Dean Ambrose vs Randy Orton: Ithink their conflicting personalities would play well off of each other.

4: Bray Wyatt vs Taker: Completely unlikely, almost to the point of an impossibilty. But, their characters seem custom made for a feud. Although 10 Years too late.

3: Roman Reigns vs Lesnar: Obviously too early for this to be a title feud, but I'd like too see the power comparison.

2: Cesaro vs Sheamus: I actually think this would be entertaining mainly due to Cesaro's deceptive Strength.

1: Bray Wyatt vs Triple H: Doubt Trips would book himself in a row, but Bray vs authority seems right

I'm not gonna use WrestleMania 31 as there's a separate thread for that card, all my picks would ideally happen between now and the Royal Rumble.

Daniel Bryan vs Cesaro - Iron Man match
It may be 30 minutes instead of an hour, but I'd take that. I think it would be a great main event for a show like Night of Champions or Battleground, I mean I'd love it at Summerslam but it would probably eat up too much time for that PPV.

John Cena vs Brock Lesnar
Brock has ended the streak but the one guy who has beaten him with no receipt since his return is John Cena. There last match was incredible and since we don't know how much longer Brock will be around I think we could do with one more.

The Shield & Bryan vs Evolution & Kane - War Games
Yeah I know, but this feels like the prime time to do it, the perfect groups are in place and this could be special.

Paige vs AJ Lee - Submission match
I was going to say a ladder match but I'm not sure AJ could lift one or if her slight frame could take a bump on it or a hit from it, but I think the Divas need a rivalry that ends on a big stip match, and given the finishers AJ and Paige have this would work a treat.

Seth Rollins vs Randy Orton
There's a lot of talk about Roman Reigns singles push and about him getting a match with Triple H at Summerslam, but I think Rollins upside is huge as well and he could do with a big PPV singles match this year, Orton would be the perfect opponent stylistically.
