WWE Royal Rumble 1/26/14 LD

This is a huge topic for itself, but I think constant turns damaging character integrity is a much bigger problem than shades of grey. If characters mantain their integrity it's doable and opens up a lot of possibilities.

Look at Hogan at Bash at the Beach 1996 followed by Kane and/or Big Show in at any point after 2000 if you want proof of that.

We're actually debating Rock vs. Batista? Why would I waste my time with that?

I would like to think everybody would agree with this sentiment.

I have no problem with him winning the Rumble. He's not the best thing ever and there are better options at the moment, but he's not David Otunga.

I'm all right with him winning. It was a little disappointing at first like I stated earlier but after soothing my inner smark, I've come around to the logical side. In the end, Batista was one of the better and only choices to win if you look at who was in it.

I mean do they actually give it to Reigns, who while is good and on his way up, but WHC match at WM? Nah brah, I'm not buying that and that goes for the rest of the Shield on that matter. No way in hell that Sheamus or Del Rio becomes a 2x Rumble winner. Ryback, Kingston, and Ziggler are false hope at this point. The Brotherhood, Usos, and Real Amercians are good tag teams but just that good tag teams with only Cody actually having a shot due to past singles run. The rest were just filler. Only Punk and Bryan (if was in it) had a real shot besides Batista, but apparently the higher-ups have something different for them plan for WM, and we're just going have to wait and see.

I just hope Batista/Orton isn't the ME though. I don't doubt them having a good match or anything, but the crowd would shit on it so hard that it's going to be worse than HHH/Jericho at WM 18.

Nah there's no way you can give it to Reigns before his face turn. It's coming though.

I absolutely cannot imagine Orton vs. Batista headlining. Not at all.

So why don't we ever celebrate Eddie Guerrero's Royal Rumble victory? Oh yeah because while he was ridiculously over they went with some other guy to win the rumble even though he wasn't as over, and it was a giant mistake.

You're seriously saying Benoit wasn't as over or more than Eddie in early 2004? You're seriously saying that? Do you have hearing problems?

I'd laugh my ass off if WWE were actually crazy and stupid enough to have Sheamus and Daniel Bryan headline just to keep the crowd from having a fit.

Probably gonna go to the Taker match though.

The fans were assholes during Cena and Orton's match, but it ended up being more interesting than I thought it would be. I don't blame the fans for their reaction to the Rumble though. Regardless if Daniel was advertised or not, DB is the guy right now. The WWE is trying to tell us that Batista is the guy but the fans are saying "Go fuck yourself."

The crowd for Cena vs. ORton was WAY worse.

I was pissed off they were shitting on a match that was pretty damn good, but at the same time I understand the sentiment since absolutely NO ONE wants to ever see Orton and Cena step into the ring against each other ever again.

I get the idea, but complaining that Bryan isn't in every title match is too much. The Rumble was justifiable at least.

Orton and Cena (mostly Orton) did work that crowd though. I wonder if the using each others finishers part of the match was called on the fly or planned before.

Yeah, props to Orton, he douched it up. I do have a soft spot for wrestlers using each others finishers.

so what major movie is Daniel Bryan in? Until Daniel Bryan gets a major role in a major motion picture (or anything major outside of wrestling) Batista is LIGHT YEARS ahead of him in terms of stardom.

We all have heard people (wrestling crowds, football crowds, casual fans, etc.) chanting YES! at the top of their lungs for months. When has Batista ever gained that big of a following across the board? Even when he was popular Dave never had that big of a crowd reaction from so many people. How many times did we hear "Batista!" being chanted at sporting events across America? Concerts? Bryan did that without a fucking movie.

Oh, and speaking of movies....

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1176985/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Riddick was the biggest movie he was in & his role\screen time was shit. Anything he was in he could have been replaced with anyone his size & no-one would have noticed. Not a single person bought a ticket to those films to see Batista. So lets not go saying how big of a star he is because of that. The man barely even has a name tag....

I was at the event and stayed until Batista left. When Batista was walking up the ramp he was shaking some people's hands and he got to a guy and the guy didn't shake Batista's hand and gave Batista the double middle finger to his face. It was hilarious. Batista mocked what was left of the crowd when he got to the top of the ramp by raising his arms and doing the Yes motion.

Being a Daniel Bryan fan, its good for me to finally know that they will NEVER give Bryan a run at the top (longer than 5 minutes or 22 hours) and to never cheer for him at a live show again because it don't matter anyway. If I want Bryan to get a run with the WWE Championship (longer than 5 minutes or 22 hours), I need to boo him or show a complete lack of interest in him at live events.

In WWE now, the fans are always wrong. Remember to always cheer who WWE wants you to and boo who they want you to at live shows. Your opinion as a fan means less than nothing in this era.

The key show is Raw now. THere's still a lot of time to change this as Wrestlemania isn't for two and a half months.

So Mick, how did you feel when your pal The Rock just came in and headlined two Wrestlemanias and won the championship over guys who bust their ass?

If they're going to change anything, which i doubt they do, how do they do it?

Batista is going to be the heel & talk trash.... so why not use that? He goes on the usual rant & mocks the fans, saying Bryan is a joke, not on his level, etc. Why not have Bryan come out (to a huge fucking pop, again) and challenge Dave to a match with his shot on the line. (since Dave is such a confident cocky heel- he would)

Simple, easy and nothing to over think. Authority tries to screw Bryan left & right, but they keep the underdog thing going and Bryan keeps beating the odds. Leaves Dave open to fight whoever without fucking up the title match. Batista continues to be a douche & Bryan goes to WM which is what everyone wants.

Turns out I was kinda wrong on my last post. The fan did give the middle finger to Batista and Batista gave the middle finger right back to him. Then when Batista was at the top of the ramp he held up both middle fingers to the fans while doing the Yes motion. I didn't see it clearly because I was 10 rows from the top of the arena and just heard people yell "he flipped him off!" and assumed it was only a fan doing it.

Unfuckingbelievable. I hope they have a storyline planned, or else shit is getting hijacked for a long time.
