WWE Royal Rumble 1/26/14 LD

I just watched it. Bryan V Bray was unbelievably good. Some of it was holy fuck that really happened.

Big Show vs lesnar was boring as fuck and should not have existed on the Rumble. In fact Lesnar is so fucking boring it isn't funny.

Cena v Orton was middling, it was average really.

Rumble until the end was fine. Kevin Nash was fine, JBL was fine but could have been replaced with Bryan. El Torito was what he should have been and what he was, he was a comedy bit in the middle of the serious, it broke the rumble up a bit, they need to do that. This year there is the depth of talent on the roster that a 40 man Royal Rumble should have been done.

I'm just going to say it already tired of Batista was hoping punk reigns or even ziggler or cesaro not him winning more teasing of goldust vs. Cody which I see working as goldust as the face vs. Cody the heel. I mean goldust is getting the best pops I've heard for him in some time improving the arsenal (I'm with the guy who loved Dustin hitting the yoshi tonic but don't forget the cannonball senton from the apron for an over 40 year old guy to hit that was impressive) anyway Dustin gets the better pop of the two and Cody is superb as a heel especially in my opinion the undashing version I see it going where Cody blames Dustin for not being there when billy hit the fameasser and then in the rumble the accidental elimination. So far I'd like to see the following happen at mania.
One goldust vs. Cody
Two taker vs reigns (young guy pushes taker to the limit)
Three d. Bryan vs Orton or Batista for the title (have Batista cash it in like cena did a couple years ago)
Four the Wyatts vs cena and the prime time players
Five outlaws vs. real Americans (yes turn the real americans face get rid of zeb and bring in either a divas with mic skills or get hulk hogan to manage I mean he can't go physically anymore not a bad thing but he was/is a good talker he could get them over as a face team people want to cheer for jack and Antonio)
Six Ambrose vs. Rollins (again time to turn someone and Ambrose is the best heel in the business as well as a great talker so keep him heel and turn Rollins face watch pre shield Rollins the crowd eats his offensive and gimmick up they love it. It's hard not to cheer for him
Seven would love to put sting for mania but I think if it does happen with him I think think it will be like goldbergs debut the night after but I see it being better anyway match seven big e. Vs mark Henry if marks back by then if not four way match big e. Vs the miz vs kofi vs fandango
Match 8 Cm punk vs triple h will happen
I'd like to see Brock vs sheamus and big show vs Kane round it out
Pre show match usos vs Gabriel/Kidd vs Los matadores vs. sandow/Barrett (yes I think they would give each other a good push teaming up good on the mic and good in ring it will happen besides it sits up for a potential face turn for Barrett who is another the crowd wants to cheer for)

The pathetic people who think that Daniel Bryan is the greatest thing ever and need him to win virtually every match on every card need some enlightenment.

https://twitter.com/LanceStorm

he is one of the few people who is actually being LOGICAL about this whole thing.

And one more thing, if he tags with Cena to face the Wyatts and they have HULK FUCKING HOGAN in their corner is that enough for you? I mean it'a Hulk Fucking Hogan.

You want him in a major match at Mania and there's 2 months to go before it and all you think is he'll fall way off the radar because he won't CHALLENGE for the title. Grow the fuck up.

I feel sorry for you having such a hard time defending the machine right now. But I take comfort in the fact that you'll always find a way. Rock on.

Hey guy who threw a hissy fit when Kofi kicked Miz in the head. Is it possible the guy who just suffered a concussion two weeks ago is taking a break from top rope head butts?
You don't think it could have been storytelling, do you? Did anyone else Bray Wyatt trying preside over a marriage between Bryan's head and the ring post?

Turns out I was kinda wrong on my last post. The fan did give the middle finger to Batista and Batista gave the middle finger right back to him. Then when Batista was at the top of the ramp he held up both middle fingers to the fans while doing the Yes motion. I didn't see it clearly because I was 10 rows from the top of the arena and just heard people yell "he flipped him off!" and assumed it was only a fan doing it.

What section were you in? I was in 232 I couldn't see much when he started going up the ramp. So I probably missed it all.

Don't know, didn't watch. Between my wife being sick, Chicago looking like Armageddon last night, the prospect of the rumored five matches upcoming for WM, and especially Batista winning the Rumble caused me not to care enough.

The question was sincere. Considering the comment came from Stormtrooper I figured there was a simple logical explanation he was missing.

I know I'll take grief for saying this, but is it at least possible that WWE actually has a plan going forward and that this is just a step along the way and we all need to be a little more patient? I realize its been ongoing for quite a while and they are in danger of waiting too long to pull the trigger. But it's not out of the question that this is all building to an epic Daniel Bryan "yes" moment at WM30. Not a Summerslam moment. Not a Royal Rumble moment. A Wrestlemania moment. Or am I being ridiculously naive?

I think they might claim that but I don't believe it for a second.

I'm more than open to the theory.

Of course I am tickled by habs being the one to state it. We all know he would never give other wrestling company's such benefit of the doubt. ;)

You're asking DB fans to be patient. That's like asking Ziggler fans to admit he's bad on the mic. It's just never going to happen.

This.

Sometimes Vince & Co fuck up (I know, insane right) and they have to scramble. The machine would love us to believe they always have a master plan, but this is one of those cases that they clearly disregarded the fans. In the end, Vince will write the history of this how he wants & claim it was his vision all along.

It's been said that the writers present Vince with what's going down, he accepts it, then on the fly, he'll change something major... like Wyatt going over Bryan or sending Rey out as number 30 instead of Bryan.

Vince has booked on the fly a whole lot more than people realize.

I'm not saying every angle or storyline is this way, but I'm sure Vince changes things very often, and with little notice.

Also... a HUGE logical breakdown.

So if Punk is thrown over the top rope by a non-participant, then he's still eliminated?

I find that to be completely nuts. If Punk wins the Rumble over big Dave, then the fans don't boo near as badly.

A non entrant eliminating someone has been a rumble tradition for, like, ever. (Example: Hogan eliminating Sid in 92)

Kane eliminating Punk is nothing new.

A possibilty, but seems like a stretch especially when this is your last traditional PPV forevever.
