Reading this LD is reason enough why the Cena angle probably shouldn't have been done. If there's anyone out there that thinks Cena is going to lose to Kane at the Pay Per View before he faces the Rock at Wrestlemania, they are thinking at a whole new level of stupid.
This whole thing is simply to get Cena to think a little differently and to fuck with internet fans who don't get it. Cena's line at the beginning of his promo tonight was a direct shot to all of you who still don't get it: "it was a good plan, and it might have worked on anyone else, but I am not anyone else". Some people don't simply fall into this depthless abyss that is a wrestling character. Too much is invested in a Cena or HHH for one simple thing to "turn them heel". This angle is done to mess with Cena but ultimately get him ready for Rocky and Mania. Killing time but keeping people guessing.
With that, you aren't suppose to look at tonight's event and be like "wait, is Ryder the heel, is Cena the heel?" Neither are. It's guys reacting organically to a situation like any other TV show or like reality in general. If the girl you liked made out with your buddy and you saw it, you'd be pissed too but that doesn't mean you become a terrible person because of it. And if this girl jumped you and you had no idea why but you knew your buddy liked her, you'd feel weird and you'd immediately try and straighten things out with your buddy. Basically, you'd do exactly what Cena did, you stop your friend who is understandably angry over a misunderstanding, from doing something he will regret. Now, normally you don't have a masked dude throw you off a stage afterwords but that's what makes this a WWE situation and not a real one.
