Enjoying Wrestling
Or hell, have Barrett come out to do the tease about Bryan not going to be no. 30 and then have Bryan hit him on the way down. The rage suddenly turning to joy would have been glorious.

How dumb are you? When over 20,000 people hijack your show to chant for one guy every week for over 8 months, you fucking listen. Not alienate them.So I guess the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match has only 1 wrestler in it? See I always thought there were at least TWO wrestlers. Sometimes they even have MORE then 2 wrestlers.
And Batista belongs there as he's a bigger star and brings more buys then Daniel Bryan. Just like why The Rock belonged higher in the card at Mania then CM Punk.
The Rumble started off well I thought and then massively decreased towards the end. They wasted Rumble places on superstars that didn't need push or even deserved to be in there, A lot of tag teams went into there tonight? There not the ones who need the push it's the lone superstars who are getting used wrongly as jobbers who need that. The Usos, JBL and Possibly The Wyatt's places could of went elsewhere to more deserving superstars.
Why give Batista the win? We all knew it from a mile off that he would win it but Batista has a name and wouldn't be short of a setting up a normal storyline not via RR. They has the perfect chance to give a young talent a chance on the biggest stage of the them all why crafting a interesting story line between him and his ex/fellow teammates Rollins and Ambrose integrating into his title push.
Perfect Storyline: Regins wins. Shield get rid of him after he gets rid of them both. Starts rivalry with Orton. Orton hires Ambrose and Rollins and creates a alliance with them who are still a tag team. Orton V Rollins at WM30. Ambrose and Rollins get tag titles push. Orton v Rollins= Rollins win. Dubbed the new legend killer. Fairytale like story. In the coming weeks Ambrose v Rollins v Regins setting up rivalry for a storyline including the title. Giving three fresh new talents and chance.
Creative need to listen to the Fans and Critics for Mania. Have the right matches and crowd pleasers and not bore fests
Exactly... so I guess the AE wasn't the crippling wrecking ball of garbage some believe it was.
Did he have the Gracie Jiu Jitsu logo on his tights?
But yeah, the arm accessories and the weird length tights and the half tennis shoe half wrestling boot combo was all around an off putting look.
There's also a noticeable difference b/w the Rock's comeback and Batista's. The people were actually excited for one when he came back and lukewarm at best for the other. I'll let you decide which was which.
Yet they're making a fortune and are on top of the world. Interesting how that works.
The hottest act in wrestling doesn't always win the Royal Rumble.
Did you watch the conclusion of the match? He was pretty much heeling it up rather well. Sure he entered a face (a returning legend always is a face even if they left as a heel) but by the end he was a heel.
That's moreso due to them having a monopoly on mainstream pro wrestling than the quality of the product.

so what major movie is Daniel Bryan in? Until Daniel Bryan gets a major role in a major motion picture (or anything major outside of wrestling) Batista is LIGHT YEARS ahead of him in terms of stardom. And as far as Stormy saying Batista's a bigger star than DB.... not anymore. Rock is still a bigger star, not Batista.
To be fair, Batista was announced for weeks and Rock was a total surprise. Also it was about twice as long of an absence.
For the long term in ring product, indeed it was.

Don't be stupid. Yeah Bryan is a better wrestler. Yeah I would have preferred Bryan winning. But he didn't and I'm not upset because everyone and their mother knew Batista was winning as soon as he was announced as returning.
Jesus, If they had played the start of Bryan's music and had Barrett interrupt it. Bigger heat than Hogan turning.

But doesn't it still show much bigger and better the Rock is than Batista? I mean why should Batista get Rock type treatment when he's clearly not on the same level? I'm totally fine with him having a high profile match at WM, hell I might say that I'm fine with him winning the Rumble, but just don't justify it by saying "it's b/c he's that big of a deal" when he's clearly not.
Some years are more storyline heavy while others focus on wrestling. I have no idea how that hurt wrestling going forward. WWE has gotten less and less creative with the stories it tells. That's a pretty big issue when your show is a soap opera for men and children. Watching the same guys have the same fake matches week after week with weak stories (outside of Mania season) probably isn't the best recipe for long term success.

So why don't we ever celebrate Eddie Guerrero's Royal Rumble victory? Oh yeah because while he was ridiculously over they went with some other guy to win the rumble even though he wasn't as over, and it was a giant mistake. How dumb are you? When over 20,000 people hijack your show to chant for one guy every week for over 8 months, you fucking listen. Not alienate them.
It's obvious Batista is in the main event because of his role in Guardians Of The Galaxy. There's just one problem. The fucking movie is scheduled for August. We've seen Batista as a top star for years. We know what he can do. The crowd wants something new. That something new is Daniel Bryan. This would be like the 1998 Royal Rumble with Steve Austin totally omitted from it.
yes, because it's already been widely reported. PLUS when it is advertised Batista will be the champ. For a movie that hasn't even been fucking advertised yet?
This is a huge topic for itself, but I think constant turns damaging character integrity is a much bigger problem than shades of grey. If characters mantain their integrity it's doable and opens up a lot of possibilities. Also the idea of taking away villains vs. heroes was horrible and would be proven wrong inside of a month if given the chance.
